This is a driver quality refurbished California rust-free Mustang.  This Mustang was built in California and remained there for most all of its life.  The car will come complete with the original California “Black Plate” license plates from 1967 (the car is presently registered in Texas).

The present owner bought it from his brother in San Jose, CA in 2007 and commenced a driver quality cosmetic refurbishment that included a new metallic blue respray, a new vinyl top and several pieces of new chrome and trim.  The paint looks very nice and does have several small scratches from occasional use over the past seven years.  On the interior, it has installed all new vinyl interior, carpet and headliner.  Overall the quality is consistent with the car being a driver quality car.  This means that many items were not done in the same material or colors as the factory correct, but are still nice and serviceable for years to come.  (We have many pre-restoration photos that also include the CA black plate)

The venerable 289 cu. in. V8 is strong and was enhanced with a mild cam.  The performance is enhanced further by headers, a free-flow exhaust (it sounds great!) and a four-barrel carburetor.   It has performance upgrades to the ignition system, air cleaner and an electric cooling fan.  The 289 cu in V8 engine, automatic transmission, differential has been thoroughly rebuilt by Six Pack Performance, Inc.  The Mustang has power drum brakes and manual steering.  Everything works well except the dome light.  The Mustang also has an AM/FM cassette with an iPod cord for your favorite playlists!

The Mustang has GT wheels that have a coordinated paint scheme to match the car as well as GT-type fog lamps.  It has a terrific look!
