This is absolutely one of the most pristine original examples of the 1980 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II with a mere 12,390 miles from new. This was the last year of the Silver Shadow IIs and this particular car has long been referred to as “simply the best example to be found anywhere in the world”. It is in nearly showroom condition in every regard and runs and drives as new. We love the Silver Sand over Walnut livery which is both elegant and timeless.

This Silver Shadow II was built in June of 1980 and by October 11, 1990, had accumulated 6,876 miles with one very long-time owner. By 2020, this Rolls had accumulated 11,399 miles and was sold by Daniel Schmidtt & Co out of St. Louis to Stephen Stefano of Emerald Isle, NC. It has now accumulated 12,399 miles and has been very well maintained both cosmetically and mechanically. This Silver Shadow would be very competitive on the showfield or spectacular for using and enjoying on drives or tours.

The Silver Shadow II was the ultimate in luxury, with power seats, mirrors, windows, split level air conditioning, disc brakes, a sophisticated suspension that provided an incredible ride for its passengers and ample power from its powertrain.

The livery is nearly as new in Silver Sand over Walnut. The paint has excellent shine and luster with only a few small paint chips and normal minute lacquer cracks in areas with factory leaded seams. The chrome and stainless are in showroom condition. The white wall radials look great against the Walnut paint. All the lenses and trim are in excellent as new condition.

The Beige leather interior is complimented with Walnut piping and the light beige carpet has Walnut Mouton sheepskin overlays that are also in excellent condition. The leather is soft and supple and is in spectacular original condition. The driver’s seat is in exceptional condition. The burl walnut wood is in nearly perfect original condition with only a couple of very small cracks that are only noticeable upon close inspection. The Blaupunkt Frankfurt Am/FM stereo is complimented by the Pioneer Cassette unit.

The engine compartment is also in showroom condition and features the venerable Rolls-Royce 6.75-liter V8. Mechanically, this Rolls has been fastidiously maintained. The last owner is still searching for the file, which was comprehensive but has now been misplaced. The air conditioning and all components work as new. We hope to have it located for inclusion in its sale. Included in the sale are the tools, fire extinguisher and car cover.

For more information and details, please call, text or email Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or sales@classicpromenade.com. This Rolls is available for viewing at our Phoenix showroom.

This is a beautifully preserved and multiple award winning 1978 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II saloon that is mechanically excellent. With only two owners from new and having accumulated a mere 44,000 miles, this is certainly one of the nicest preserved examples extant. This Silver Shadow earned its First Place in the Concours competition at the 2019 RROC Annual Meeting in Detroit as well as the Cal West Award at the 2021 RROC Annual Meeting winning the highest scoring Silver Shadow considering mileage.

This Shadow was ordered new on Halloween of 1977 and was delivered on September 29, 1978 to Keith O’Rourke of Lenexa, KS through the Mark Motors, Inc. dealership in Overland Park, KS. Mr. O’Rourke enjoyed the Silver Shadow until 2015 at which time it had accumulated 38,472 miles. It’s present owner, Mr. Ralph Curzon, is a longtime RROC board member and master mechanic. Mr. Curzon has shown the Shadow at two RROC Annual Meetings and it earned a First Place in Detroit in 2019 and the Cal West Award in 2021. The Shadow presently has 44,000 miles and is all original and gorgeous.

The livery is Champagne (150-9546) with red and dark brown coachstripes. The paint is all original and in beautiful condition with excellent shine and luster. There are a few small areas where there is the normal cracking associated with the leaded seams. We show these areas in detail in the photo gallery. The stainless steel and chrome are in excellent condition.

The interior is also all original in its Tan Leather (VM846) and in excellent overall condition for its age and mileage. The leather is soft and supple and shows minimal wear. There are some areas of patina, especially on the driver’s seat. These are shown in detail in the photo gallery. This Shadow was special ordered with extra leather applied to the top roll, knee roll and center console. The original wood dash also looks very nice with only very minor cracking. The Deep Fawn carpet is in excellent condition and original matching mouton sheepskin overlays are as-new. The Blaupunkt AM/FM stereo with the separate 8-track player still reside in the dash. All accessories and instruments work as they should.

The engine compartment is beautifully detailed and correct. All systems and components work well, and all the major systems have been fully rebuilt, including the steering rack, hydraulic systems, carburetors, suspension, brakes, etc. This Shadow drives beautifully as only a well maintained low-mileage example would. This Shadow is complete with a large history file, its complete original owner’s manuals, tools, jack and spare.

For more information and details, please call, text or email Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or sales@classicpromenade.com. This Rolls is available for viewing with its owner in Independence, Missouri.

