With no expense spared on restoration, this 1969 MG MGC roadster has a story worth telling. Finished in Mineral Blue over Parchment, the journey this roadster took was an interesting one. The car was in storage for 25 years before noted MGC expert Anthony Giordano connected the seller with a buyer. The MG was a worthy restoration candidate and its present owner completed it in 2016. The total investment in restoration of this roadster is in excess of $215,000.

The restoration was lead by Doctor Jag Technologies in Albuquerque, New Mexico with a painstaking 1,650 hours of labor. The restoration is fully documented with extensive accounting detail. This specific MG is part of a collection that includes over 30 classic and vintage British sports cars.

This livery of this MGC in a stunning Mineral Blue.  The paint quality is absolutely gorgeous.  The black vinyl convertible top is as new with perfectly clear plastic windows and a nice diamond print integrated headliner. With a sporty set of period correct Minilite style bolt on wheels and an abundance of top notch brightwork, this car will fit right in on the road and at most car shows.  Minilites are the preferred wheels for the heavier and more powerful MGCs.  

The soft and supple parchment leather interior is luxurious with matching parchment wool carpet.  As with all aspects of this MGC, the interior appears as new and the fine materials used during restoration give a more elegant appearance. The seats are without flaw and as comfortable as you would expect from this period. The molded black dash houses all the knobs and pulls that these cars are known for, and all work as expected. We love the addition of the wood rimed steering wheel. An aftermarket radio was installed below the dash along with a switch for the auxiliary driving lights mounted on the front bumper.

The engine compartment is likely better than ever produced by MG.  The inline 2.9 liter six-cylinder engine provides excellent power. The four-speed gearbox with overdrive combined with the added power of the six-cylinder engine make this car feel considerably faster than previous generation MGs.
