Classic Car Marketplace: Buy or Sell through PRIVATE SALES

Among the classic car services Classic Promenade is pleased to offer is the Private Sales (consignment) of a wide range of collector motorcars. We have an inventory of vintage cars that can meet the most discerning taste of top collectors. In addition, we always attempt to have on hand vintage motorcars for those new to the hobby or with restricted budgets. We conduct an inspection of each car and disclose our findings to the seller along with recommendations for repairs. Our service team will make the repairs at a reduced billing rate of $120 per hour. Items that are not repaired are disclosed to the buyers. We strive to be transparent about the condition of the cars, as we work for the benefit of the seller and buyer equally. Purchasing from us is straightforward and cost-effective. We charge a $395 documentation fee and no other added costs to the buyer for the transaction (excluding any agreed to additional services or transportation costs). Whether one car or an entire collection, we are serious buyers. We are always looking for great motorcars!

Classic Car PRIVATE SALES

We are pleased to offer the sale of classic cars via Private Sales consignment on behalf of the owners. Private Sales consignment means that you retain legal ownership and the title of the car, while we market and sell the car on your behalf, operating in essence as your agent. The sale of the car remains as a private party sale and the title is transferred between the seller and the buyer. For many sellers, the ability to attain a fair price seems daunting. Others seek confidentiality and prefer the sale to be handled discretely and privately.

We also understand the risks and costs associated with selling through traditional auctions. We understand the needs of collectors and are pleased to assist in the sale of specialty motorcars through Private Sales consignment.

We are very straightforward with our rates. Nothing is paid upfront and the fees are collected from sale proceeds. Our Private Sales consignment fee for sales is ten percent (10%) of the final sales price and the fee is collected from the sales proceeds. In addition, we charge a $100 marketing fee for eBay Motors, plus any other actual expenses related to the preparation of the car for sale or other expenses (bank fees, FedEx, etc.). The inspection services and any repair work needed to maximize the net sale proceeds are billed by us at $120 per hour. Further, it is better for the Private Sales consignment car to be located at our showroom, but we can also arrange for the car to be retained at your remote location. Detailing, Restoration and Service

We are proud to be the only consignment and auction company where you can send your car, running or not, and we handle everything from transporting it to us, repairing as needed, detailing, photography, etc. One phone call or email to us is all it takes to set this in motion. We have your car picked up and a short while later your collector car will be sold in a manner to maximize your net sale proceeds.

We offer full detailing and partial restoration services depending on the client and motorcar, including concours quality interior, wood, mechanical and paint. James Retterer has about 30 years’ experience each and offer world class results by working with our team of craftsmen.
