Our mission with our collector car marketplace is to create an extraordinary experience for buying and selling high-quality collector cars. Our role is to make the transition of a cherished motorcar from one caretaker to another easier.
We Buy, Service and Sell high-quality collector cars through Private Sales (Consignment). Our clients have ranged from major collections to new enthusiasts entering the hobby. Classic Promenade is a dba for Copper Luxe Classics LLC. Located in Phoenix, AZ, we have been serving the classic car hobby since 2002.
Our collector car marketplace is staffed with dedicated professionals with a passion for classic and vintage motorcars. Our team members have distinguished careers in business and have been life long collectors of fine motorcars. We are Ladies and Gentlemen serving Ladies and Gentlemen in the Collector Car Hobby.

Kendi Brown’s passion for classic cars is both lifelong and deeply personal. Kendi’s love for engines and machinery goes back to her earliest years. She has always felt at home in the driver’s seat of anything with an engine including a variety of offroad vehicles, heavy machinery and watercraft. She’s been part of the car community since high school with a focus on post-war engineering innovations and the timeless design principles that make vintage cars rolling works of art. Her lifelong passion now finds its fullest expression through her recent joint acquisition of Classic Promenade. For Kendi, it’s the perfect intersection of heart and horsepower. A place where her operational mastery meets a deep appreciation for vintage engineering and automotive heritage. Her vision is to build a business that not only celebrates classic cars but also creates long-term value for her team, her clients, and the broader collector community.
Kendi is a dynamic force in operations and growth strategy, with a career that spans the high-paced worlds of tech startups, luxury travel, and private business transformation. Having held critical leadership roles in venture-backed companies like Opendoor and Kindred Concepts, Kendi has led initiatives across all phases of growth, from pre-seed to IPO, and has revitalized businesses facing profit decline. Whether overseeing Opendoor’s 50+ national markets or building the operational backbone of high-growth companies, her expertise lies in optimizing systems, scaling with intention, and driving bottom-line results. Through her own firm, Coati Consulting, Kendi partners with high-growth companies to bridge the gap between strategy and execution, ensuring operational excellence that supports sustainable profitability.

Jake Brown’s passion for classic cars began at home, holding the flashlight while his dad worked on their family’s 1967 Mustang, a car he proudly owns and has since fully restored. That same passion recently led him to partner and acquire Classic Promenade, a natural extension of his automotive journey. Jake brings a modern, growth-focused perspective to the classic car world while honoring its heritage, with a vision to elevate the customer experience and build on the business’s legacy. His approach combines deep-rooted enthusiasm for classic automobiles with a proven track record of operational excellence and a people-first leadership philosophy.
Jake is a partner in Freedom Brands LLC, a growing automotive enterprise headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Under the Freedom Brands umbrella, Jake operates multiple locations throughout Arizona specializing in automotive paint and bodywork, servicing nearly 5,000 vehicles annually. Each shop has seen exponential growth under Jake’s leadership thanks to his focus on operational excellence, strategic marketing, and building teams that stay and succeed. Prior to co-founding Freedom Brands, Jake managed large-scale logistics operations across five states, overseeing nearly 750 employees. That experience sharpened his skills in team leadership, scaling systems, and driving performance, laying the foundation for his ongoing success with Classic Promenade.

Dale L. Shafer II brings a lifelong appreciation for classic automobiles and a strong background in finance to his latest venture: the proud new joint owner of Classic Promenade. As the founder of Life Moves Wealth Management, a fee-only advisory firm based in Scottsdale, Dale has spent years helping business owners and entrepreneurs align their personal and financial goals. He is both a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and Certified Business Exit Consultant® (CBEC®) and now blends that financial acumen with his enduring love of vintage motorcars.
Dale’s passion for special cars can be traced back to his childhood. At the age of eight, he was invited on a group cruise in a 1974 Corvette Stingray, a visceral memory of revving engines, leather seats, and the unmistakable joy of the open road. That early experience, along with the cinematic glamour of Robert Redford’s 1928 Rolls-Royce Phantom I Ascot Dual Cowl Sport Phaeton in The Great Gatsby, sparked a lifelong fascination with pre-war luxury vehicles. Raised in a family of skilled auto mechanics, Dale’s appreciation for automotive craftsmanship is both nostalgic and deeply rooted. Outside the garage, he is an avid outdoorsman, musician, and dedicated community leader, serving as a past president of Rotary, a graduate of Scottsdale Leadership Class 38 and a current board member. With his thoughtful approach and personal passion, Dale is excited to steward this business into its next chapter while honoring the legacy of classic cars and the community that loves them.

