Harry's Thoughts
THE ESSENTIALS
SOLD to Oregon!! This is a very sharp looking 1957 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe that is a sympathetic restoration of a very nice and solid rust-free original car. This is ready for use on tours or is well enough restored to be exhibited in regional concours events. We completed our thorough inspection and this is a Cadillac that has never seen rust or accidents.
The stunning Dakota Red livery is beautiful with its ample chrome and gold accents. The paint quality is very nice having been wet sanded and polished well. The upgraded Eldorado style wheel covers look wonderful with the BF Goodrich wide white wall radial tires. The styling of the 1957 Cadillac is perfect. We love the fins and the ample accents the designers added to make it modern without being over-done. The chrome and trim all look well done with only a nominal amount of wear apparent.
Overall, this looks like a six or seven year old restoration although we have no documentation supporting the details. We have used our bondo detector and this Cadillac is rock solid with no filler or sign of issues.
The interior has been completely restored with high quality materials. There is a slight amount of wear showing on the drivers seat, otherwise it is as-new.
Mechanically, this Cadillac is very solid. Being free of rust it is incredibly solid and appears to be a low mileage example. There are no signs of repair or accidents and our comprehensive inspection proved this to be an excellent example overall.
The engine compartment is well detailed to be appropriate for almost any show-field. This coupe features power steering, power brakes, heater and AM radio.
The NADA Guide has the High Retail value at $41,000, making this a good value. We’ve seen nothing on the market as nice as this.
