2009 Bentley Arnage RL (LWB)

22k Miles, Exceptionally Appointed, Rare!

$105,000

Harry's Thoughts

This is likely one of the nicest, lower mile RLs extant. I love the Peacock Blue livery with the abundance of extra chrome and stainless. It is elegant yet sporty (as much as a LWB can be). And watch the test drive video for when I punch the throttle!! It's much like a rocket launch!

THE ESSENTIALS

PRICE REDUCED!!!  This is a nearly showroom new 2009 Bentley Arnage RL (LWB) that is exceptionally appointed and has travelled a mere 22,000 miles from new.  This example has all the desired features such as the wood veneered door panels, cocktail requisite, refrigerator for champagne and wine, entertainment system and a multitude of Mulliner custom specifications.  These are incredible cars and capable of competing well with Rolls-Royce Phantoms and Maybachs.

This was acquired new at Bentley Vancouver and was used sparingly through its entire life.  The Bentley was imported into the US on November 20, 2019 and was acquired by its present owner on January 24, 2020 with 11,700 miles accumulated.  It now has 22,300 miles and has been regularly serviced by British Automotive in Scottsdale.

Featured in Peacock Blue (Paint Code 146506) livery, this Bentley is stunning with its 19” chrome wheels and chrome grill surround, matrix grill inserts and the Flying B mascot.  The paint is in gorgeous condition with no noticed defects.  The RL (LWB) Arnages were about 10 inches longer than a standard Arnage and the extra length was added in the front door, rear door and C-pillar to provide the same proportions overall as an Arnage.  The look is absolutely fabulous.

But the true magic of the RLs is its interior.  The massive legroom in the rear is reminiscent of a Singapore Airlines first class cabin.  Incredible legroom and crystal, Medrona wood veneer and mouton sheepskin overlays abound.  The Magnolia leather (Trim Code SBT MA) seats are complimented with Peacock piping.  There are picnic tables, writing tables, extra compartments for whatever one desires.  The cap rails have imbedded Flying B logos and the headrests have embroidered Flying B’s sewn in.  Dual umbrellas are stored in the trunk.  Of course, there is an entertainment system and a premium Naim Auto system as well, featuring US TV and iPod interface.  The wood veneer is perfect and only the driver’s seat shows slight wear, the rest of the interior is exceptional.

The venerable 6.75-liter twin turbo V8 has 450 hp which launches this massive Bentley like a rocket ship.  In the test drive video, we show you our first experience at full throttle- it was incredible and exhilarating.

This Bentley is complete with all of its manuals, books, many service records, remote controls and battery tender.

In 2001, the Arnage LWB (re-named the RL from MY2003), a long-wheelbase model (250 mm (9.8 in) longer than the Arnage), was launched. The extra length is added to the car at both its front and rear doors and its C-pillar to maintain its proportions. With the standard Arnage model, the rear wheel wells butt up against the rear door frames, but with the LWB & RL they are a few inches further back. The overall effect is a larger rear area inside the car. This style of saloon stretch is sometimes called "double-cut" in the United States, due to the two main points where the car is extended.