This is one of the nicest 1975 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow Long-wheelbase without division in existence. Being the first Rolls-Royce acquired (30 years ago) and painstakingly restored as part of a 40 Rolls-Royce collection, this is in concours condition today and runs and drives beautifully. If you are desiring a showroom new Silver Shadow Long-wheelbase, look no further. It has covered about 3,000 miles since its restoration.

Ordered on August 21, 1973 by Williams Ford Sales in Cincinnati, OH, it left Rolls-Royce on March 13th, 1974 on the “American Archer”. By April 28th, 1974 it had been received by the dealership and sold to William Scott Cline of C & C Development in Pikeville, KY. The Silver Shadow LWB lived much of its life with Mr. Cline in Daytona Beach, FL and by October of 1980 it had accumulated 27,965 miles.

The Silver Shadow was later owned by Richard Lynn of Marengo, IL and on July 19, 1991 it was acquired by its present owner. By 1992, the Silver Shadow had acquired 86,000 miles. Its new owner commenced a complete concours restoration. The mechanicals were all rebuilt (engine, hydraulics, brakes, air conditioning, etc.) by the specialist Larry Courtney. Then from 1992 through 1994, Barrington Coach Haus performed a gorgeous bare metal respray in its original color combination. Finally, in 1994, all new Connelly leather, Wilton wool carpeting and headliner was installed and the beautiful and perfect wood was refinished by David Paskin of EPC in Virginia.

The livery was refinished exactly as originally ordered when new in Shell Gray (Code 9500434) over Masons Black (Code 9500701) and complimented with red coachstripes. The owner invested $20,000 for the paint alone, with five coats of primer, four coats of paint and three coats of clear coat. The paint is absolutely in showroom condition, as is everything on this example. The chrome and stainless-steel trim are all in excellent show condition. The Black Everflex (Code 5218/DH) is perfect as well and was standard on the long-wheelbase models. We love the stainless RR badging that stands out well against the black roof.

Inside, the all-new black Connelly leather is complimented by red piping. The leather is soft and supple and looks nearly showroom new. The black Wilton wool carpeting is also as-new. The wood is dark and rich and in concours condition.

Mechanically, the Silver Shadow is in excellent condition. We conducted our 154-point inspection and the report is available at our Classic Promenade website. All systems were fully rebuilt and it drives as-new today. There are no rattles or issues.

This Silver Shadow LWB comes complete with a full compliment of tools, historical documents, factory records, restoration receipts, RROC judging sheets, two sets of keys and its owner’s manuals. The restoration receipts are detailed and total to in excess of $57,000.

For more details and information, please call, text or email Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or sales@classicpromenade.com. The LWB is available for inspection at our Phoenix showroom.

This is a gorgeous 1972 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow with only three Arizona owners since new, having accumulated a mere 59,500 miles. This is the definition of a survivor!

The livery is beautifully displayed in the Caribbean Blue metallic. It has all its original paint which is in incredible, nearly new condition. The dark blue coach-stripe just pops against the silver blue metallic paint. It looks as stunning today as it must have in 1972 when it was driven off the showroom floor. There are no dents and only one scratch, and the chrome and stainless are in excellent condition with few flaws. Perhaps one would expect such perfection from a two owner, Arizona car that has been garaged its entire life.

The interior is also all original and in remarkable condition. The dark blue leather is very soft and supple. With the exception of the driver’s and passenger seat bottom cushions, there is no excessive wear or cracking. There is a small crack on the driver’s seat cushion and a split on the driver’s seat cushion which we show in the photo gallery. The wood is Italian walnut and in gorgeous condition, having never been repaired or refinished, as it was never needed. There are several normal cracks in the wood finish, also shown in the photo gallery. There has been the addition of a new set of sheepskin overlays on top of the original light blue carpets. They are as new in all respects.

Mechanically, the Shadow is in excellent condition. The car runs, drives and performs as it should. The radios are not functioning and haven’t since the present owners acquired the car in 2001. The passenger rear door is sometimes sticky, and the tires are older with 5,000 miles on them. All other systems are good to go! Of course, the air conditioning blows nice and cold, of some importance here in Arizona!

HISTORY OF THIS SILVER SHADOW:
This car was bought from Albers Rolls Royce in Zionsville, Indiana for delivery to Arizona. Dr. John Bowers bought this Shadow new in 1973. Dr. Bowers was a long time RROC member and was well known for his 1925 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost and his 1931 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Newmarket convertible sedan. This Silver Shadow was his daily motorcar for about three decades. He took fastidious care of the car mechanically and cosmetically, as one would expect for a Rolls-Royce collector. He had amassed a total of 54,566 miles from new.

