Harry's Thoughts
THE ESSENTIALS
This is a nicely restored Custom two-door Post. It looks terrific in solid turquoise and Chevy’s unique Black and Grey Cobblestone interior. The 350 V-8 and automatic transmission make it a delight to drive and enjoy!
This California car was restored during 1996 and 1997 in Hesperia, CA by an old student of the present owner. The student sold the car in about 1998 to Joe Bond who was a Sheriff living in Long Beach, CA. The Sheriff took it to car shows and added some custom lighting to show off the restored and detailed engine compartment.
In 1999 Larry, the present owner of the Chevy, bought it and has since continued to make improvements. In the 16 years of his ownership he has travelled about 9,000 miles. Total miles since the Chevy was built are approximately 12,000 miles.
The engine is a 350 cu in V-8 from a Camaro and is mated to a 350 transmission. It has a large capacity Griffin radiator and an aluminum water pump and shroud. The Chevy has Vintage air conditioning that blows nice and cold! It has a radio with cassette for all you old timers…
The front end has a two inch drop spindle with front and rear sway bars and American Racing wheels and new radials. Larry added a special Quadrajet Eddlebrock carburetor and it has a Flow Master exhaust. He also added an Ididit steering column along with a Glide front seat finished with the correct style cobblestone interior fabric.
The Chevy comes with two car covers: a California Car Cover for daily use and a less expensive cover for use at car shows. It also comes with a bug bra and cover.
This is a terrific car to show and tour. It could also be a very cool daily driver!
