The 1950 Pontiac Chieftain Deluxe Convertible Coupe is a rare original example that is in overall good condition (great for its age!) and ready to drive! The Chieftain is powered by its original 268ci straight-eight engine paired with a 3-speed manual transmission with power convertible top. Originally finished in Skylark Blue and refinished black early in the 50s with a red leather interior, this Chieftain is a very well-preserved example, well optioned and has documented history through its lifetime. It is rare to find an unrestored, highly original convertible Chieftain that is in this level of condition!

This Chieftain was purchased new by Carl Carlson of Worcester, Massachusetts from Stockhaus Motors in Worchester. The Chieftain was purchased in 1952 by Mr. Bill Leland, the great-great nephew of Cadillac and Lincoln founder Mr. Henry Leland when the Chieftain had approximately 17,000 miles showing. The Pontiac remained with the Leland family for roughly 68 years and spent time in long term storage from 1970 until 2010. In 1988, the engine was rebuilt, clutch replaced, pressure plate and throw-out bearings installed when the Chieftain was showing 76,000 miles. Mr. Leland sold the Chieftain to his friend, Mr. Joe Cutler, knowing that Mr. Cutler would preserve the originality and treasure the Chieftain in his collection. When Mr. Cutler purchased the Chieftain, the odometer was showing 76,020 miles. During Mr. Cutler’s stewardship, he recommissioned the Chieftain for driving by using included extra parts and servicing specifically to retain the originality while bringing the mechanics up to driving standard. Work included rebuilding the brake system, starter, carburetor, and the hydroelectric power top system. Historical notes share that the Chieftain won the “Survivor Award” for three consecutive years for the P.O.C.I National meet, won “Best of Show” at a large event in Warwick, RI and has won several first in class awards. The Chieftain was featured in a Hemmings Editorial in August 2014 (read it from our documents!). In 2020, the Chieftain was sold to the current owner with 80,000 miles showing and now showing 80,889 miles. This Chieftain is a rare find that has an impressive history with great preservation that any collector would love!

The exterior of the Chieftain is finished in black that was repainted early in its lifetime with plenty of chrome trim throughout! For paint that is likely over 70 years old, it is in great condition! The paint is in overall good condition with expected pitting, touched up rock chips and wear consistent for its age. This Pontiac wears the years well! The chrome and brightwork are in overall good condition with light surface scratches, pitting toward the front, and a more noticeable scuff on the front overriders. It’s impressive that the chrome has a bright polish and shine for being original! The Pontiac has the illuminated Chief hood ornament, dual guide spotlights, fog lamps, dual side mirrors, radio antenna, windshield wipers, deluxe bumper guards, chrome fuel door guard, chrome stone guards, fender skirts, full wheel covers and wide whitewall tires. The convertible top was redyed early in its life and remains in very good working condition and comes with boot cover. This Chieftain is remarkable for its age and use. The long-term care it has received makes this a Pontiac that is in overall good condition and ready to be enjoyed!

The interior of the Chieftain is the original red leather with tan accents on the door panels paired with a two-tone painted dash in black and tan. For the interior to be in all original condition, it’s impressive for it to have held up so well over the years and use! The original upholstery is in overall good condition with two visible tears or perforations on the front bench in the front seating while the rear seat remains in good condition. The door panels are in overall great condition, the rubber with carpet insets on the floor in front is in good condition and the original carpet in the back is in fair condition. The dash is in overall great condition, and the steering wheel has no visible cracking. The gauges are in working condition. Features include AM radio, clock, illuminated compass, and factory heater controls.

The Chieftain is powered by its original 268ci straight-eight engine producing 108 horsepower paired with a synchromesh 3-speed manual transmission. The Chieftain has a two-barrel downdraft carburetor, mechanical fuel pump, Delco-Remy generator, 6V battery that was replaced in 1/2026, and four-wheel drum brakes. Recent servicing in 2022 includes a new fuel sending unit, brake bearing replaced, cleaned the head and replaced spark plugs. This Chieftain starts well cold or warm and is lovely to drive!

