Harry's Thoughts

This is a very nice example that is sure to help make its new caretaker many happy memories!

THE ESSENTIALS

SOLD to California!! This is a one family owned since new 1972 Chevy Corvette with T-Tops and correct 350 cu in 200 hp engine with the original Rochester carburetor and automatic transmission. We love the color and look of this Corvette. It was bought new by the family of Kathryn Mills in eastern Wisconsin and for the next 40 years the family enjoyed the car. They had accumulated a mere 72,000 miles.

It comes equipped with most of the luxury options, such as power steering and brakes, tilt wheel, air conditioning and a modern retro stereo installed. The air conditioning works beautifully and blows ice cold!

This car features a beautiful repaint in the original color of Bryar Blue metallic (Code 945). Very few Corvettes have such nice paint. It is likely and a retains its original gorgeous black vinyl interior (Trim Code 400). The interior is in spectacular original condition, which speaks to the care that the car received throughout its life.

Details on the engine number: V0622CKX

We completed a tune up, full service and new brakes to make it ready to enjoy and drive!! For more details, text or call Harry Clark at +1.602.245.7200 or email us at harry@classicpromenade.com.

Interesting Fact: The Chevy Corvette has been in production for over 60 years and eight design generations have been created. Executives decided on the name “Corvette” by comparing it to the small maneuverable warship. This vehicle is also widely known as “America’s Sports Car” and is one of the most popular vehicles in history. This vehicle has always been offered in either a 2-door coupé or convertible. Over the years, different engines have been used ranging from 5.7-liter LT1 V8’s to 6.2-litre LT5 supercharged V8’s. Today, the standard Chevy Corvette uses a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 that gives the car 495 horsepower and a 0 to 60 acceleration of just 2.8 seconds. Notable variants of the base Chevy Corvette have been produced over the years, such as the Stingray and Z06. In the early 1970s, GM president Ed Cole was convinced to provide three NASA astronauts with new Corvettes, and this led to a long-standing unofficial tie between the companies. The Chevy Corvette is still one of the highest-performing vehicles in production and is a dream car for many!
