Built for the 1977 model year at Chevrolet’s St. Louis assembly plant, this Corvette is  one of approximately 49,000 coupes produced that year. The Corvette was purchased by the current owner in early 2024 and shows 94,595 miles, consistent with regular use and enjoyment.

The fiberglass body retains the unmistakable C3 profile with long hood, flared fenders, pop-up headlights, straight and removable T-top roof panels. Originally finished in Black Tuxedo, this Corvette has been refinished in Red Medium which is in good overall condition. There are small paint bubbles, chips, and minor imperfections concentrated toward the front end. Body panels remain in very good overall condition, and the upgraded 15-inch aluminum wheels provide both a visual and weight-saving improvement over stock, wrapped in Hankook Kinergy 245/60R15 tires in very good condition. A rear luggage rack allows convenient T-top storage or additional cargo capacity, and 1977 marks the final year of the distinctive “sugar scoop” rear window design.

The interior features black leather bucket seats that are in excellent condition. Black cut-pile carpeting presents well, and the woodgrain center console houses a full complement of working gauges with a tilt-telescopic three-spoke steering wheel. Power windows, heat, and air conditioning are in working condition, while the upgraded AM/FM/CD radio functions despite an inoperative display.

Power comes from the optional L82 350 cubic inch V8, producing 210 horsepower and delivers a noticeable step up in performance over the base L48. The engine is paired with a four-speed manual transmission, engaging through the shorter center-console shifter introduced for improved ergonomics. Key performance attributes for the L82 include four-bolt-main construction, four-barrel carburetor, and higher compression ratio. Dual exhaust provides the unmistakable small-block V8 sound, while independent suspension, power steering, and four-wheel power disc brakes deliver balanced handling and confident stopping power. The Corvette retains its factory safety features, including energy-absorbing steering column and dual seat and shoulder belts, rounding out an enjoyable C3 Corvette package.

This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was sold new by Ross Chevrolet in Saint Petersburg, Florida and moved to Canada in the early 1980s. It was offered on BaT in 2019 and eventually made its way to Arizona. The car is finished in red with a white soft top and a red interior. Power comes from a 327ci V8 mated to a Muncie four-speed manual gearbox and a 3.36:1 Positraction rear end. The owner acquired the car in 2020 and it is now offered on dealer consignment with the owner’s manual, service records, and a clean Arizona title.

The Marlboro Maroon metallic paint has great shine and luster but up close it has lacquer cracking in several areas.  It was originally Marina Blue from the factory, and the stainless steel and chrome trim are all in very nice condition.  According to the seller, it has a super solid rust-free frame, the body has never sustained damage, and all the bonding strips are in place.  Overall, the Corvette is in very nice condition and can be enjoyed as it is or repainted as desired.

The interior is a blend of very nice original and restored.  The seats have been replaced with new foam and upholstery in its original black vinyl.  The interior is in very nice condition overall and can be readily shown at local and regional shows.  The seats are very comfortable as well.  All of the instruments work well, including the clock.  We love the short throw four speed manual transmission with the big block.

The engine compartment is detailed and looks sharp and is home to the 454/425hp engine with triple two-barrel carbs.  The high output 454 cid crate motor was installed in 2015 and produces 425hp not including the tri-power.  The valve covers are painted black, and the triple two-barrel carburetors have a freer breathing air cleaner for better performance in every respect. The rear end is said to be an AT Code 3:08 with gearing.  The suspension and brakes have been all replaced as needed in 2017 and the Corvette runs and drives beautifully without any clunks, rattles, vibrations or sounds.  And the four-speed Muncie transmission shifts perfectly without noises or grinding.

This Corvette comes with all the receipts for the restoration and mechanical work since the owner’s acquisition in California in 2015.