Included in the sale is owner’s manual, shop manual, service records, literature, historical documentation, Hemmings magazine with editorial, and the original keys plus extra sets.

SOLD! This 1965 Pontiac GTO Convertible is a beautiful restored, WT engine, well-documented example that is in excellent mechanical condition with only 32,000 miles! The GTO is in excellent condition finished in Burgundy Red Poly over a Parchment interior with a white power-retractable top. The engine is the desirable original 389ci V-8 with Tri-Power paired to the four-speed manual synchromesh transmission. The GTO underwent a frame-off restoration to factory specifications and is in excellent overall condition. This GTO is ready to wow at any local car show and is a collector’s gem based on its low mileage, excellent overall condition and documentation!

The GTO was assembled at the Fremont, California plant in December 1965 and was originally sold in Placerville, California. This GTO was one of 11,311 GTO convertibles produced for the model year. This GTO was built with the 389ci “WT Code” V8, optioned with the four speed fully synchronized transmission, dual exhausts, deluxe wheel discs, special 7 blade fan and fan clutch, chrome air cleaner covers, chrome rocker arm covers, and the Safe-T-Track rear axle. Additional options include windshield washer & dual speed wipers, visor vanity, inside tilt mirror, outside remote control mirror, door edge guards, soft ray windshield, and back up lamps. A comprehensive frame-off restoration was completed in 2001 to original specifications, including a rebuilt engine and gearbox that had additional transmission and clutch refurbishment in 2006. The current owner purchased the GTO in 2007 adding about 7,000 miles and meticulously maintained the GTO. The Pontiac is accompanied by the original ownership manual, window sticker, history card, maintenance records, and a spare tire.

The Pontiac wears Burgundy Red Poly paint (code N) with good gloss and depth, presenting in great overall condition with only minimal areas of wear from normal use. Signature stacked headlights and the split recessed grille are in very good condition, reinforcing the model’s instantly recognizable front-end design. The white convertible top operates via power retraction and presents in great condition, complementing the single hood intake and wraparound taillights, which function as intended. The overall exterior presentation reflects careful stewardship and restoration quality that enhances long-term value.

The Pontiac features Parchment front bucket seats and a rear bench in excellent condition, paired with black carpet and black rubber floor mats that are in excellent condition. The wood veneer dash and a period-correct Pontiac AM radio. The Pontiac is equipped with a power-adjustable driver’s seat, deluxe steering wheel, center console, dual horns, and fully functioning fan, heater, and courtesy lighting. The cohesive interior presentation supports the Pontiac’s dual appeal for show presentation and enjoyable open-air touring.

The Pontiac is powered by a WT-code 389 c.i. in V-8 engine with the coveted Tri-Power induction, rated at approximately 335 horsepower. The engine serial number is 633211 with WT stamped on the front of the block and the casting number shows correctly as 9778789. Power is delivered through a four-speed manual synchromesh transmission with Hurst shifter. This GTO has a Flowmaster dual exhaust and an Edelbrock manifold with chrome valve covers and air cleaners. The GTO has its original 3:23 Safe-T-Track limited-slip differential, and the GTO has Delco Moraine self-adjusting drum brakes for all four wheels. The tires are Hercules MRX IV 215/75R14. February 2026 inspection confirms the Pontiac remains in great mechanical order. The restoration work and subsequent servicing position the Pontiac as a strong-driving example that balances authenticity with usability.

The 1964 Pontiac Bonneville presented here is an exceptional, open-checkbook restoration executed to recreate the seller’s family car, an iconic “land yacht” remembered for teaching him to drive. The Bonneville embodies Pontiac’s peak full-size performance-luxury era, featuring its original drivetrain, desirable 8-lug aluminum wheels, and a complete color-change restoration performed to concours-caliber cosmetic standards. The Pontiac offers strong mechanical integrity, excellent road manners, and thoughtful modernization discretely integrated to preserve originality. This is a standout example ideal for regional showing, weekend cruising, and long-distance touring.

