This striking XK120 Roadster, finished in its factory-specified Racing Green paint with tan leather upholstery and black top, was dispatched from Jaguar’s factory in 1954, destined for Oregon. The XK120 remained in Oregon all its life until recently being moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. The owner has passed and we are assisting the family with its sale. This is part of a multi-million dollar collection of classics.

Great pains were taken to achieve a period-correct presentation and prepare the car for the highest levels of judged competition. The high-quality restoration was completed in about 1995, and numerous receipts and correspondence documented the process.

The XK120 was unregistered from 1974 until 1989. This contributed to the very low original mileage. Of more importance perhaps, the restorer was able to use most all of the original hardware, simply refinishing the original bolts, washers, etc. This contributes to this cars authenticity and accuracy of restoration. All components listed on the Jaguar Heritage Certificate match those presently on this motorcar.

The present cosmetic condition is nearly perfect in every respect. There are some light scratches on the deck inside of the rear window and a few minor paint chips from the closure of the boot (these have not been touched up and are shown in the photos AND inspection video). Under the bonnet, there is normal cosmetic cracking of the porcelain coating on the exhaust manifold.

Mechanically it is excellent. There are a few small unattended to items that need attention, including: the horn, wipers, turn signals and the cigar lighter.

While the Jaguar has less than 1,000 miles during his approximate 20-year ownership, the car benefited from regular attention. An impressive file of records accompanies the sale, as does a proper tool kit, jack, air pump, and owner’s manual. Beautifully presented, with attractive disc wheels and rear spats, this XK120 Roadster is sure to excite the Jaguar purist.
