Harry's Thoughts
THE ESSENTIALS
This 1950 Ford Coupe is a mild custom on a California car since new. It has accumulated 12,800 miles since completion about 15 years ago.
The Coupe has received many subtle modifications including: nosed, decked, frenched headlights and tail lights, an added third tail light for safety. It has the 1950 Ford Crestliner side trim, a recessed rear license plate and custom two tone paint and pin striping.
Under the hood is a 302 cu in High Output 5.0 liter Ford engine with roller cam and lifters, Edelbrock intake and Holley 4 Barrel carburetor. The engine is a very low mileage motor.
Fatman dropped spindles and steering arms are used with lowering blocks in the rear. ECI front brakes have been added with drum rear brakes.
The drive is through an automatic overdrive transmission and of course it is complete with air conditioning and heat. It has a complete stereo system and electric antenna with a Dakota digital keyless entry system.
The interior we think is the highlight. It features tilt wheel, rolled and pleated Mellowhide grained upholstery that looks very rich in Marooon with contrasting White piping. The headliner is contrasted in white with maroon piping and the woodgraining is well done and adds a very elegant feel to the interior. The occupants are protected with three point safety belts.
The gauges were all refurbished and updated by United Speedometer. Everything works well and the car is used regularly. this is a very nice proven cruiser and is located in Lake Elsinore, CA by one of our clients.
