1993 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe

One Owner First 26 Years, 21k Miles, Near Showroom New

$21,800

Harry's Thoughts

The "C4" Corvette is regarded as the generation where "America's Sports Car" became "America's Supercar". Fine examples like this one are becoming increasingly rare.

THE ESSENTIALS

This is a near showroom condition 1993 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe that has just over 21,600 miles since new. With 40th Anniversary specific accoutrements, this fourth generation Corvette stands out and offers a great example for its next owner. This coupe was bought new just after Christmas Day 1993 in Eastern Ohio where it was driven sparingly and garaged consistently by the original owner for more than 26 years.

The factory Polo Green II Metallic paint (Color Code 45) is in excellent condition with no scratches, dents, or faults. The front end does show a few very minor rock chip areas from highway driving. The green metallic hue is dark, but catches the light well and has brilliant luster. The bronze tinted glass removable targa top is in fantastic condition and has an aftermarket blackout vinyl applied to the inside to keep the interior cooler in the heat. All glass including the rear hatch is clean and clear and appears new. The “sawblade” style machined finish wheels are flawless.

The Light Beige Leather interior (Option Code 643) is a very handsome complement to the Polo Green II Metallic paint. The power seats look and feel new with high side bolsters to secure the driver and passenger comfortably over long distances. This makes the Corvette a great touring car with a sporty feel. Keen observers will also note the appearance of the 40th Anniversary logo stitched into the headrests. The carpets and the carpeted rear hatch area are pristine. The digital and analog instrumentation all appear clear and all buttons are clean and fully functional. The overall condition of the interior is considered showroom new.

The 350 CI LT1 is a fantastic engine, known for power, reliability, and offered great gas mileage at the time. With only 21,600 miles on this coupe, the engine still feels fresh and should offer the next owner a spirited driving experience. This Corvette is equipped with the 4L60 four speed automatic transmission and shifts as it should. This pairing will allow for great drivability in most conditions and still feels quick even by todays standards.

This Corvette comes with the original leather wrapped 40th Anniversary owner’s book with Corvette branded pen and flashlight and houses one of the two owner’s manuals that will accompany the car. The original sales brochure and window sticker are also included.

Interesting Fact: The Chevy Corvette has been in production for over 60 years and eight design generations have been created. Executives decided on the name “Corvette” by comparing it to the small maneuverable warship. This vehicle is also widely known as “America’s Sports Car” and is one of the most popular vehicles in history. This vehicle has always been offered in either a 2-door coupé or convertible. Over the years, different engines have been used ranging from 5.7-liter LT1 V8’s to 6.2-litre LT5 supercharged V8’s. Today, the standard Chevy Corvette uses a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 that gives the car 495 horsepower and a 0 to 60 acceleration of just 2.8 seconds. Notable variants of the base Chevy Corvette have been produced over the years, such as the Stingray and Z06. In the early 1970s, GM president Ed Cole was convinced to provide three NASA astronauts with new Corvettes, and this led to a long-standing unofficial tie between the companies. The Chevy Corvette is still one of the highest-performing vehicles in production and is a dream car for many!
