The car is finished in silver with bright accents along the front grille, window trim, bumpers, and mirror caps. A Spirit of Ecstasy ornament is fitted on the hood.  The 16″ light alloy wheels wear chrome hubcaps and are mounted with 235/55 Michelin Defender tires that were fitted in March 2025, and braking is handled by anti-lock discs at each corner. The car came equipped from the factory with a self-leveling suspension. The power steering pump and brake calipers were rebuilt, the front brake pads were replaced, and the brake fluid and steering fluid were changed in March 2025.

The seats are trimmed in Sandstone Marvelon, and burl walnut wood trim adorns the dashboard, center console, and door panel accents. Interior appointments include power-adjustable front seats, seat position memory settings, power-adjustable rear seats, rear tray tables, rear footrests, automatic climate control, and power windows and locks. The seat control modules were replaced in 2024.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, voltage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 40k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.  The car is powered by a 6.75-liter V8 that utilizes K-Motronic digital fuel injection. The right rear engine mount was replaced in January 2025.  Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4L80 four-speed automatic transmission. The differential was serviced in April 2025.  The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.

There were 671 LHD Silver Spurs produced worldwide in 1985.  This Silver Spur was ordered by Roy Carver Inc. of San Diego on the 31st of July 1984.  By the 23rd of November 1984, the Spur was shipped to Lyndhurst via the Sealand Voyager arriving on the 5th of December.  The Spur was sold by Terry York Motor Cars in Encino, CA on December 28th, 1984, to the Berman Car Company of Chatsworth, CA for transport of VIP guests of Hollywood studios and entertainments companies.  The Spur was faithfully serviced by marque specialist Rick’s Automotive in Granada Hills, CA.  By 1990, the Rolls had accumulated 5,100 miles.  This Rolls was acquired by its present owner, Mr. Solakian from Northern California, in October 2017 with just over 8,200 miles accumulated since new.  He then sent it to the local Rolls-Royce engineer who started his career in Crewe at the factory.  The Rolls now has just over 13,000 miles and is in near showroom condition in every way.

The original black livery (Paint Code 9500701) is spectacular, truly appearing as new with minimal evidence of being nearly 40 years old.  The paint has perfect shine and luster and is complemented with double Silver coach stripes.  The Black Everflex top (Code 5218/DH) is also in excellent condition without the normal sub-surface rust.  It also looks in showroom condition.  The chrome and stainless are also in fantastic condition with no issues.  The white walled radials were installed by the present owner in 2017 and are in excellent condition.

The Black leather interior is in excellent condition with only very minimal creasing and without tears.  The leather is also fairly soft and truly exceptional for original 40-year-old leather.  The Black Wilton wool carpeting is bound with black leather and has its black mouton sheepskin overlays.  The gorgeous burl walnut wood has been refinished and looks perfect.  The steering wheel has been upgraded to a wood and alloy Nardi wheel in perfect condition and the original wheel is included in the sale.  The picnic tables have also been beautifully refinished, and the often-missing footrests are present for the rear seat passengers.  The two rear mirrored vanities were not refinished and have the normal cracking present.  Other than the wood, all of the interior is original and exceptional.

The engine compartment is in concours condition and looks as new.  The venerable 6.75-liter V8 performs beautifully and has benefited from the low mileage and consistent servicing.  The service records are available for review.  The Rolls is complete with its tools, jack, spare and all the owner’s manual supplemental information.

We have this Silver Spur priced well.  The JD Power high retail value is $50,200.  Certainly, this represents one of the nicest in the world.

This Rolls-Royce Silver Spur was produced in April 1989 in Crewe, England and on May 11, 1989 was acquired new and enjoyed for 25 years by the original owner through Terry York Motor Cars, LTD in Encino, CA.  By 2014, Mr. Ed Morris from Arizona and Connecticut acquired the Rolls from has regularly maintained, serviced, and enjoyed this Spur while driving it only a mere 6,000 miles since 2014.

The beautiful livery of this Silver Spur is Acrylic White (Paint Code 9510235) with tasteful and correct brown pinstriping along with matching pinstriping on the chrome and Acrylic White wheel covers which are in nice condition. The livery has a nice luster and shine and shows well overall apart from a few imperfections that are noticeable upon closer inspection. There are a few areas that show signs of being repainted during the original owner’s ownership.  The original White Everflex top (code 5598 DH) is in nice condition and shows well. The chrome also shows well overall with a few imperfections in high use areas. The Avon white wall tires add a nice touch to the overall exterior and help this Silver Spur to perform well on the road.

