Complete photos, videos, and inspection report available at www.ClassicPromenade.com. It’s free to bid and only takes minutes to register.

This is a very well preserved 1969 Cadillac Coupe DeVille which has been owned by our client for the past 13 years. He and his wife have been longtime members of the Classic Car Club of America and the Cadillac LaSalle Club and have enjoyed a beautiful collection of important cars. With the exception of paint color change, this Cadillac is completely original and a survivor.

This Coupe DeVille spent much of its early life in and around Grand Rapids, MI. In 2007, its current owner purchased the car with just 26,000 miles, and shortly thereafter brought the vehicle to Tucson, Arizona, where it has live since. Originally painted Colonial Yellow (5036L), this Cadillac was repainted a vibrant fire engine red by the previous owner. Despite the age of the paint job, it shows quite well.

Since arriving in Arizona, this Coupe DeVille has been very well cared for and driven a mere 13,000 miles in the last 13 years. Interestingly, a dealer sticker was found in the glovebox from Harvey Cadillac Company of Grand Rapids, MI. The sticker shows the car sold in 2002 with 21,955 miles, suggesting the previous owner only drove it about 4,000 miles over 5 years.

This Cadillac has been very well maintained, which is supported by the abundance of paperwork and service receipts (see supporting photo). Though certainly more of a driver’s quality, rather than show car, this Coupe DeVille did win First Place Touring Class in the Cadillac LaSalle Grand National Meet Las Vegas 2016.

Though it is now about a 13-year old repaint, this car still shows beautifully and runs very nicely. The bright red (paint code unknown) has shine and luster, but is not without some minor cracking, particularly just below the C-Pillar, as shown in the inspection report. The cracking is not very deep, and likely from paint being applied too thick in that area. That being said, it is very hard to notice, and likely would only be detected by an astute eye. The chrome and stainless overall are in very good to excellent condition, with lots of shine and very few imperfections. Today this Coupe DeVille would perform well at local and regional car shows and touring events.

The interior is overall very well preserved. The attractive white or cream leather with black carpet and dash are tasteful and are complete with six-way power operated 60/40 split front seats. The dash, door panels and headliner are overall very good. The driver’s door is missing a light cover by the release handle. The front leather seats have some minor cracking, but no rips or stains and remain soft and supple. There are multiple, small nicks in the door armrest material on both doors. Nearly all interior components work as they should, including the radio and power operated antenna. In fact, the only thing we noted inoperable was the clock. It was also noted by the owner that the fuel gauge is inaccurate below 1/4 tank, however we were unable to prove this. The AM/FM stereo and automatic antenna work well.

The white vinyl top is also believed to be original and overall very good. There are some very small tears at the bottom of the C-Pillar, but otherwise it is free of blemishes and a very true, bright white color. We show these small imperfections in the photo gallery.

The monstrous 472 CID V8 produces 375 hp and 525 ft. lbs. of torque. Needless to say, this Coupe DeVille provides a smooth and effortless driving experience. The overall mechanical condition of this Cadillac is very good. The A/C blows cold and strong, though the heater does not work. The heater core developed a leak, and instead of ripping out the dash, the owner chose to simply bypass the hoses. Beyond that, this Cadillac is ready to be enjoyed. Though we recommend an oil change and normal servicing before extensive use.

The chassis shows that it is rust free (with minimal normal surface rust present), and there is some red over-spray in certain areas as seen in the photo gallery. Nonetheless, it is in nice condition today for touring and general use. It also comes with an extra set of keys and an owners manual.

Details about this Cadillac’s condition are included in the 158-point third party inspection which is published as part of this listing, and it is available for viewing at our Phoenix showroom.

The Hagerty Price Guide reflects a No. 3 value of $12,400 and a No. 2 value of $19,200. We believe this to be closer to a 3 given its condition.

This Coupe DeVille was bought new by Mr. Herbert Lyman from Pinole, Ca on June 18, 1966. It was purchased at the Richmond Motor Company in Richmond, Ca. For the next 44 years it stayed in Mr. Lyman’s family.

The original white livery has been recently repainted and the original red leather interior is very well preserved. The stereo has been updated with a hidden high output system using a smart phone as the “head unit”. The sub-woofer is the only obvious component as it is hidden in the trunk.

Mechanically the car is excellent. Having one long-term owner it has been well maintained since new. The air conditioning was drained of freon during a recent service and would require new freon added to make it function. The Coupe DeVille was lowered and has red pin-striped details. In addition, the radials have wide white walls but will need to be replaced in the near future.