The present owner acquired this Corvette from West Coast Corvettes as a numbers matching, 327 cid 340 hp engine featuring solid lifters and its original Borg Warner T-10 four-speed manual transmission.  But beyond those important features, this Corvette has positraction and Wonderbar radio and has benefitted from a complete frame-up restoration.  The present owner purchased it from California, where it had been long registered and was represented as a yellow plate CA car.   This Corvette is fully serviced and really needs nothing to be enjoyed!

The livery is in Roman Red with excellent shine and polish.  Likely far better than the original finished, the paint is beautiful and is consistent with the rest of the car.  The chrome and stainless are show quality.  There are several areas where there are the normal small cracks in the fiberglass which we have shown in the photo gallery with 140 photos on our website.  The radial tires have a small white wall and look great with the wheel covers.  The Corvette comes with an as-new white Al Knoch convertible top that is properly date coded.

The interior is beautiful in Red vinyl also provided by Al Knoch.  The interior overall is in concours condition.  The driver’s seat bottom cushion shows a little time-worn impact on the seams, not from wear but from time.  This is limited to the driver’s seat bottom cushion and is barely noticeable.  The chrome and rest of the dashboard is in overall very good to excellent condition.  The instruments work as they should.  The carpet is in excellent condition and has Corvette branded matching mats.

The engine compartment is in beautiful, detailed condition.  It would pass most concours judging, not quite NCRS National standards but really nice in every respect.  The Corvette has benefited from several upgrades to make it much safer to use.  Front disc brakes, dual master brake cylinders, seat belts, battery cut-off switch, radial tires, aluminum radiator, etc.  The chassis is also in excellent detailed condition.

This Corvette comes complete with a nice recent service history from the last ten years of ownership from its present owner, an Owner’s Manual and a car cover.

This Corvette benefitted from a recent professional restoration that was executed about five years ago under the supervision of an NCRS Judge. The restoration quality is very nice, excellent for regional shows and touring.

The Saddle Tan Metallic livery (Paint Code 932-A) is gorgeous and has a uniquely elegant presence.  The paint has excellent shine and luster and is in beautiful condition today. The Saddle Tan paint is its original and correct factory color. The matching factory hard top is also in overall excellent condition. The correct beige vinyl soft top is new and in excellent condition. This Corvette looks excellent with the tops off as well as with its soft or hard top.  All of the chrome and stainless-steel trim have been restored and show very well. The “knock-off style” hubcaps and Hankook radial tires are in excellent condition.

The Saddle Vinyl (Trim Code 490P) interior was also restored and appears in very nice condition. The Beige carpet appears in near new condition.  The dash and steering wheel are all restored.  Only the center console shows scratches from age and use while the rest of the interior is freshly restored.

This Corvette was ordered new with the 327 cid/300 hp L75 engine package with a single four-barrel carburetor. The power is transmitted through its two-speed Power Glide automatic transmission with a 3:36 positraction rear axle. The engine shows its original engine numbers as from the factory. The engine compartment is nicely detailed and shows very well.  The chassis is also very well detailed and restored and is in overall show condition today.

While the early history of this Corvette is unknown, Thomas Citrani of Winter Garden, FL acquired her in about 2017 and commenced a restoration.  The restoration quality is very nice, excellent for regional shows and touring.  By 2021, she was acquired by Fred Marcus from El Paso, TX.

The Nassau Blue livery (Paint Code FF) has excellent shine and luster and is in touring condition today.  There is one small scratch on the passenger side front fender that is noticeable upon close inspection.  The Nassau Blue paint is its original and correct factory color. The exterior and matching factory hard top overall show very well. The white soft top is in overall good condition. Much of the chrome has also been restored and shows very well. The side pipes are said to be original equipment and look fantastic as well as adding a beautiful exhaust note. The knock-off wheels and redline tires are a recent addition and are in excellent condition. The two-tone hood was updated to a 1967 version during the restoration.

The Blue Vinyl (Trim Code 414B) interior was also restored and appears in very nice condition today. The Blue carpet appears in new condition. She has the optional adjustable telescoping steering column and is complete with the teak steering wheel.

