THE ESSENTIALS
1992 Jaguar XJS Cabriolet- Two Owner, 45k mi.
This is a motorcar that was taken in as a partial trade for a 1941 Packard Club Coupe. It was bought new by a college professor from Wichita, Kansas who put 31,000 miles on it before she traded it in on lease in 1997. The evening she returned the car it was seen by a significant collector of Jaguars, Rolls and Bentley in a suburb of Wichita. He was there buying a new XK8 Jaguar that he campaigned as a show car throughout the US. His wife saw the 1992 XJS Cabriolet and loved it. So he bought it for her.
The collectors wife was a hospital administrator and had a “company car”. This allowed her to use the Jaguar as a special occasion motorcar. Over the course of the next 12 years they added 12,000 miles. Since then we have driven it on a daily basis and the total mileage now exceeds a mere 45,000 miles.
Since we have had the motorcar we have fully service it, including a fresh oil change, full and complete tune-up, new front brakes and rotors, rebuilt emergency brake, new radial tires and several odds and ends. The car is in overall good condition and is a very comfortable and pleasurable car to drive. It has proven to be very dependable to be used daily and without fault.
The car has the smooth and powerful V-12 and automatic transmission. It features an elegant and stunning maroon metallic paint with black leather interior accented with grey carpet and headliner. The power top is new and is black. It has the original AM/FM Cassette stereo with four speakers and a new fully powered antenna. The car has all the luxury items including power and heated seats, power windows and power door locks. It also has power steering and power anti-lock brakes.
