This article in the Wall Street Journal today discusses that the data from studies of accident rates since banning cell phone use is conflicting. There has been no decrease in accidents in most states that have enacted bans. The bottom line is that texting is a real problem and that any form of talking with someone not in the car with you creates a saftety issue; hands-free isn’t a solution.
