THE ESSENTIALS

This is a gorgeous 1963 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible.  What could be more iconic?  Beautifully restored and fully optioned with air conditioning, electric vent windows, and full leather interior and so much more.

This 1963 Cadillac Series 62 convertible was refurbished around 2010 and has been repainted in Briar Rose over reupholstered black leather. Powered by a 390ci V8 linked with a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, the car features a power-operated convertible top, power steering, power-assisted brakes, wheel covers, air conditioning, a power-adjustable front seat, Guide-Matic headlamp control, and an AM/FM radio. An aluminum radiator was installed and the convertible top’s lift-motor pump was replaced in March 2025. Acquired by the current owner in 2014, this Cadillac convertible is now offered in Arizona on dealer consignment with an owner’s manual, a shop manual, spare parts, recent service records, and a Texas title under the owner’s trust.

Finished from the factory in Aspen White (12), the car was refinished in a color described by the seller as Briar Rose (48) during the aforementioned refurbishment. Exterior details include a power-operated black convertible top, a black top boot, quad headlights, a driver-side mirror, rear-wheel skirts, and tail fins with integrated taillights as well as chrome bumpers, window surrounds, and trim. The convertible top’s lift-motor pump was replaced in March 2025.

Steel 15″ wheels feature Cadillac-crested ribbed covers and are mounted with Cordovan whitewall tires measuring 235/75. Power steering was standard equipment, and braking is provided by power-assisted drums.

The bench seating has been reupholstered in tufted black leather, which is complemented by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. The front seat is power adjustable, and other interior equipment includes Guide-Matic headlamp control, air conditioning, an AM/FM radio, seatbelts, and courtesy lighting.

The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 57k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.  An owner’s manual, a shop manual, and spare parts will accompany the vehicle.

The 390ci V8 was factory equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 325 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. An aluminum radiator was installed in March 2025 and the oil and filter were changed.  Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission.

Interesting Fact: The Cadillac Series 62 is a full-size luxury car that was produced by General Motors for 14 years from 1940 to 1964. This vehicle had seven generations over the course of its life and was occasionally marketed as the Sixty-Two or Series Sixty-Two. In its earliest years, the Cadillac Series 62 body resembles a sleek “torpedo” style C-body that features slant in the windshield along with a curved rear window. The original engine in the Series 62 is a 5.7-liter Monobloc V8 that outputs 135 horsepower. This model sold extremely well and accounted for 37 percent of Cadillacs sales in 1940. Eventually, the Cadillac Series 62 went in a boxier direction for the body until the model was renamed to the Cadillac Calais for the 1965 model year. Although the Cadillac Series 62 was discontinued, it is still viewed as a class and is sought after vehicle for many car enthusiasts!