Originally sourced in Texas after an extensive nationwide search, the Pontiac was selected for its outstanding structural condition and clean foundation. The seller purchased the car in honor of his mother’s original Bonneville and embarked on a full restoration that ultimately exceeded $70,000 in parts and labor. The current owner commissioned Rex and Restorations of Tempe, Arizona—prior to Rex’s retirement—to complete a bare-metal repaint in the original factory color combination remembered from his childhood. The Pontiac retains its original drivetrain and has been actively enjoyed, including participation in the Copperstate 1000 rally. The provenance reflects enthusiastic ownership, high-cost craftsmanship, and a commitment to authenticity.

The light blue exterior of the Bonneville now presents in outstanding condition following a full strip-to-metal restoration. The prior burgundy-and-black color scheme was professionally converted to match the original familial specification, with replacement of any panel that failed to meet Rex’s standards. The light cream convertible top is in very good condition and working order. All brightwork was sent out for premium replating; when the chromework returned merely “very good,” Rex rejected the results and sent the complete trim set to a second plating shop to achieve the desired quality. The final presentation is exceptional, with crisp bodylines, brilliant chrome, and the highly sought-after factory 8-lug wheels, a rare and functional upgrade originally engineered by GM to reduce brake fade through enhanced cooling and integrated fin design.

Inside, the Pontiac displays a completely renewed cabin completed in white leather with a gentle patina consistent with careful use, complemented by matching door panels and blue rolled-pile carpeting in good condition with light localized wear near the driver’s footwell. The steering wheel was sent to California for a dedicated $1,200 restoration, returning as a two-spoke steering wheel with clear acrylic elements and semi-circular horn ring with the correct sheen and factory contours. This is paired with a woodgrain-accented dash and a 120-mph horizontal-sweep speedometer. The interior successfully blends authenticity with hidden modern comfort: custom-molded kick-panel speakers, a concealed subwoofer under the front bench, and a hidden stereo head that tucks beneath the dash, all paired with a wireless “puck” remote to preserve the period-correct dashboard appearance. The seller personally rebuilt the factory clock with a quartz movement to maintain visual originality while improving functionality. The overall cabin feel is elegant, accurate to period, and exceptionally well finished.

Powering the Bonneville is its original factory drivetrain, known for smooth torque delivery and reliable highway performance. The 389 cubic inch V8 engine paired with a Hydra-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission and column shift runs strongly and the car drives confidently, qualities proven during its participation in the Copperstate 1000 rally. The Pontiac features power steering, power drum brakes, and dual exhaust. The rare 8-lug wheel-and-brake system enhances brake cooling and reduces fade on long descents or spirited touring. The mechanical systems have benefited from consistent care and thoughtful restoration, resulting in a vehicle that is both show-ready and road-capable.

The car includes restoration photos and records, a clean Arizona title, a custom rim-styled Pontiac logo clock, a spare tire in the trunk and a soft car cover.

For more information and details, please call or text Kendi Brown at +1.623.404.9042 or email us at sales@classicpromenade.com. This 1964 Pontiac Bonneville is available for inspection at our showroom in Phoenix. We are pleased to offer FaceTime or WhatsApp live video inspections, and we help coordinate shipping worldwide. We also have financing partners if you are interested in financing.

With careful refurbishment and mechanical enhancements, this Pontiac offers both strong curb appeal and modern reliability.

The exterior of the 1967 Pontiac Executive Sedan commands attention with its elegant proportions and brilliant light blue finish. The paintwork shows depth and richness under light, complemented by matching fender skirts, crisp chrome trim, and the signature split “beak” grille design that defined Pontiac’s styling language of the era. The brightwork surrounding the grille, headlight bezels, and window moldings remains in excellent condition, while the custom 5-spoke wheels provide a contemporary performance accent that blends seamlessly with the Executive’s classic form. The presentation is cohesive, striking, and clearly the product of a meticulous restoration.

