This 1950 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 Futuramic Convertible was produced at GM’s Lansing, Michigan, facility and wears an older refurbishment that included a repaint in red in addition to reupholstery of the bench seats in red leather. Powered by a 303ci Rocket V8 paired with a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, the Rocket has a replacement black soft top, 15″ wheels, an electric fuel pump, seatbelts, manually operated windows, chrome bumpers, a left-side mirror, a boot cover, and an AM radio.

The Rocket was repainted in the current shade of red under prior ownership, and additional details include a ‘Rocket’ hood ornament, rear wheel skirts, a boot cover, a left-side mirror, and aviation-inspired trim. Records indicate the windshield wiper motor and the convertible top valve, cylinder, and motor have been rebuilt, the chrome on the front bumper, grille, hood ornament, and turn signal covers has been re-plated, and the convertible top, rear bumper, trunk emblem, and weatherstripping have been replaced.

The 15″ wheels wear bright hubcaps and are mounted with whitewall tires. A full-size spare is stored in the trunk, and braking is handled by drums at all four corners. Replacement tires were fitted and the wheel cylinders, sway bar end links and bushings, and three brake hoses have been replaced, according to documentation highlighted in the gallery.

The front and rear bench seats are said to have been reupholstered with red leather under prior ownership, and they are complemented by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Aftermarket seatbelts have been fitted, and additional appointments include manually operated windows, and a rebuilt AM radio.

The three-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames a sweeping 110-mph speedometer as well as auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 2,900 miles, and total mileage is unknown. The dashboard lights were repaired in February 2024.

The 303ci Rocket V8 was introduced by Oldsmobile in 1949, replacing the straight-eight that had powered earlier models. Factory-rated output was 135 horsepower, and features included a Rochester two-barrel carburetor, hydraulic lifters, a counterweighted forged crankshaft, and aluminum pistons. A replacement battery was installed in 2024 and an electric fuel pump has been fitted. Records indicate the fuel pump was rebuilt and the water pump, starter solenoid and armature, fuel sending unit, coolant temperature switch, fuel tank, and radiator and heater hoses have been replaced. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, which was rebuilt in March 2024. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.

The 1948 Oldsmobile Series 66 Dynamic Deluxe Woodie Wagon represents one of the most refined postwar American family cars, blending craftsmanship, comfort, and restrained style. Powered by the original 238-cubic-inch inline six and equipped with a 4-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, the Oldsmobile is believed to show 55,271 actual miles and presents as a high-quality restored example. With its steel body and Ionia-built ash and mahogany coachwork, the Series 66 is well suited for long-distance touring, regional shows, or inclusion in a distinctive postwar collection.

Produced in limited numbers, with just 553 examples built for the 1948 model year, the Series 66 Dynamic Deluxe Woodie Wagon features wood construction by the Ionia Body Company of Michigan, long regarded as General Motors’ premier wood-body supplier. Originally finished in Nickel Gray, this example is believed to have undergone a frame-off restoration and has been carefully preserved since completion. The Oldsmobile reflects the period’s tradition of wood-bodied wagons as upscale multipurpose vehicles, often used for beach outings, resort travel, and family touring, and today offers an authentic representation of that postwar lifestyle.

The exterior presents in Ivy Green paint with deep, even luster, complemented by richly finished ash and mahogany side and rear panels that remain in excellent condition. The dark green textured vinyl roof is clean and well fitted, while the split front windshield, exterior sun shield, and brightwork all present strongly. The distinctive Oldsmobile grille and “bomber” style chrome and green hood handle remain crisp, and the headlamp glass is clear and fully functional. A two-piece tailgate with a tilting glass vent window adds practicality, while steel wheels with Oldsmobile-logo hubcaps and wide whitewall tires in very good condition complete the period-correct appearance.

Inside, the Series 66 features dual bench seating trimmed in the original-style tan cloth and maroon vinyl, offering accommodation for six passengers in a warm, inviting cabin. The wood paneling and interior accents remain in excellent condition and reinforce the craftsmanship associated with Ionia-built wagons. The maroon and chrome dashboard appears fresh, housing a 0–110 mph speedometer and full auxiliary gauges, all framed by an ivory deluxe steering wheel. The clock is operational, the AM radio powers on without sound output, and all interior lighting functions as designed. Manual windows and tilt features provide natural airflow, while the folding passenger bench expands rear cargo space in traditional station wagon fashion.

