This 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Woody Wagon has a 239ci flathead V8 paired with a three-speed manual transmission and presents in maroon with the signature two-toned wood panels. As one of the last Ford station wagons built with genuine maple and mahogany bodywork, it represents the end of an era when automotive bodies were still shaped as much by skilled woodworkers as by metal craftsmen. The year 1948 was the last year of classic prewar styling, and 8,912 vehicles were produced for the model year. This Woody underwent a comprehensive 3.5 year restoration that included removing the original wood framework, sanding, bleaching, toning, and varnishing. Additional mechanical restoration work included replacing wiring, rebuilding the braking system, installing new shocks and exhaust system, replacing the fuel tank, and installing an electric fuel pump. The current owner acquired this Woody in January of 2018 and it has been a favorite collection piece to enjoy on cruises around town and as a holiday centerpiece. This Woody Wagon is a great fit for a collection or to show at local and regional shows! 

The exterior of the Woody Wagon presents in overall great condition, finished in maroon over two-tone wood paneling. The paint is in overall great condition with some areas showing normal use and wear. The wood paneling is in overall good condition, with one panel showing flaking and discoloration. The chrome is in excellent condition from the chrome bumpers to the grille and accents throughout. The Woody has dual side mirrors, windshield wipers, headlights, fog lights, and taillights all in working order. It features a spare tire with a painted metal cover on the back, wing windows, and a black canvas top in excellent condition. The Woody has 16in steel wheels fitted with whitewall radial tires. This Woody Wagon is in a beautiful color combination and presents in overall great condition. 

The interior of the Woody Wagon is in excellent condition, presenting with brown vinyl upholstery, a painted dash, and gorgeous wood paneling throughout. The brown vinyl upholstery is in excellent condition, and the wood paneling for the headliner, door panels, and dash accents is in excellent condition. The steering wheel is in good condition with some minor cracking. The dash includes fuel level, oil pressure, battery charge, and engine temperature with auxiliary gauges for charge, oil pressure and temperature. The Woody has defroster, heater, factory AM radio, and clock. The rubber floor mats are in overall great condition. This Woody has a lovely interior that showcases its excellent overall condition. 

The Woody Wagon is powered by the 239ci flathead V8 equipped with a single two-barrel Holley downdraft carburetor and paired with a 3-speed manual transmission. It is equipped with manual drum brakes all around. The electrical system has been converted to 12 volts and includes a battery cutoff switch. Restoration work included replacement wiring, a rebuilt braking system, new shocks, a new exhaust system, a replaced fuel tank, and an electric fuel pump. Recent servicing included the fuel system and front suspension. Note that the odometer is not currently functioning.
