Harry's Thoughts
THE ESSENTIALS
This was bought as a birthday present from Indian Motorcycles of Long Beach in July of 2000. It has been part of our collection every since. This is completely stock and has factory upgrades including the Indian windshield, saddlebags, crash bars, backrest, raised floorboards, etc., etc. It has always been serviced by the dealer (Indian Motorcycles of Corona) or Harley specialists and has recently received its first new set of tires, both front and rear.
I just completed my weekend ride covering about 160 miles so it now has a total of 7,370 miles. The photos you see are without a detailing and after my ride. The bike has never left Southern California, has never been laid down and has never been damaged in any way.
The price when new was about $27,000. We have all the receipts, owner’s manuals and the original sales invoice from Indian Motorcycles of Long Beach.
Indian motorcycless are absolute crowd pleasers. It looks similar to a 1940’s Chief but has the S&S high performance engine and reliability and relatively modern technology. It is fast and dependable- a joy to own! The original exhaust was modified to be the first level up for noise, so it has a nice rich sound for safety and enjoyment without being very loud.
I don’t think you will often find such a nice example of a low mileage, flawlessly maintained Indian Chief. This is a great opportunity to own a fabulous motorcycle.