Mechanical power is supplied by the original 238-cubic-inch inline six, paired with a column-shifted 4-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The Series 66 delivers modest, relaxed performance consistent with its touring-focused design, aided by power-assisted steering and responsive hydraulic drum brakes. The Oldsmobile does not feature turn signals, consistent with the era, and retains a straightforward mechanical layout that emphasizes smooth operation and reliability. Included with the sale are original manuals, a jack, trunk-mounted spare tire, fire extinguisher, recent inspection report and a clean title.

For more information and details, please call or text Kendi Brown at +1.623.404.9042 or email us at sales@classicpromenade.com.

This is a rare and gorgeous example of the 1962 Oldsmobile Starefire Convertible that can be shown at concours events or enjoyed on tours. This Starfire needs nothing to be enjoyed and is tour ready and benefitted from a complete concours quality restoration. Even the air-conditioning works very well, and it drives beautifully. We are smitten with its space-age design and its overall unique fantastic looks and high-quality engineering. This is a car that was built to last, more like a Cadillac, but perhaps should be considered as one of the first true muscle cars. We love this Oldsmobile, and so will you!

The 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire Convertibles were the top-of-the-line offering for Oldsmobile and the top selling year for the Starfire Convertible with only 7,149 sold. According to Hemmings, only 115 examples are remaining, making this a very rare mid-century designed convertible. The space-age design and name “Starfire” derive from the Lockheed F-94B Starfire jet fighter. The Starfire was the first US automobile to offer a center console with a floor shifter (think pre-442). The console also is home to a tachometer which is a nod to the performance aspect of the Starfire (again, pre-442).

This 1962 Starfire Convertible was built at the Atlanta production facility and was an early production model. It had been acquired by a noted collector and architect, Mr. John Boccardo of Santa Clara, UT and Palm Springs, CA. Mr. Boccardo is a long-time Palm Springs resident that has an eye for mid-century design has been an avid collector and rally participant for years. This Starfire was part of Mr. Boccardo’s 20 car collection and benefits from a restoration that still shows very well today.

The livery of this stunning Starfire is Garnet Mist and shows very well overall with very few imperfections that are only noticeable upon close inspection. The exterior chrome shows beautifully as do the brushed aluminum side panels, often referred to as “rocket boosters”, which are inspired from the Lockheed “Starfire” jet fighter. The jet fighter styling is found throughout the Starfire exterior from the induction style grill, the inspired front body lines that carry through portions of the interior and into the subtle rear fins and onto the jet thruster style rear taillights. The turbine-like wheel covers are in very nice condition as are the thin white wall radial tires. The chrome bumpers, brushed aluminum side panels and stainless trim all show very well overall with few imperfections. The white vinyl power convertible top shows beautifully and operates very well. The matching Garnet and burgundy convertible top boot is also in very nice condition and fits perfectly. The undercarriage is in very nice detailed and painted condition overall and is rust free. This Starfire will be a crowd pleasure wherever it is shown.

This Starfire’s interior is gorgeous, as one would expect from the most expensive offering from Oldsmobile in 1962. The hefty price tag is partially due to the long list of standard features including air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power driver’s bucket seat, power antenna and an automatic headlight dimmer. The Starfire is the first US automobile to be equipped with a center console and an automatic transmission floor shifter! The brushed aluminum console is also home to the factory tachometer. The Jet Age styling of the interior is apparent and beautifully done. The bucket seats and rear seat are upholstered in gorgeous two-tone Garnet Mist and burgundy vinyl and show very well overall. The Jet Age styled dash and gauge cluster are in beautiful condition including the Safety-Spectrum Speedometer. All gauges function as designed apart from the clock. The Deep-V steering wheel is unique and beautifully designed and feels good in your hands. The signature turquoise passenger-side dash plaque incorporates a beautiful aqua blue Starfire logo display which adds to the elegance of the overall interior as do the stainless interior door panels and space-age door illumination lights. The overall interior shows very well throughout and is in beautiful condition and ready for show and tour.