This Corvette was ordered new with the higher performance L79 engine package.  The L79 is the higher output 360 hp 327 cid V8 with a single four-barrel carburetor.  The power is transmitted through its close throw four-speed transmission and Positraction. The engine was rebuilt and balanced and blueprinted in July of 2020 and has accumulated about 2,000 miles since. The engine rebuild was performed by Ben Donhoff Automotive in Melbourne, FL.  The engine shows its original engine numbers as from the factory, but we have been told that the block is a replacement over counter exchange.

The car comes complete with numerous servicing and engine rebuild receipts and a parts catalogue.

This Corvette was bought by a good friend five years ago as a low mileage, numbers matching, 340 hp 327 CID, 4-speed example in Roman Red with both the convertible top and optional hardtop.  It was thought to have less than 54,000 miles and had benefitted from an older restoration.

The livery is sporty and sharp with a fresh repaint in its original Roman Red.  With its removable hardtop also freshly repainted in Roman Red, this Corvette also has its tan vinyl manual convertible top that is in very nice condition.  The wheel covers looks sharp with the faux knock-off spinners.  The new paint includes all new door seals and is in very nice condition.  Overall, it is excellent for local and regional car shows and events.  The chrome and stainless trim are original or from an older restoration and are overall very nice, but showing normal fine scratching from use.

The red vinyl interior is very nice and has no noticeable flaws.  The red carpeting is also in very good condition.  There are a few scratches near the instrument cluster and the red sports steering wheel has the normal light cracks from use.  The optional 4-speed close ratio Syncro-mesh shifter gets the attention in the center of the passenger compartment.  It also features a RetroSound stereo system, although you’re more likely to want to hear the sounds of the engine than a stereo.

The engine compartment is in very nice show condition.  While not for concours, this Corvette overall stands on its own very well for regional shows and for touring. This has been shown at several events, including the La Jolla Concours.

As mentioned, the engine was rebuilt about two years ago with a remanufactured block with the larger 4-barrel carburetor, making it now non-numbers matching.  It has about three hundred miles added since.  It was rebuilt using a Comp Cam and a DeWitts extra efficient radiator and electric fan installed to allow sufficient cooling even for the extreme 110 degree F summers in Phoenix.  In total, about $12,800 has been invested over the past few years to make this a terrific driving Corvette.

Included in the sale are the correct original factory hardtop, owner’s manual, jack and tools, restoration receipts as well as the spare wheel.

For valuation comparisons, the Hagerty No. 2 value is $93,100 and No. 3 is $63,780.  The NADA High Retail value is $119,485.

The factory Polo Green II Metallic paint (Color Code 45) is in excellent condition with no scratches, dents, or faults. The front end does show a few very minor rock chip areas from highway driving. The green metallic hue is dark, but catches the light well and has brilliant luster. The bronze tinted glass removable targa top is in fantastic condition and has an aftermarket blackout vinyl applied to the inside to keep the interior cooler in the heat. All glass including the rear hatch is clean and clear and appears new. The “sawblade” style machined finish wheels are flawless.

The Light Beige Leather interior (Option Code 643) is a very handsome complement to the Polo Green II Metallic paint. The power seats look and feel new with high side bolsters to secure the driver and passenger comfortably over long distances. This makes the Corvette a great touring car with a sporty feel. Keen observers will also note the appearance of the 40^th Anniversary logo stitched into the headrests. The carpets and the carpeted rear hatch area are pristine. The digital and analog instrumentation all appear clear and all buttons are clean and fully functional. The overall condition of the interior is considered showroom new.

The 350 CI LT1 is a fantastic engine, known for power, reliability, and offered great gas mileage at the time. With only 21,600 miles on this coupe, the engine still feels fresh and should offer the next owner a spirited driving experience. This Corvette is equipped with the 4L60 four speed automatic transmission and shifts as it should. This pairing will allow for great drivability in most conditions and still feels quick even by todays standards.