The interior of this Silver Spur is in nice overall condition in Tan Hide (Code A4178) with White Hide Piping (Code A4169). The white piping closely matches the Acrylic White exterior and is a beautiful combination with the Tan Hide upholstery. The dash is in very nice condition in Tan Hide, and the burl walnut wood trim shows beautifully on the dash, door caps and throughout the interior. The tan headliner is in beautiful condition as is the brown wool carpet bound in white leather. This Silver Spur is well optioned including power adjust front seats with memory, automatic climate control, beautiful rear tray tables and driver-side muton floor cover. The gauges and clock all function well. This Silver Spur comes complete with a Pioneer Audio System with Blue Tooth. The interior is in gorgeous condition and shows very well throughout.

The engine compartment has been nicely detailed and is home to the Bosch Injected 6.8-liter L410 V-8 engine, which is mated to the 3-speed General Motors Turbo Hydramatic Automatic Transmission. The engine and transmission both operate very well and quietly. This Rolls-Royce comes complete with hydropneumatic self-leveling suspension and 4-wheel power disc brakes with ABS. This Silver Spur has 46,000 miles from new and has been recently serviced. It needs nothing to be enjoyed, toured, and shown.

This Silver Spur comes complete with the tool kit, Rolls-Royce Owner’s Handbook, The Vehicle Identification Book, the Sales & Service booklet and the Pioneer Bluetooth Audio System Book. The service records from the fist owner were not passed on to the present owner, but we were told that it had always been well serviced.

We love the elegant and classic Magnolia livery complimented by the subtle tan coach stripes. The paint is original and in overall very nice condition. The front and rear bumpers show some abrasions from normal use. These can easily be touched up, if so desired. The alloy Rolls-Royce wheels and chrome hub caps look timeless and classic. The radials are near new and being black walls add a sporting look to its profile.

The interior is in excellent overall condition. The seats, door panels and headliner are all fitted in two tone Sand and Parchment leather. It looks stunning next to the gorgeous wood dashboard, door caps and trim that is burl walnut complimented with other veneers. The wood is all original and in overall excellent condition. There are only a few minor cracks in the veneer which are only noticeable upon close inspection. The light tan carpet is covered throughout with champagne colored sheepskin mouton overlays for the ultimate in luxury.  Overall, the interior is in very good to excellent condition.

The last of the series Spurs benefited from the installation of a light boosted turbocharger producing 300 hp and 442 ft lbs of torque from the venerable 6.8 liter engine. This provides a perfect balance of luxurious performance and dependability.

Mechanically, this Silver Spur has benefited from consistent and extensive servicing throughout her life. The present owner has made sure all systems operate as they should. The car performs beautifully and drives as it should. You can have the confidence that this Rolls will provide reliable and comfortable service in the future. As a note, there are no drips or leaks anywhere on this car.

The Rolls is complete with its toolkit, books, manuals, the phone for the rear seat passengers and the remote for the AM/FM CD changer. She also is accompanied with a binder containing extensive service and maintenance records.

This is an opportunity to enjoy a hand-built motorcar that, when new, was close to $200,000 (three times the cost of an S-Class Mercedes).

This Spur was ordered new by Nesen Motor Car Co. in Thousand Oaks, CA.  She was sent from the factory to the dealership on the “Mette Maersk” on the 24^th of September 1993 arriving at the Los Angeles port on the 20^th of October.  Charles Probst of Westlake Village, CA acquired her on June 2, 1994.  The Spur remained in California for nearly all its life except for five years in Utah, during which it travelled 500 miles.

Her most recent owner is a very well-known collector of Rolls-Royce and Bentley motorcars, having been an active RROC member for 55 years.  He always loved the Silver Spur III’s and acquired this one to ensure that it as-new.  He invested $15,000 in its recommissioning to ensure that this was in excellent condition.  In June of 2022, she was entered the Spur into the Concours class at the RROC Annual Meeting in San Diego and where she earned its National First.

The livery is in its original Arctic White with twin tan coach stripes and complimented with an abundance of chrome and stainless-steel accents.  The Silver Spur III wheel covers are a mixture of painted and chrome and look terrific.  Newer white wall radials also look elegant and natural.  A feature we have not seen previously are the side marker lights on the rear fenders.  Overall, the exterior of this Rolls is nearly perfect.  There is one very small ding visible near the driver’s door handle.  The rear bumper has some normal light scratching from use.