Inside, the cabin has been fully refinished in white leather upholstery with subtle blue seatbelts and contrasting blue carpeting, creating a tailored, upscale environment. The seats show only light creasing consistent with careful use, and the interior appointments including the blue steering wheel, Dakota digital dash with chrome-rimmed dials, and upgraded Alpine stereo, add both elegance and functionality. Modern conveniences include air conditioning, power windows and locks, power steering, and a backup camera, ensuring the Pontiac offers both comfort and confidence for regular touring or display use.

Under the hood, the Executive Sedan features a Chevrolet Performance ZZ502 crate engine delivering 508 horsepower and 580 lb-ft of torque, paired with a Turbo Hydra-Matic three-speed automatic transmission. The drivetrain is matched with Fi-Tech fuel injection for reliability and precise throttle response, while Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes provide confident stopping power. The chassis and suspension maintain the composed ride of the original design, enhanced by the modern powertrain’s smooth yet commanding performance. The result is a Pontiac that combines the stately presence of a 1960s luxury sedan with the capability of a contemporary performance machine.

PRICE LOWERED $8,000!! This is a wonderfully preserved 1967 Pontiac Grand Prix Convertible that has lived its life garaged in Northern California with but one owner from new. Having its original paint and upholstery, this Grand Prix has been updated only as required. It is incredibly rare to find such an example with this type of provenance: One owner from new, garaged in California since new with mostly original features. If you value a gorgeous original car over a restored example, this is worthy of close examination.

This Grand Prix was built in the Fremont, CA assembly plant on the last week of October and is body number 257. She is complete with all her owner’s manuals, Protect-O-Plate and a fantastic file history from new. The file starts with its original sales invoice from Balestra Pontiac in Redwood City, CA with a sale date of March 4, 1967. Her original owner, Philip Aaron, was a young lawyer who set up his practice in Redwood City, CA after being discharged from the Navy and graduating from Stanford Law School. During our test drives we had the sense that this was quite the car. Powerful, sleek and sexy as well as rare. The owner knew that which led him to keep it for 55 years until his recent passing. She still wears her original black California license plates.

The livery is in its original Montego Cream (Paint Code T1) and the paint looks terrific. The cream paint is complimented with twin black coachstripes and a standard strip of black vinyl to protect it from door dings. It has been repainted years ago and there are small sections with some lacquer cracking, but overall it is in very nice condition with excellent shine and luster. The chrome and stainless is in excellent condition and if it weren’t for the history one would argue that it has been restored. The chrome with without pitting and the stainless is in excellent condition. The wheel covers are the original Pontiac covers and are in excellent condition. The white power convertible top is much newer and in excellent condition with a clear rear window and an excellent original top boot in Parchment.

The interior is in overall excellent original condition with its original Parchment (Trim Code 585) bucket seats and wood veneered dashboard and center console. Everything appears original with the exception of the carpeting, which could be slightly better fitted near the drivers seat. But the dash pad has no cracks and the steering wheel appears to have been repaired and painted years ago and looks great. The convertible top works very well and operates silently. All the gauges appear to function well and the AM radio works.

The engine compartment has been detailed. There are signs of earlier “rattle can” painting but mostly it is very nice and correct, fine for showing at local car shows. The venerable 400 cid V8 produces 350 hp with its four barrel carburetor. She performs very well as you can see from our videos showing a test drive. The automatic transmission also works very well shifting smoothly. The suspension is very tight and she really drives pretty much as a new car, with the exception of the throaty sound of the exhaust which sound great. The chassis is devoid of rust and the trunk is in very nice original condition with its jack and spare tire.

The Hagerty No. 2 Value is $61,900 and its No. 3 Value is $33,500. Because of this cars condition and provenance, we believe this to be valued closer to a No. 2 example.

For more details and information, please call, text or email Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or sales@classicpromenade.com. The Grand Prix is available for inspection at the owner’s home in Phoenix.

