THE ESSENTIALS

This is a beautiful 1956 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special that is an older restoration that is in very good overall condition with 21,000 miles. The Sixty Special was top of the line model offered by Cadillac that has a spacious and luxurious interior similar to a limousine. The gorgeous Cobalt Blue exterior with the rare optional gold trim along with front and rear air conditioning, make this an ideal classic daily driver, weekend show car or touring.

The Cobalt Blue (Paint Code 26) paint has a beautiful shine and luster and is in great condition with minimal rock chips that have been touched up from normal use. The original color combination for this car is Pecos Beige (Paint Code 44) and Taupe Metallic (Paint Code 48) and was changed to Cobalt Blue when restored.  The gold anodized grill is original and is in great condition! The gold anodized grill is a rare upgrade for the Sixty Special that stems from the highly popular Eldorado models. The chrome and stainless-steel trim are beautifully polished and largely show quality with normal imperfections from use. The Cobalt Blue paint is complemented by the American Classic bias-ply wide whitewall tires with two brand new tires. The exterior is in overall very good condition and needs nothing to be enjoyed!

The interior of this Cadillac is in very good overall condition reflecting a very good quality older restoration. The interior is a Dark Blue Brocade with Grey Broadcloth with Dark Blue piping and is in very good condition. The Dark Blue dashpad is in excellent condition, and the steering wheel is in good condition with three minor cracks from normal use. This Sixty Special has front and back air conditioning through overhead vents that have been recently serviced and blows cold. One of the two rear AC blower motors is not operating. This Cadillac comes with the Autronic eye, Wonderbar AM radio works well and power adjustable front seats. The power antenna motor works and the antenna mast needs to be replaced. Overall, this Cadillac is in very good condition and would be a great car to use as a classic driver, at local shows or touring.

The Sixty Special features its original 365 cubic inch V8 that is powerful and smooth with its four-speed Hydramatic transmission. The engine compartment is very well detailed for local and regional shows. This Cadillac has power steering and power brakes. According to the title and seller, the original actual mileage is 21,000. A safety inspection and service has been completed. This Cadillac is ready to be enjoyed!

The Cadillac Sixty Special is a name used by Cadillac to denote a special model since the 1938 Harley Earl–Bill Mitchell–designed extended wheelbase derivative of the Series 60, often referred to as the Fleetwood Sixty Special. The Sixty Special designation was reserved for some of Cadillac's most luxurious vehicles. It was offered as a four-door sedan and briefly as a four-door hardtop. This exclusivity was reflected in the introduction of the exclusive Fleetwood Sixty Special Brougham d'Elegance in 1973 and the Fleetwood Sixty Special Brougham Talisman in 1974, and it was offered as one trim package below the Series 70 limousine. The Sixty Special name was temporarily retired in 1976 but returned again in 1987 and continued through 1993.