The interior also looks nearly new in parchment leather with soft tan accents.  The condition of the leather belies its age.  The leather shows almost no wear, with only very nominal creasing on the driver’s seat.  The wood is special with burl walnut with oxwood inlay.  This treatment is very traditional and rarely seen in the later Spurs.  It provides an elegant look that is fantastic.  The headliner is also Parchment leather and is in excellent condition.  The rear passenger compartment features the picnic tables as well as power reclining rear seats.  We would recommend ordering a new set of sheepskin mouton overlays to place over the carpeting.  Still installed in this Spur (and rarely seen these days) are the front and rear analog cellular phones hidden away in the armrests, both for the front passenger as well as the rear!  In addition, the original cellular phone antenna remains in the rear window.

The engine compartment is in showroom condition and its 6.75-liter V8 and all of its systems have been serviced and function well.  The Silver Spur III as of 1994 had greater performance and is said to travel up to 134 mph.  This Spurs history file is quite extensive with service and repair receipts going back to 1997.  In addition to this extensive file, this Spur comes complete with a Silver Spur sales brochure and a very rare hard-covered Rolls-Royce dealer brochure covering the introduction of the new 1994 line of Rolls-Royce and the Silver Spur III in particular!

Since only 32 LHD examples were made in 1994 there is very little data supporting the value of this Rolls.  The NADA Value shows $65,300 for a Silver Spur III while Hagerty does not list a value.

This Spur was ordered new by Bentley Sewickley in Pennsylvania.  The first owners had all service and repair performed by Carriage House Motor Cars in Greenwich, CT through July of 2015, at which time it had accumulated 46,000 miles.  The present owner has maintained and serviced the Spur well.  This last series of Silver Spurs were slightly more modern looking with a two inch lower radiator shell and the flying lady reduced in size by 2 inches.

The livery is stunning in Mulsanne (Racing Green) with the original Rolls-Royce alloy wheels that have red accent trim added.  The paint is in very nice condition and is without dents or blemishes.  Any touch up necessary to keep this Rolls looking great has been performed by its owners over the years.  The stainless and chrome are also in excellent condition.  The present owner has added UK flags in the C pilar which look sharp.

The interior is beautiful in its original Autumn leather with Spruce piping and accents.  This was a special order combination with Cotswold carpet and sheepskin mouton carpet overlays.  The leather presents itself well with some use showing on the drivers seat bolster and seat bottom.  The steering wheel also shows wear from use over the years.  These are noticeable upon close inspection.  The burl wood accents have boxwood trim and is overall in good condition with many cracks present as shown in the photo gallery.  Of course, the picnic trays and vanities are provided for the rear seat passengers.  The stereo system has been updated with a more modern Alpine unit.  In addition to the mouton overlays, this Rolls has a very nice set of Coco mats for everyday use.

The engine compartment looks terrific and houses the venerable Rolls-Royce 6.75 liter V8 that features the light pressure turbocharger to produce 300 hp.  As mentioned, this example has been well serviced and has been consistently used.  $25,000 worth of service history documentation is included with the sale.  The hood insulation pad has been removed by its owner.

This Spur comes complete with its tools, spare, owner’s manuals, two sets of keys and service receipts and historical documents.  The CARfax report is clean and verifies the history of this Rolls.

The NADA Value is $77,700, making this a very good value.

This is a well documented 1985 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur Limousine by Jankel that has covered a mere 63,000 miles since new. This Spur is classically elegant in its Masons Black (Paint Code 9500701) livery complimented with its matching Black Everflex roof (Trim Code DH5218). This Spur started life as a standard saloon on January 28, 1985. Five weeks later, it was shipped to Robert Jankel’s (official builder of 80’s era Rolls-Royce Limos) facility’s where it was lengthened by 42 inches and upgraded with a number of luxurious amenities.

By March 28, 1986, the limo conversion was completed and this Spur set sail for America. The long fabrication time on this car is a testament to the painstaking detail required for this largely hand-built car; only 9 examples were produced for the entire 1985 model year, and only 63 Silver Spur 42-inch limos were ever built in total!

This Spur was originally delivered to H&H Continental Motors in Hinsdale, IL, an authorized Rolls-Royce dealer in the Midwest. The first owner was a gentleman named R. Wayt who owned Chalet-Sports Core. There is substantial service and warranty documentation on this car, with all work having been conducted at Continental Motors.