PRICE REDUCED $12,000!! This is a gorgeous restored-as-needed 1948 Pontiac Silver Streak 8 Woodie Station Sedan that is in gorgeous condition for concours or touring. With 58,000 miles from new and lovingly restored as necessary, this is a fantastic example. It is in overall high-point condition while having an interior that is in excellent original condition today. This must be one of the nicest examples of this rare woody in existence today.

This was part of our personal collection as it is such a pristine Woodie with long-term loving owners. Unfortunately, space limitations necessitate us selling it. The past owner was Dr. Sylvio Albert of Oswego, NY. Dr. Albert bought the Woodie in May of 1993. He had much of the restoration work performed to make it a high point AACA contender, although he never showed it under his ownership. Dr. Albert acquired the Woodie from James Grant of Dexter, Maine with 57,723 miles from new. James acquired it from his father, Kenneth Grant also from Dexter. Kenneth acquired the Woodie on January 31, 1974 from its Southern California owner.

The Woodie has its livery finished in Parma Wine (Paint Code 4803) and the ash and mahogany wood was refinished with five coats of varnish that was then hand rubbed. The paint and wood are in show condition today and just gorgeous. The quality of the original wood shows the incredible workmanship that the Ypsilanti Furniture Company in Ionia, MI invested in making these incredible Woodies. The quality of build is far superior than Packard and other high-end manufacturers of the time. The chrome and stainless have been replated or polished as necessary and look beautiful. The top has also been redone and is like new. The painted center medallions on the hub caps show some age while the hub caps are excellent. The Woodie is accessorized with fog lights and the white walled tires look new.

The interior is magical. The dash, steering wheel, upholstery and rubber floor mats are all original and in beautiful condition. The dash plastic and chrome are exceptional and nicer that any we’ve ever seen. The rear seat was an option and was added by Dr. Albert under his ownership. The instruments work well with the exception of the fuel gauge and the clock. The condition and originality of the interior speaks volumes as to the care this Woodie has received through its life.

The engine compartment and chassis are all detailed for show and exhibit beautifully. The venerable 249 CID straight eight engine produces 104 hp and runs well. The three-speed manual transmission shifts well and easily, and 122″ wheelbase ensures that the ride is smooth.

The Hagerty Value Guide shows the 1948 Pontiac Station Wagon valued at $104,000 for a No. 1 example and $88,600 for a No. 2 example. We have this well priced.

For more details and information, please call, text or email Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or sales@classicpromenade.com. This Woodie is displayed in our Phoenix showroom.

This is an exceptional 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge Tribute that looks showroom new from the outside, and has the feel of a modern muscle car on the inside. With a modern drivetrain, better quality materials, and upgrades sourced from top performance brands, this Pontiac is ready to turn heads at local, regional, and even national shows. With just 3,500 miles since the three and a half year frame-off restoration and build was completed, it runs and drives like a showroom new modern classic.

Refinished in sporty Matador Red paint, the quality of the paint is near flawless with an incredible depth and clarity. The ceramic coat over the clear coat makes this unique red hue really shine, while keeping the quality of the paint as maintenance-free as possible. This tribute has all of the expected physical trademarks of a GTO Judge. These include the brand new and correct “Judge” vinyl graphics, Judge badges, and the painted high rear deck spoiler. The endura front bumper fits beautifully and enthusiasts will love the working hood mounted tachometer. Other tasteful upgrades to the exterior include tinted glass all the way around, custom billet door handles, American Racing chrome alloy wheels with wide Nitto high performance tires.

The interior of this coupe received even more attention than the exterior. While the intention of the exterior styling was to appear as a muscle car, the interior has a much more modern flair. The custom black leather interior is offset well with red accent stitching everywhere. Corbeau racing style black leather bucket seats hold the driver and passenger in place and appear as new. Matching the seats are a custom headliner, door panels and new square weave carpet. We love the red stitched diamond patterns used throughout the interior.