This car is a fabulous “black plate” Southern California car that has always seen proper care and attention. This is wonderfully documents with the original sales invoice and window sticker, annual registrations dating back to 1969, maintenance and repair receipts dating back to 1977.

This Cadillac was purchased new by Mr. Nile D. Poyner on August 5th, 1960 at Marvin K. Brown Cadillac, Inc. in San Diego, CA. Interestingly, the original sales invoice (which accompanies the car) states that the model is a “Club Coupe”. Mr. Poyner paid $5,193.60 for the Cadillac. Mr. Poyner kept ownership of the Cadillac until January 1979 when it had accumulated 50,000 miles.

In January of 1977 it was sold to Mr. John Seiler of San Diego. Mr Seiler also retained all the receipts, journals and registration details until he sold it on October 18, 1985 to a well known collector and Superior Court Judge, Terry J. Knoepp. Mr. Knoepp brought the motorcar back to preserved concours condition, kept fastidious documentation and showed the car from 1985 until he sold it to Shannon Sigler, also a large collector of Cadillac’s in San Diego. Mr. Sigler acquired the Cadillac in 2006 with approximately 68,805.

The Cadillac comes with full maintenance logs and receipts since October 1977, when the car had about 46,900 miles. Also included are California license registration cards for each year since 1969!

The original window sticker shows that the Cadillac included the following options: Power Windows, 6-Way Electric Seats, White sidewall tires, Heater, Radio, EZ Eye glass and Dor-Gards for both doors. The total MSRP was $5,734.95.

The chrome and glass on this car are also original and very good to excellent, reflecting the fact that this has been pampered in Southern California since new.

The interior is a fabulously preserved original. Only the dash pad and carpet have been replaced; the carpet not due to wear but due only to the staining from the original padding underneath the carpet (the original carpet is preserved in the trunk of the Cadillac- see photos). And the color combination is spectacular!! White livery with Turquoise interior!

The motorcar was repainted in the original white and looks fabulous. The Cadillac is definitely to show car standards and could be brought to concours events but would likely not be a first place due to its preserved nature.

Every option on this car functions beautifully with power windows and all the customary Cadillac feature.

As with all Series 62’s, this motorcar is complete with a 390 cu in (6.4 liter) V-8 with 325 h.p. In the past 50 years this Cadillac amassed 70,000 miles. With about 21,000 Series 62 Coupes produced, how many have this history. This is a virtually rust free, “black plate” Southern California example with three owners since 1960. This is almost as good as it gets.

The Collector Car Price Guide has the 1960 Cadillac Series 62 Two Door Coupe valued from $22,400 for No. 2 Condition to $32,000 for Number One Condition. We are offering this at a tremendous value and this particular example will prove to be a fabulous investment.

This is a Cadillac deVille convertible that has been in Southern California since new. It was originally from the Fontana, Ca area and has enjoyed a few owners since new. It is a rust free and honest example. It is not in show condition, but is a nice and solid car that may be enjoyed as is or brought to higher standards over time.

It has had a full engine rebuild approximately 3,000 miles ago, a new exhaust system, it has been converted to front power disc brakes (at great expense) and the interior, top and paint have all been done over the past several years.

It makes for a nice driving car that needs additional TLC over time. The paint was done with a very subtle and incorrect pearlescent in white. The paint quality is serviceable but not well done.

The 1964 deVille was equiped with the powerful 429 cu in V8 with 340 hp. The 129.5 in wheelbase makes for a very smooth and luxurious ride with an overall length of 224 inches.

We are offering it at an incredible value for a discerning buyer. More details will be forthcoming and we will add photos after we complete the cosmetic detailing of the motorcar.

The Value Guide shows the Average Price to be $19,500 and the High Retail at $28,900. See the link to NADA at: http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars/1964/Cadillac/Deville/2-Door-Convertible/Values There is a definite premium for a Southern California “black plate” motorcar that is free from rust and mis-use.

This is a rare find. This is almost a one owner “black plate” Southern California motorcar. In 1963, Mr. Miller, a service advisor at the Long Beach Cadillac dealer Ridings Motor Company, bought this two or three year old Cadillac from a local realtor that had bought three when they were new. This one was the realtor’s secretary’s car!

This gorgeous Coupe was used regularly by the Millers and was their favorite motorcar. In about 1980, as a surprise for his parents, their son fully repainted and reupoholstered their prized Cadillac with meticulous detail and in the original and correct materials. Today, we are replacing the carpet and headliner and providing it a full detailing.

This car is a fabulous “black plate” Southern California car that has always seen proper care and attention. Only upon very close attention is it evident that it was ever repainted. The paint still looks terrific.