According to Rolls-Royce Owner’s Club (RROC) records, a Mr. John Bertone, Jr. of Flushing, NY enjoyed this Rolls through the mid-1990’s. There is also documentation that a Mr. Archer Daniels of Midland CO. in Decatur, IL owned the Rolls from the early 2000’s until 2007.  At this point, the limo was acquired by Imports ltd of St. Louis. On June 14, 2007, the present owner purchased the Rolls and has owned and maintained it ever since, adding it to his private collection in Columbus, OH.

The all-original Masons Black paint looks looks good for the age, and has a deep shine with a simple two line accent pin stripe in Double Mushroom. The chrome has a nice shine with no oxidation. The windows are tinted as expected and the body lines look straight. The body was tested using a paint gauge and all readings were normal with no areas of body filler noted. Upon closer examination, the inspection revealed a few issues. The sunroof has been sealed all around the opening from the outside and it will not open. The Everflex (vinyl roof material) has bumps under the surface in several areas indicative of rust forming under the vinyl.

The interior is very nice overall. The Mushroom leather (VM 4136) with Black (PAC-3726) piping are without deep creases and are fairly supple. The Oatmeal headliner and Grey & Bound Black carpeting are all in overall very good condition for the age, with a normal level of wear. The woodwork, dashboard, and interior body panels are all said to be in good condition. Overall, the interior is clean and well-kept. The original Rolls-Royce thermos, crystal decanter set, and toolkit are all present and in good condition.

The mechanical inspection did not note any issues or areas of concern. Likewise, the current owner of this Spur reports the car to be problem free. All recent maintenance and servicing since the current owner’s time with the car have been conduced by Coach Built Motors, which is where the car is also being stored (in the photos). The owner mentioned that this Rolls does have a recently rebuilt GM heavy duty alternator. It was noted that the odometer and trip-odometer were not working at the time of inspection. Finally, a 1 mile test-drive of the car was conducted without issue.

It’s unusual and very special to see these Silver Spur limousines. As the current owner rightfully pointed out, many stretched wheelbase cars either become highly problematic or appear very dated after a short while. This Rolls is the exception to that rule. With so few ever made, and with this one in such good overall shape, this truly is a timeless buy for the unconventional collector.

This is very well maintained and needs nothing to be enjoyed. The suspension spheres have been recently replaced and the motorcar rests on new Michelin whitewall radials. The car has a perfectly clean CARFAX documenting the California history, as well as showing it as accident free and well maintained. There are 14 records on the report.

This Spur was sold new on October 30, 1991 in Houston, Texas by British Royal Motor Cars, Ltd. to Hughes Technologies to transport its VIP clients and for special occasions. This Spur was chauffeur driven and stayed with its first owner for ten years. They had accumulated 10,000 miles. By 2010, it had accumulated 13,651 miles and was sold to its last owner of eight years. It had been exhibited in their personal auto museum and was used for special occasions.

We have a fair amount of service details with the motorcar. On January 2, 1997 it had accumulated 5,629 miles. Of course, the Spur comes with a perfectly clean CARFAX with no issues, further validating the condition of the car and the mileage. .

Finished in one of the classic Rolls-Royce colors of Magnolia (Code 9510418) and a cream Everflex top (5568 DH) with subtly contrasting barley coach stripes. The livery was repainted in its original color at one point and remains in beautiful condition. There is some cracking in a few areas that is only seen upon very close examination. There are no dents, scrapes, etc. It is just gorgeous.

The interior is all original and in nearly perfect showroom condition. It is in parchment leather (A3672) with tan piping (A4178). The leather is soft and nearly perfect throughout. The rear seats are electric reclining seats and include the wonderful footrests, vanities and picnic tables for the benefit of the occupants. The Spur comes complete with the original set of mouton sheepskin overlays for the front and rear passengers (not shown in the photo gallery). All the interior wood appears to be flawless with no cracking or discoloration.

The only updating is the sound system, which has been updated with a high quality Pioneer folding unit. The original mobile phone is securely nestled in the armrest. Everything worked well for our checklist test, with the exception of the passenger seat is not moving back (likely a motor issue).

The engine compartment is truly amazing and would easily perform well at Preservation Class showing at concours events. The last major service and repair documented is from May 2015, and the mileage was 16,435 at that time.