In 2001, Rich and Kathy Schuller of Scottsdale, AZ became the next caretakers of the Shadow. As a long time Jet engineer and executive, Rich took incredible care of the motorcar. With his jet experience, he admires and respects the engineering behind the Silver Shadow. You can imagine the care given to the car under his stewardship.

Every week they would use the motorcar to drive to church, RROC meetings and other events. Rich understands the importance of using it weekly to keep the seals lubricated and ensuring all the systems operate and cycle through. This is the same philosophy applied to jet aircraft. In the past 18 years of ownership, the Schuller’s have added just over 4,100 additional miles, for a total mileage of 58,600 from new. We sold the Shadow to its present owner, Duane Gerstenberger in Sun City, where they added just under 1,000 miles in the past 2 1/2 years.

This Rolls comes complete with some spare parts, an entire library of service manuals, club publications, books, records, tools, and owner’s handbooks. This is a beautiful survivor example of the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow. If you are looking for an exquisite original, this may be your car. For more details and information, please call or text us at +1.623.404.9042 or email Harry Clark at sales@classicpromenade.com. The Silver Shadow is available to inspect in our Phoenix showroom.

We are proud to be selected to represent this 1969 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow HJ Mulliner-Park Ward (MPW) Drop-Head Coupe (DHC) for sale after being owned by the same gentleman for the past 46 years. We love the color combination and the history associated with this example. The 46 year owner was the first authorized Rolls-Royce dealer in the state of Arizona, Max of Switzerland This DHC was a trade-in at his dealership after it was just a few years old. Since then, it was his long-time daily driver. After decades of use, he continually restored and refurbished it as needed. As you can imagine, this is the definition of a motorcar that is “dealer serviced” since it was owned by the owner of the dealer!! All the systems have been rebuilt and most of the cosmetics were updated over the years.

The gorgeous Silver Mink metallic livery (Paint Code 9500691) was a bare metal repaint performed by Koach Kraft in Tempe, AZ. The no-expense spared repaint was performed in 1982 and it still looks stunning today. It is rare for motorcars to receive bare metal repaints as they are prohibitively expensive. Yet on Rolls-Royces, it is imperative to have the older paints removed as the differences in thermatic properties of the different paint types will lead to cracking. The repaint was fully documented in photos and receipts. The paint and chrome are both in very nice to excellent condition, really needing nothing. The chrome around some of the window frames show some wear from normal use.

The dark blue leather interior is all original and in beautiful condition. For all its life, the front seats were protected by matching dark blue sheepskin seat covers. They were removed to show the condition of the leather, but are included with the sale. The leather has not been re-dyed or touched up and there are no splits or tears. There is the normal age related surface cracking. The wood was all redone over the years and is in very nice condition. The dark blue carpets have always been protected and are in very nice condition.

The dark blue Everflex convertible top has been redone. The Rolls was transported to Southern California to have the top redone by the authorized Rolls-Royce service provider. It is in beautiful condition today. The top mechanism works, but we had to lubricate the hinge points to have them work effectively after years of not being used. The rubber seals for the top of the windows on the convertible top are original and would benefit from replacement. The clear plastic rear window is very nice.

Our service staff performed a full inspection on the DHC. Mechanically, the engine has been rebuilt and all the systems have been rebuilt over time. The engine was completely rebuilt with all new internal parts including the sleeves, pistons, rods, etc. The transmission was completely resealed at the same time. It was all done through the Rolls-Royce dealership. This was completed on December 19, 1994 when the Rolls had accumulated 125,669 miles. The total bill for Max was $11,869. The DHC has traveled about 6,000 miles since the engine rebuild (the total mileage is 131,000). Scanning the service records shows that the Rolls regularly received the annual service.

The air conditioning is presently not working and is presently R12. We recommend converting it to R134 if it will be used in climates where air conditioning is necessary. The passenger side auto door lock is not functioning at this time. The passenger seat doesn’t move forward or backward and neither seat is presently moving up or down.

The MPW DHC is the predecessor of the Corniche model, and is incredibly rare. For the five years of production, the DHC represented only 100 cars produced each year. It appears that the US import LHD versions totaled about 16 examples for 1969.

This Rolls comes with over 46 years of documentation. The total files are about four inches thick. It also comes with its books and tools. In summary, this is a completely rust-free MPW in a fabulous color combination with a great history.

For more information or to schedule a live video inspection, call or text Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or email us at sales@classicpromenade.com. The Rolls is available for inspection in our Phoenix showroom.

