This is a gorgeous and elegant Ferrari. While featuring its powerful V12, the 456M GTA is executed with more sophistication and beauty. In this rare and beautiful color, this example is simply stunning. Check out the fitted factory luggage!

THE ESSENTIALS

This 2000 Ferrari 456M GTA is one of only 650 produced and is in overall excellent condition. She’s been well cared for, with regular maintenance and service of her V12 engine throughout her mere 22,750 miles from new. The rare gorgeous exterior color accentuates the elegance and sculpted beauty of her design and is complemented perfectly by her two-tone leather interior.  The 456M is a major milestone for Ferrari and is featured on the list of the 20 most important Ferraris ever made.

This Ferrari was manufactured in December of 2000 and on February 1, 2001, was acquired at Continental Autosports in Hinsdale, Illinois by Ronald Materick of Oak Brook, IL. Mr. Materick enjoyed her until 2015 with an accumulation of 18,477 miles. She was then cared for by owners in Virginia, Ohio and California. The Ferrari has benefitted from regular routine service and comes with years of service receipts. Overall, she is in excellent condition and reflects its ultra-low mileage of 22,756 from new.

The Livery is in its original factory color, Grigio Ingrid. Our research revealed there were a total of only fifty-one 456M GTAs available in Grigio Ingrid. The paint has excellent shine and luster and is in beautiful condition today. There is a small scuff on the front bumper and a small paint blemish near the passenger-side rear window.

The beautiful two-tone Crema Connolly leather interior is in nearly showroom condition. The seats are soft and supple and show very well. The carpet and mats are also in excellent condition. The overall interior is in excellent condition and appears almost as new reflecting the care and love it has received.

This 2000 Ferrari 456M GTA comes standard with a 5.5 L V-12 engine producing 439 BHP. The 0-60 in 5.1 seconds power is transmitted through its four-speed automatic transmission (sourced through GM) which shifts very smoothly. The first major service and timing belt replacement was performed on February 23, 2007, by Ferrari of Orange County at 14,228 miles.  On October 23, 2019 with 20,273 miles accumulated, Abacus Racing performed the timing belt service, which included replacing belts, tensioners, camshaft seals and valve cover gaskets. The engine compartment is exceptionally clean and nicely detailed.

The 456M GTA is accompanied by all of the highly desirable factory items including its complete set of fitted leather luggage, a leather tool kit, a flat tire repair kit, a leather case containing a flashlight and various manuals, years of service and maintenance receipts and a scale model of the Ferrari in a collectable case.

The 456M (M standing for Modificata) was unveiled in 1998, starting with chassis number 109589. Many changes were made to improve aerodynamics and cooling and the interior – still featuring Connolly Leather – was refreshed with new seats and other conveniences (fewer gauges on the dash, and a new Becker stereo fitted in front of the shifter rather than behind as in the very shallow and special Sony head unit in the 456 GT). The 456 had a smaller grille with fog lights outside the grille. The undercarriage spoiler on the 456M is fixed, where the older 456 had a motorised spoiler that began its deployment above 105 km/h (65 mph). The bonnet was the first commercial application of carbon fibre, the previous being made of a composite material. Power output remained unchanged on the Modificata using Bosch Motronic M5.2 engine management at 442 PS (325 kW; 436 hp); the cylinder firing order was changed for smoother running and the torque remained the same for later versions of the 456 GT.
