Harry's Thoughts

This is a very nice example that is sure to help make its new caretaker many happy memories!

THE ESSENTIALS

This is one of the nicest vintage Corvette we’ve had.  A fantastic Roman Red with red interior matching numbers factory dual-quad four-speed Corvette.  What could be better?  The last owner bought this Vette in Arizona on February 2, 2005 and paid $56,382.  He then immediately set out on a very nice mechanical and cosmetic restoration spending tens of thousands of dollars.  All the work was fully documented and the extensive file is included in the sale.

That was about eight years ago. No expense was spared and the car has been kept in fantastic condition.  Three years ago the present owner bought it and preserved it incredibly well.  He hasn’t closed the hood because of any potential stress on the hood and paint!!

All gauges work well, the car drives and performs well.  We love the crackel of the exhaust from the dual carbs.  This is an amazingly gorgeous Vette!  We have photographed the VIN and engine number, so please review those.

This is a no excuses investment grade Corvette that is being offered at a very fair price.  For more information please call Harry at 602.245.7200 or email me at harry@classicpromenade.com.

Interesting Fact: The Chevy Corvette has been in production for over 60 years and eight design generations have been created. Executives decided on the name “Corvette” by comparing it to the small maneuverable warship. This vehicle is also widely known as “America’s Sports Car” and is one of the most popular vehicles in history. This vehicle has always been offered in either a 2-door coupé or convertible. Over the years, different engines have been used ranging from 5.7-liter LT1 V8’s to 6.2-litre LT5 supercharged V8’s. Today, the standard Chevy Corvette uses a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 that gives the car 495 horsepower and a 0 to 60 acceleration of just 2.8 seconds. Notable variants of the base Chevy Corvette have been produced over the years, such as the Stingray and Z06. In the early 1970s, GM president Ed Cole was convinced to provide three NASA astronauts with new Corvettes, and this led to a long-standing unofficial tie between the companies. The Chevy Corvette is still one of the highest-performing vehicles in production and is a dream car for many!