A custom built six point roll-bar all allude to the power and performance that awaits the driver in the engine bay. Added amenities include a Vintage Air AC system, custom molded and designed center console, and a full size Pioneer audio/video head unit with JL Audio speakers. The driver will also notice the AutoMeter white face gauges and Ididit steering column. One item that won’t be noticed, but is a welcome addition is the Dynamat heat and sound insulation layered throughout the car. Opening the trunk, you’ll notice the custom finished trunk with GTO badge.

All of the exterior and interior changes that were made to this coupe would be all for naught if it weren’t for the performance upgrades. Supplying the power to this Judge is a custom built 5.7 liter LS1 mated to a Tremec T56 6-speed manual transmission. This combination offers plenty of power and each shift of the short throw shifter is quick and precise through the gears. Opening the hood, you are treated to a neat and tidy engine bay without wires and a few custom upgrades. Between the custom headers and stainless steel dual exhaust with Spintech mufflers, everyone around will be treated to a powerful modern muscle sound. A quick-ratio steering box, oversized sway bars in the front and rear, adjustable front and rear coil-over shocks and Global West tubular A-arms and a fully boxed frame allow this muscle car to move more nimbly around a track or around curves than ever before. Stopping power is aptly provided by Wilwood power disc brakes at all four corners, including slotted and drilled rotors with 6-piston calipers in the front.

Included in the sale are a soft touch indoor car cover and battery tender.

A professional appraisal was recently completed and has been uploaded to the listing page on our website. For details and information, please call, email or text Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or sales@classicpromenade.com. This Pontiac can be seen at our Phoenix Showroom.

This is a very nice and original “numbers matching” 1964 Pontiac GTO convertible with tri-power and automatic transmission that was ordered in the classic color combination of Starlight Black (Paint Code A) with Medium Red interior (Trim Code 218) and an Ivory convertible top (Top Code 1). But this was not only ordered in the right colors, it was fully optioned with air conditioning, tilt wheel, power bucket seats, retractable seat belts and more. This GTO comes complete with documentation from the past three decades, including documentation from the past owner of 30 years.

This was a well optioned GTO when new, with features on the Trim Tag as well as the PHS documentation. The features include:

GTO-only automatic transmission

Air Conditioning (Tri Comfort)

Power steering

Power brakes

Power Bucket Seats

Center Console

Front Retractable Seat Belts

Tilt Steering Wheel

Tinted glass

Red-Stripe Tires

AM Radio

3.08 differential

Deluxe wheel covers and side mirror

In 1997 the GTO was repainted in its original Starlight Black livery by Cunningham Auto Body in Independence, MO. It has very nice luster and gloss and still has some residual orange peel making it look factory correct. There are several small areas where there are light scratches and some chips that have been touched up. The chrome and stainless all look original and are in good to very good condition. There are no dents in the paint or the chrome and the stainless only has light scratching from normal use.

The interior appears to be all original in its medium red vinyl power bucket seats with red carpeting. The interior is in very nice condition for being original. The dashboard is in great shape with its engine turned detailing. There are no cracks in the dash pad, although the steering wheel has a few cracks. There are auxiliary gauges that have been added below the dashboard that work well and appear appropriate.

The venerable 389 CID V8 was completely rebuilt on December 10, 1991 by Mann Speed Specialty in Independence, MO. Every component of the engine was bought new using the original correct block. It was then upgraded to a true 1964 tri-power (with correct Rochester 2 Jet carburetors” from its original four-barrel carburetor giving it (360 hp). Based on the paperwork in the file, the engine would have accumulated about 48,000 miles since the rebuild. The engine has the correct 1964 389 casting number of 9773155 and is date coded January 23, 1964.

The engine and carburetors are completely dialed in and the car cold starts with ease. We have the PHS documentation and the GTO seems all proper (colors and features) and correct except it was born a 4-barrel carburetor car with the upgraded Tri-Power added later and the red line tires are now radials (Coker Classics, date coded 2001 with little use and in excellent condition).