This Corvette comes with the original leather wrapped 40^th Anniversary owner’s book with Corvette branded pen and flashlight and houses one of the two owner’s manuals that will accompany the car. The original sales brochure and window sticker are also included.

This is an extremely well cared for 2016 Corvette Stingray Z51 3LT.  It is a one family car, originally owned by the famous novelist,  Clive Cussler.  Sold on April 26, 2016 at Van Chevrolet Buick GMC of Scottsdale, this Corvette has spent its entire life in Phoenix, with most of that time spent in a climate controlled garage. With only 9,500 miles, a Clean CARFAX, and a major service back in October 2020, this Corvette is as close as it gets to buying one new.

This Corvette wears its optional $995 Long Beach Red (3224) Metallic Tintcoat paint, and it looks fantastic. It’s a very deep, lustrous red with lots of metallic shine, accentuating this Vette’s curves. The paint is still in fantastic shape, free of any swirl marks or scratches. We did, however, notice one small paint chip on the removable roof. We are also big fans of the chrome wheels which suit this car and color combo very well. For the most part, the wheels are in excellent condition, minus some minor curb rash on the front passenger rim.

The interior is equally handsome in Kalahari perforated Napa leather. The light brown on black interior looks and smells new. The seats are both heated and cooled, and show very little to any signs of wear. There is a small, shallow scratch in the leather on the center armrest, but that was the only interior blemish we could find. All gauges, accessories, and features operate as they should.

Mechanically, this Vette nearly perfect. The 6.2L V-8 pulls relentlessly and sounds fantastic. The 8-speed automatic shifts smooth and is extremely responsive. A major service was conducted at Van Chevrolet of Scottsdale back in October 2020. Service items included general inspection, oil & filter change, battery & charging system check, exhaust system check, brake system check, fluid check, tire condition check and suspension & drivetrain check. In short, this Vette has a clean bill of health and is ready to be enjoyed!

Overall, this car is nearly brand new. The 3LT package is Chevy Speak for “fully loaded.” And it is.  This particular car has just about every option available and the condition is so very close to being showroom new!

The body on the frame restoration was performed by Al Wagoner, the owner of An American Classic, LLC in Delafield, WI in 2014.  (http://www.anamericanclassic.com/index.html)  It was then purchased by our client Berry Revzen in Los Angeles who has enjoyed it over these last five years.

The livery is Can-Am White (Code 972) and is in good condition.  There are some stress cracks as shown in the photo gallery, mainly near the crease of the front two fenders.  There is also a hard to see scratch on the driver’s rear fender.  The chrome bumpers and emblems all appear to be original and in nice condition, showing that this car has been well cared for since new.  Upon close inspection there is some discoloration in the paint in the front left side, where some panels are slightly off the shade of white.  This Corvette has the TJ2 Front Fender louver trim option that looks great.  The black convertible top is like new and has rarely ever been raise.

The black vinyl interior all looks new and in excellent condition.  The seats have the optional black A82 head rests, as well.  The black carpet is in very nice condition and the dashboard and switches are also in very nice condition.  The aftermarket stereo and clock are not functioning.

The engine compartment is the heart of any Corvette, and this one doesn’t disappoint.  The original numbers matching L46 engine was fully rebuilt by Al Wagoner and it performs great!  With 350hp and the four-speed manual transmission, this is a blast to drive.  We love the new side pipes that have been added to it, adding to its classic performance look, feel and sound!  The engine compartment is well detailed and looks very nice.  This Corvette features the AM code 3.36 Positraction rear end.

The chassis has been well cleaned and painted during the restoration and the suspension has benefitted from more recent upgrades.  The Corvette comes complete with its owner’s manual and does not have its jack and lug wrench.  The license plates will be included with the car.  They are unique California personalized plates, as it is registered in California.
