This is a spectacular California SL500 with an astounding 32,000 miles since new.  This is a Palm Springs area car since it was bought new and shipped to the Desert immediately after being purchased by the original owner.  Over the next 11 years they had it well maintained and accumulated 31,000 miles.  It was then traded in on a new Bentley, to store at their winter home in Rancho Mirage.

The Bentley dealer then sold this Mercedes its second owner, a good customer and friend of ours who regularly buys interesting cars, plays with them for a matter of months and sells them. This Mercedes is nearly as-new.  We notice two very, very small chips in the paint, otherwise it is as-new.  We have been told that other than the dealer inspection and our testing, the hard top has never been removed from the car.  We believe it.  The soft top is new and appears never to have seen the sun!

Even the undercarriage appears never to have been driven in the rain.  It would make sense as it almost never rains in Rancho Mirage!

The grey leather interior is absolutely as-new.  It looks fabulous with the silver paint.

The car was fully certified by Mercedes-Benz as a Certified used car.  The 5.0 liter 302 hp engine and automatic transmission is delivered through new radials installed for the certification last year.  It has traveled about 500 miles in the past year!

If you looking for the best SL500 around, we think you’ve likely found it.  It is nearly as-new with no excuses at all.
