$34,800

Harry's Thoughts

This is a very nice example that is sure to help make its new caretaker many happy memories!

THE ESSENTIALS

This is a gorgeous and rare Bubbletop that has been fully restored.  Now, while it is not restored to concours winning standards this is a gorgeous car that could participate in car shows and some concours events.  This was owned by the original Nevada owner who bought it new and was restored by its second owner in Southern California.  This has a completely rebuilt 348 cu in V8 and a M21 close ratio four speed manual transmission.   This car has also benefited from the installation of a CPP front end with power disc brakes.

There are small restoration details that are incomplete and the restoration quality is not spectacular but generally very good.  More details are forthcoming as we fully inspect this fine and rare motorcar.   This is a rust free car that is an investment grade investment.  These Chevy’s are quickly appreciating in value and are loved at car shows and on the road.  We do not know all the history of this car and therefore do not know for sure the total mileage, but the drivetrain is fully rebuilt.

The NADA value guide shows the high retail value at $38,500.  We are offering this motorcar at a huge savings.  See details online at: http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars/1961/Chevrolet/Impala/2-Door-Hardtop-Sport-Coupe/Values

Interesting Fact: The Chevy Impala is one of the company’s longest lasting vehicles, having been in production since 1957 and continuing to today. This full-size car is known to be Chevrolet’s flagship passenger car and is one of the best-selling automobiles in the entire United States.   Back in 1957, the Chevy Impala was released as a top of the line Chevy Bel Air that had a longer wheelbase and unique tailfins. In this first year, the long-standing popularity of the Impala became clear as 55,989 convertibles and 125,480 coupes were built. This model was instrumental in helping Chevrolet get back to a high-up spot on the automakers list following a recession.   As the Chevy Impala developed over the years, emphasis was placed on comfort for the driver and passenger, rather than focusing on developing a higher-performance engine to be used in the car. The original Chevy Impala is a classic, partially because it looks nothing like its modern rendition!