The chrome and glass on this car are also original and very nice, reflecting the fact that this has been garaged in Southern California since new. Since 1963 this car has remained with the Millers. And have they loved this car.

As with all Series 62’s, this motorcar is complete with a 390 cu in (6.4 liter) V-8 with 325 h.p. It has power windows, power seats, power steering, power anntena and brakes and was specifically desired to be without air conditioning because Mr. Miller knew of potential overheating issues related to the factory air conditioning units.

In the succeeding 50 years this Cadillac amassed 135,000 miles. We personally drove this back approximately 70 miles via Los Angeles freeways from Mr. Millers home at 65 to 80 mph with the radio playing away. It drove as only a vintage Cadillac should garnering thumbs up from other motorists.

With about 21,000 Series 62 Coupes produced, how many have this history. This is a virtually rust free, “black plate” Southern California example with one owner since 1963.

We are still detailing this car and finishing the interior improvements. A full gallery of photos will be forthcoming soon. Please contact Harry at 602.245.7200 or via email at sales@classicpromenade.com for more details.

This car was purchased new in the Sacramento area. The second owner, Jerry Rose, bought this car from the original owner in the 1980’s and kept it until 2008, when Bob Shaw bought it near Redding, CA. This was ordered new in Saddle Firemist (Paint Code 97-1) which was a special ElDorado color.

We have ordered a new correct white convertible top with the correct rear window glass to replace the worn but serviceable original top. The new convertible top will be installed before the end of February. The car has recently installed radial tires and mechanically is strong. There is a very small section of surface rot appearing on the drivers side and we have included a close up photograph for details. It is very close to rust free and very solid as you would expect from a “black plate” California motorcar.

There were 19,200 DeVille Convertibles made in 1965. Each had the powerful 429 cu in V8 with 340 hp. The 129.5 in wheelbase makes for a very smooth and luxurious ride with an overall length of 224 inches. Of course this DeVille is loaded with options including air conditioning, full power and cruise control. These 1960’s Cadillacs are fabulous motorcars.

The NADA value shows High Retail at $28,700 and Average Retail at $19,850. See details of the value at: http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars/1965/Cadillac/Deville/2-Door-Convertible/Values.

This, being a documented “black plate” car with documented history is a terrific value. To research financing alternatives and to learn more about buying collector cars, please visit our website at www.classicpromenade.com.

This is a gorgeous completely original one owner 1971 Coupe deVille (Style 68249N) having covered a mere 65,400 miles since new. With the aging of it’s owners, this gorgeous original motorcar has travelled about 150 miles over the past 20 years; residing in Escondido, California. This completely rust-free fully documented car is all original: never repainted as it bares its nearly perfect original Casablanca Yellow (Code 2175), original white vinyl top, etc. This is a true survivor and is ready for touring or car shows.

This Motorcar comes with a full Certification and Warranty. A full 50-point inspection was performed by an independent ASE Mechanic. Review the certification and warranty details at: http://www.classicpromenade.com/buy-from-us/certified-classic-vehicles/

It has been freshly serviced with new radials and battery to make this a wonderful touring car. It comes complete with the original owners manual and warranty information as issued by the dealer on the day that Norma and Felix Peace bought the car forty years ago. The interior is absolutely gorgeous and with the original spectacular brocade cloth and deep pile carpeting.

We are still prepping and detailing this fabulous motorcar but we wanted to share the preliminary information with our clientele. This Cadillac has absolutely no rot whatsoever. The areas near the vinyl top are perfect, and since everything is original there are no fears of repair work or cover-up!

When the all new 1971 Cadillac’s hit dealer showrooms in the fall of 1970, customers loved the new look. The side panels had curves, and there were softly rounded corners where there were none before. Everything was new, from the inside out. The all new design included new grilles, new taillights and new instrument panels. These cars are big, comfortable, roomy, and handle remarkably well considering their size. This was the last body style where one could lower all the side windows and experience that true hardtop look. Cadillac would retain this basic body through 1976, after which the new down sized models would appear.

For sheer roominess and stretch out luxury, you will not find a more comfortable car to take a trip. The large glass areas provide a wide vista to enjoy passing scenery, and the seats are supportive and comfortable, even for trips that last all day long. Once you take a trip in a 1971 Cadillac, you’ll never want to use any other vehicle for such a trip again. They’re that comfortable. Just set the Climate Control for the temperature you prefer, lock in the speed limit with the Cruise Control, press the search bar to find the FM stereo radio station that suits you, and you’re off! You’ll see why people loved these big cars for so long. Really, there’s nothing else like them for long trips. They do spoil you, and 70 mph for eight hours or longer is nothing for that big Cadillac engine.