Melisa Shafer
Melisa Shafer brings a unique blend of resource management, leadership, and global perspective to the classic car world as one of the new joint owners of Classic Promenade. Her appreciation for classic cars began during her college years, when she enjoyed hanging out in the University auto shop and driving a ‘73 Porsche 914. That early exposure sparked a lifelong interest in historic vehicles, deepened over decades of attending car shows and auctions around the country.
With nearly 30 years of experience as a physical therapist, a decade in home health care leadership, and a lifetime love of international travel, Melisa has honed expertise in managing complex operations, coordinating interdisciplinary teams, and navigating unique environments. Known for translating big-picture goals into practical results, she now brings that same strategic, team-based motivation to the world of collectible automobiles. Melisa is excited to match fellow enthusiasts with their dream vehicles, combining old-world automotive craftsmanship with modern service excellence.

Harry Clark
Harry Clark has been a significant collector of motorcars since he was 15 years old (Harry is Hal’s son- so the passion is in his genes!). Although for twenty years he was busy as the founder and CEO of two very successful high growth companies, he always participated heavily in the top levels of the Classic Car hobby. He has a special affinity to CCCA Classics and has collected and enjoyed marques such as Packard, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Bugatti, Pierce Arrow and Cadillac. He was honored to serve for two terms on the National Board of Directors of the Classic Car Club of America and The LeMay Museum. He is a CCCA Master Judge and actively participates (as a judge and/or exhibitor) in numerous Concours events including Pebble Beach, Amelia Island, Salon Prive and others.
Harry is active in the awards ceremony at the Pebble Beach Concours and served for 15 years as Vice-Chair and/or Field Marshal of the La Jolla Concours. Harry is the bestselling author of “Mistakes Millionaires Make” and has made keynote presentations to CEO associations in 80 cities in 30 countries. He enjoys making an impact by teaching and helping people.
Harry was the founder and CEO of two INC 500 Companies, a Senior Officer of a Fortune 100 company and was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year. Harry also was named Citizen of the Year for the Boy Scouts of America. He has a Bachelors and MBA from Cal State Univ, Long Beach. Harry has been very active as Chapter Chair and on the Regional Board for YPO Gold Arizona and has been a YPO member for over 30 years.

James Retterer
James Retterer serves as the Service Advisor at Classic Promenade, bringing over three decades of hands-on experience in restoring and maintaining both American and European collector cars. Prior to joining the team in Phoenix, James spent 28 years in Palm Beach, Florida, where he serviced six private collections totaling over 75 classic vehicles. Known for his deep mechanical knowledge and calm, methodical approach, James is a true master at diagnosing and solving the unique maintenance challenges that come with vintage automobiles.
Over the years, James has completed full restorations on a dozen classic cars, including marques such as Mercedes-Benz, Lagonda, Aston Martin, Triumph, and Jaguar. His roots in motorsports run deep as he began racing alongside his brother in 1976, driving a 1965 Shelby Mustang S Model at tracks including Watkins Glen, Pocono, and Mid-Ohio. Today, he brings that same passion and precision to every vehicle that passes through Classic Promenade’s doors, ensuring each one is preserved and maintained to the highest standard.

Santos Pool is the Detail Manager at Classic Promenade, bringing over 20 years of professional detailing experience to the team. Known among clients and colleagues alike as nothing short of a magician, Santos specializes in concours-quality detailing with expert-level skill in paint correction, wet sanding, polishing, and conditioning. His meticulous attention to detail ensures that every collector vehicle he touches—whether for sale or show—is presented at its absolute best.
A true enthusiast at heart, Santos has a deep love for collector cars and takes immense pride in his role within the classic automotive community. Outside of the shop, he enjoys golf and soccer, and in 2019, he proudly earned his U.S. citizenship, an achievement that reflects the same dedication and perseverance he brings to his craft. Santos is a vital part of the Classic Promenade team, ensuring that every vehicle leaves the shop in concours-ready condition.

Faiz Ullah is the Digital Content Manager at Classic Promenade, where he leads the editing and distribution of digital media, including uploading YouTube videos and producing the company’s email newsletter. With over 15 years of experience in operations, customer service management, and project execution, Faiz brings a unique blend of technical skill and strategic oversight to Classic Promenade’s digital presence.
Faiz is based in Hyderabad, India, and is fluent in English and Hindi. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and an MBA in Human Resource Management. Faiz is known for his attention to detail, consistency, and ability to deliver high-quality content that supports the company’s mission of showcasing exceptional collector cars to a global audience.