SOLD to Oklahoma!! This is a lovely 1975 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow that has enjoyed three Arizona owners since new and has been garaged and well cared for all its life. The last owner for the past 24 years was a career engineer with the Rolls Royce Engine Division in North America. He generally performed the basic maintenance and service repairs with the occasional assistance of a Rolls-Royce specialty mechanic for more specialized repairs. This Silver Shadow has been wonderfully cared for and is without the normal gremlins found on most Silver Shadows. We love the rarity of the factory electric sunroof.

This Silver Shadow was bought new from Max of Switzerland in Scottsdale, AZ. The owner of Max of Switzerland is a good client of ours. It was ordered in Acrylic White (L67-WV-004) with Mushroom leather. The present owner is a long time RROC member and purchased the Rolls in 1996 from the second owner having accumulated 42,900 miles since new.

Since under the ownership of its previous owner, the Silver Shadow was repainted in Cadillac Diamond White paint to match a Cadillac he once owned. Everything else on this Silver Shadow is original and in overall nice condition. There are no dents or scratches and the chrome and stainless are in very good condition. The white livery is complimented by two black coach stripes. The windows have been tinted and the tinting is in very good condition.

The Mushroom leather (VM 3116) has been well cared for being very soft and supple. The drivers seat bottom bolster has some spitting from use over the years. The balance of the leather is in very nice condition. The mushroom carpets are in very nice condition and the interior overall shows quite well. The Italian Walnut wood is all original and looks stunningly nice. It is not discolored, milky or cracked. This has never been refinished and is in remarkable condition.

Mechanically, all the systems work very well. We completed our comprehensive inspection and found nothing that the car needs. Even the cruise control and clock work well. The original 8 track player operates perfectly and the Rolls comes with a cassette adapter for use in the 8 track player. All the suspension, air conditioning, brakes, and other systems have been rebuilt as necessary and operate very well.

The Rolls has been awarded many trophies in the past, including:
2nd Place at the RROC Annual Meeting in Monterey in 2004
1st Place at the RROC Annual Meeting in San Antonio in 2013

The Rolls comes complete with its books, the cassette adapter and various other items.

For more details and information please call or text Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or email us at sales@classicpromenade.com. This Shadow is available for inspection at our Phoenix showroom.

SOLD to California!! This is a very nice example of a 1977 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II that has been enjoyed and maintained consistently. This Shadow presents elegantly in its Mason’s Black livery with beautiful chrome and stainless. This is a Silver Shadow that would be a wonderful tour car and a car that can be enjoyed regularly.

This was a special order Rolls-Royce that was delivered new to Saudi Arabia for a member of the Bin Ladin construction family. Immediately upon its delivery to Saudi Arabia it was transported to Beverly Hills, California. By 1998 is was owned by Tom Zevely in Southern California. In April of 2000 is was acquired by long-time RROC member Marc Fleming of Spokane, WA. Mr. Fleming has enjoyed the Silver Shadow for the past two decades, is the present owner and our consignment client. The motorcar has accumulated 75,500 miles since new although the odometer is in kilometres. We love the Euro look from the front spoiler and driving lights.

The Mason’s Black paint is in very nice condition being original with only some repaint for the trunk lid as well as the bonnet. The paint has a deep luster and shine with only two minor areas of touched up paint, one being very small chips on lip of the front spoiler and a small scrape on the drivers side rear wheel well. Both have been touched up and are visible only upon close inspection. The paint is complimented with the Black Everflex roof that provides a very formal and elegant appearance. The chrome and stainless are in very nice condition.

The interior is all original and also in very nice condition. The Parchment Leather is very nice with no rips or tears. Its dye has been touched up previously and there is a small stain about the size of a dime on the passenger side front seat and there is normal age related creasing evident. The leather is what one would expect from parchment dyed leather of this age and wear. The rear seat, as is often the case, looks nearly as new in all regards. The wood is excellent with no cracking or fading. This is a sign of the care the car has received and the fact that it has been garaged its entire life. The 158 point inspection report is available and found everything to be in proper working order. Ask us to email you a copy of the inspection report, or you can use this link:

The hydraulic systems have been serviced with the fluids more recently being changed. The self-leveling system works as it should and this Rolls drives beautifully. We have 11 pages of service history available for your review. But it is all ready to be enjoyed by its new caretaker. It comes complete with all service history, shop manuals, owners manual, tools, jack and spare.

The Silver Shadow is available for viewing in Spokane, WA. For more information and details please call, text or email Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or sales@classicpromenade.com.