Specifications for the 1971 Cadillac are:

Displacement: 472 CID V-8
Bore and Stroke: 4.30 x 4.06
Compression Ratio: 8.5 to 1
Gross Horsepower: 365 @ 4400 rpm
SAE Net Horsepower: 220 @ 4000 rpm
Torque: 500 ft.-lbs. @ 2800 rpm
SAE Net Torque: 380 @ 2400 rpm
Carburetor: Rochester Quadrajet 4MV

Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission

The overall length of this deVille is 225.8″ and the wheelbase is a smooth and comfortable 130″. This Cadillac was set up new with a powerful Motorola two-way radio system that we have not removed. We can either remove it, or if the new owner desires it for club tours we will leave it with the deVille.

We will be updating the site with more details and information as we complete our preparations. This is a wonderful opportunity to by a fabulous all-original Cadillac.

This is a fabulously original top-of-the-line Coupe deVille that has accumulated 89,000 miles by one registered owner since new and has always been dealer maintained. It has been registered by one couple since new and has benefited from one quality repaint to the same original color.

This fine motorcar was bought new by Robert P. Disse, MD who taught at the St. Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri. Dr. Disse lived in Kirkwood, Missouri and bought the car at the Lindburg Cadillac Company in St Louis on December 14, 1967 (invariably as a Christmas present- well deserved I’m sure!).

This car has always been dealer serviced and well loved. According to records included with the car, by 1984 it had accumulated nearly 70,000 miles. By June of 1984 Dr. Disse had sadly passed away and the car was registered in only the name of Marion Disse.
In 1991 Mrs. Disse traded the car into the Lindburg Cadillac. The very same day Alan Pierson was buying a new vehicle for his fleet and, to end the negotiations asked the dealer to “throw in the ’68 Cadillac and I’ll take it”, and they did! He left the Cadillac stored in his garage for nearly 20 years until he sold it earlier this year. It had not been registered in his name, but kept in the name of Mrs. Disse.

By 1968 Cadillac featured the new 472cid (7.7L) engine with a whopping 375 horsepower. This motorcar was ordered with many of the luxury options including power steering, power brakes, climate control air conditioning, Wonder Bar radio, power windows, power door locks and gorgeous red leather interior (the video overstates that the car has “all” options- sorry).

This Cadillac has always garaged and Cadillac maintained. The original Owners Manual and Protect-O-Plate are included in addition to some receipts and records. It has matching numbers car. It has also benefitted from recent new correct wide white wall radials, new exhaust and shocks with a complete service by an authorized Cadillac dealer. This Cadillac runs and drives beautifully with cold air conditioning.

This is a fabulous opportunity to acquire an honest collectable Cadillac for an affordable price. This car has a solid history complete with documentation and exemplifies the luxury, quality and engineering of the period.

1959 Cadillac 62 Coupe- 62k mi., Two Family Car, Great for Restoration

[svgallery name=”1959_Cad_Coupe”]

This car is being sold for a good friend of ours and is a solid two family owned car since new and in need of a full restoration. The now runs and will drive onto a transporter to its new home. This Cadillac Sixty-Two Coupe provides a perfect introduction to Cadillac’s inspiring beauty for 1959. From its dazzling new grille ensemble to its dramatically sweeping rear fins, it is a classic achievement in elegance and majesty of styling. The Sixty-Two Coupe- the most modestly priced of all Cadillac models-features richly appointed interiors beautifully combining fine, modern upholsteries in this broad selection of optional color schemes.

This coupe was bought new in 1959 from Mr. Smellsers in Colorado. He used the car for visiting nearby family and amassed limited miles. In about 1981, the senior Mr. Smellsers gave the car to his son who resided in California. The car was used very sparingly until it was given to the grandson of the original owner, Dennis Smellsers in Temecula, California in about 1992 having travelled about 64,000 miles since new.

Since the 1990’s the car has been parked outside in mild California weather. Since 2005 the car has been sitting under a covered carport. But the exposure to the elements has taken its toll and the car is in need of a restoration.

The car had not been started or driven for about 15 years and the total mileage is 64,316. The car is running well now, sufficient to drive into a transporter. The engine seems strong as you would expect with low mileage. A new fuel pump has been installed. The present owner has readied the car for exhibition to a new owner and to prepare it to drive onto a transporter. This is an excellent motorcar for someone looking for a solid, low mileage car to restore with a well known history since new.