This GTO was built at the Pontiac, MI plant during the fifth week of January, 1964. By 1991, this GTO was owned by Dr. Ron Huffman, who has taken care of it since. It had accumulated 97,623 miles from new. For the first ten years, Dr. Huffman and his wife used the GTO regularly as a fair-weather driver (using it as their convertible). Since about 2009, this GTO has had limited use solely as a collector car. In the past 20 years it has averaged about 100 miles per year.

We have just finished detailing the car and we had a full mechanical inspection performed. This GTO fires right up even when cold and performs very well. The steering and brakes function as they should and the car is a delight to drive. We did light cleaning and painting of the undercarriage. The passenger side rear body mount is broken and should eventually be repaired. The car otherwise was undercoated when new and is largely otherwise very solid and rust free. We installed a new air conditioning compressor and converted it to 134a Freon, and the system works great.

This GTO is ready for driving as well as showing. This GTO comes with a file of about 30 years of receipts documenting the past restoration and maintenance work. It also comes complete with an original sales brochure, owner’s manual, warranty booklet, convertible top operations manual and service manual. The physical condition of this GTO is between a No. 2 and No. 3, but the fantastic ownership history, great color combination and the abundance of original factory options give a 20-25% increase in values. Data points include the following:

Hagerty Value for No. 2 Condition (Tri-Power) $125,000
Hagerty Value for No. 2 Condition (4 Barrel) $79,900
NADA Guide for High Retail $120,500

This is an all “numbers matching” GTO with all the right specs in the best colors. For more details, please call, email or text Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or sales@classicpromenade.com. This GTO is available for inspection at our Phoenix, AZ showroom.

SOLD by Private Treaty!! This is a fully restored, “numbers matching”, 1965 Pontiac GTO Hardtop Coupe with tri-power and four speed that was bought new here in Arizona and lived a rust-free life. The newly rebuilt engine performs with amazing power and is a blast to drive!! We love the beautiful Burgundy Poly paint with the black bucket seats with wood trim. This GTO is in excellent condition and shows that it was a ground-up restoration of every nut and bolt. It is now ready for concours competition or weekend cruises!! We have just completed an engine rebuild and have added a modern Vintage Air (air conditioning and heater) to make it a much more enjoyable car to use.

This is a well optioned GTO with features including: The four-speed manual transmission, vacuum gauge, Rally gauges, the wood steering wheel, power steering, the rare rear window defroster, limited slip differential and, of course, the upgraded tri-power engine (360 hp). Every nut and bolt was touched and restored. We have the PHS documentation and the GTO seems all proper (colors and features) and correct except it was born a 4 barrel carburetor car with the upgraded Tri-Power added later.

Thatcher Jones and his wife have been the owners for nearly 30 years. They looked for about a year for the right GTO to restore. He bought a rust bucket convertible in Colorado and learned the hard way how not to restore a goat. From that harrowing experience, he looked for a much better GTO to restore.

He found this coupe, which was purchased new in Arizona and lived a charmed life. He took it down to bare metal and there was absolutely no rust anywhere, except for the battery tray (which was replaced). The former owner had removed the original engine because he wanted to preserve it in his garage while he used the car with a 400 cu in engine that he installed. The car, of course, is now reunited with the fully rebuilt original engine (more details below).

Thatcher then restored every component in the car to as-new in the mid 1990’s. Since then, it has accumulated about 500 miles. This was originally a WT Code and has been upgraded to the desirable “WS” code which has the most desired performance upgrades. He completely rebuilt the engine and reinstalled the original date coded venerable 389 cu in (360 hp) engine along with the original tri-power triple carburetors. Every component is correct to the car except the radiator, which while conforming to the car is an updated model. He bought virtually every part from the Pontiac experts at Performance Years (now Ames Performance Engineering). We have files with stacks of receipts documenting the restoration. There are the original stampings everywhere on the car. Attesting to the provenance of the car.

This GTO was built in the Fremont, CA plant during the third week of June, 1965. The black vinyl interior (Trim Code 213-30) is gorgeous with very few imperfections. The paint was beautifully refinished in the correct and original Burgundy (Code NN). The car would score very well in competitive concours events.

We have just finished detailing the car and we had a full mechanical inspection performed. We rebuilt the three carbs and had them dialed in, replaced the timing chain and assembly and fully serviced the car. Since we acquired the GTO, we have rebuilt the engine with all new pistons, rings, bearings, rods, etc. We have also added a modern Vintage Air air conditioning and heating system. This GTO is ready for driving as well as showing. This GTO comes with a file FULL of receipts, about 3-4 inches thick, documenting the past 29 years of restoration and maintenance.

This is a gorgeous two previous owner 1967 Pontiac GTO. This car has always been in Southern California and is absolutely rust free. It is in exceptional condition reflecting that it has always been cared for and cherished.

The first owner was a woman from San Bernardino, CA (now deceased). The car was bought new on May 5th, 1967 from Mission Pontiac Company in San Bernardino. The first owner took exceptional care of the car and enjoyed it for 41 years until she sold it to a pharmacist in Mission Viejo, CA in 2008. The pharmacist set out to make it a fantastic sympathetically restored car that could be enjoyed on trips to the office, tours or concours events. In 2008 he commenced a complete cosmetic restoration of the car from the frame up.

The paint and body work are absolutely fantastic. Certainly the best we have seen on a muscle car. The livery is done in the original Silverglaze metallic with a new black cordova top. All the moldings and gaskets are new and were done to perfection. All of the body panels are beautifully aligned and straight. The paint has been thoroughly rubbed out and is a smooth as one will find- far, far better than when the GTO was new! The previous owner stated that all the chrome and moldings are new or replated, however a couple of the trim pieces appear to us to be very nice originals.

The interior is done extremely well. The rare bench seat is hard to find. The door panels, seat coverings, carpet, headliner, visors are all new and perfect and are done to showroom standards. The glass is all perfect with no scratches or cracks. Everything works as it should, including the clock and the air conditioning.

[tmm_video cover_image=”” cover_image_on_mobiles=”1″ width=”” height=”” sc_id=”sc358026695128″]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KL_zixFyXBY[/tmm_video]

The odometer reads 58,000. We are uncertain as to the total mileage. Although the gas pedal is close to perfect the brake pedal shows some wear. We have provided close up photos for your review. The 400 cubic inch V8 has the original four barrel carburetor producing 335 HP. The engine, transmission and rear end are all original matching numbers.

The car is equipped with the original factory options, including power steering, power brakes and air conditioning. The Rally Sport rims are beautifully restored and the red-line radials make it handle like a dream! The chassis is all original and excellent. The under carriage is clean and proper but had not been painted. We prefer this as it shows what a remarkable car this was to begin with!! For concours showing the engine compartment could use some detailing. For the most part this is not a concours rotisserie-type restoration. Instead, it is a sympathetic restoration (as-needed) to make the car nearly new in every respect while keeping some original unrestored features to show off how the car has been kept all its life! The only modifications from stock known to us are the installation of redline radials (rather then bias ply tires) a cluster of a few below dash gauges and a Pontiac aftermarket AM/FM stereo cassette player.

The Hagerty Value Guide shows that a No. 1 car sells for $69,800 and a No. 2 car sells for $55,400. Our experience is that a documented California “black plate” car in exceptional condition sells for one grade above its condition. Meaning this should be priced at a No. 1 level. Read their value: http://www.hagerty.com/valuationtools/HVT/VehicleSearch/Report?vc=87060

This is a rare and special opportunity to buy a true rust free beautifully restored “black plate” California GTO. These are getting incredibly hard to find and are increasingly leaving the US. Don’t let this go! For more information please call Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or email us at sales@classicpromenade.com. The GTO is located at our Wine Country facility in Temecula, CA.