The engine compartment is well detailed and painted and is home to the ultra-high 10.5:1 compression 394 ci Rocket V-8 motor that produces 345 hp which is paired with the 4-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The performance of the Rocket V-8 is impressive, and the transmission operates smoothly and quietly. The chrome air cleaner comes complete with the signature “Ultra-High Compression” decal and certainly makes a performance statement.

This stunning 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire Convertible comes complete with the Owner Operator Manual, jack and spare and is ready to be enjoyed for touring and shows. It is a must for collectors seeking rare and significant examples from the American Jet Age of automotive design.

For more information and details, please call or text Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or email us at sales@classicpromenade.com. This Starfire Convertible is available for inspection at our Phoenix showroom. We are pleased to offer FaceTime or WhatsApp live video inspections and we help coordinate shipping worldwide. We also have financing partners if you are interested in financing.

This is a stunning concours restoration of a 1970 Oldsmobile 442 with the desirable and rare W-30 performance option. But this car goes far beyond being a W-30. It was custom ordered by Mannering Oldsmobile dealership in McAllen, Texas in the stunning color combination of Sebring Yellow with White interior AND the dual-gate automatic transmission, Am/FM 8 Track and air conditioning. We’ll be willing to bet that this is the only example with these features. Leading to the reason this car has been on many magazine covers and articles.

The W-30 option included the venerable 455 cu in V8 with the fiberglass hood with integrated air ducts feeding into the low restriction air cleaner. The engine was tuned for greater performance, making sure that this was not your mothers Buick! The automatics used for the W-30’s used the dual-gate Hurst shifter and were tuned especially for the car. The power is delivered through the 3.42 Positraction rear end and the super-rare W-27 aluminum housing and differential cover, which saved 18 pounds over the standard-issue differential. .

We love the iconic red fiberglass inner fender wells that separate the W-30s from other 442s. Whether looking inside the hood or outside the fender wells, the red panels are impossible to miss! And the minuscule amount of weight they save might help the 0-60 time by .000001 seconds!

This W-30 was bought new by Jim Bormann at Mannering Oldsmobile on July 6, 1970. He paid $4,285 for the car. This 442 was custom ordered by the dealer in Sebring Yellow with White interior, automatic transmission and air conditioning. Sebring Yellow is incredibly rare, partly because it was an additional cost over the base colors. And the color looks very contemporary today: think about new Corvettes, Ferraris and Porsches all having yellow as one of their most sporting colors!

Mr. Bowman sold the 442 after about five years and later purchased it back and commenced a total, frame-off restoration that is fantastic today! Shortly after the restoration in 1991, he was awarded Best of Show and Best Engine at the National Muscle Car Association World Finals in Memphis. Since then, the present owner has done everything needed to make it look about as nice as it did when it won Best of Show. The car looks better than new.

The 442 comes with detailed photos of the restoration and a notebook with the various articles and magazine cover sporting the car. Also included is a signed letter from the original dealer and from the original and then long time owner, Jim.

The W-30 version of the 455 Oldsmobile Rocket V-8 was the most powerful engine ever offered in an Oldsmobile intermediate, and like its GM cousins, would be the zenith of the muscle-car era. With a 4.12-inch bore and a 4.25-inch stroke, the W-30 featured a 10.5:1 compression ratio, a high-performance hydraulic cam, big-port heads and an aluminum intake manifold mounting a specially calibrated Rochester Quadrajet carburetor. It was rated at 370 HP at 5,200 RPM with 500 lb-ft of torque at 3,600 RPM. It had a well-deserved reputation as a torque monster and was one of the greatest street performance engines of the era.

This W-30 is available for inspection in Las Vegas, NV. For more details and information, call, text or email Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or sales@classicpromenade.com.

SOLD to New Mexico!!! This is a beautiful older restoration of a 1957 Oldsmobile Super 88 hardtop coupe with its original J-2 tri-power carburetors and factory air conditioning. Said to be delivered new to Glendale, AZ, it has been a California and Arizona car and is a very solid and rust free example. The paint and chrome are in very nice condition and the car is ready to enjoy. Having been restored about 20 years ago, the condition of the car today is still stunning. We consider this to be in overall No. 2 condition on the Hagerty scale (a nice older restoration), and we’ve priced it accordingly

The paint is two toned in Victorian White and Banff Blue, with stunning stainless steel and chrome accents throughout. The paint is in very nice condition as well as the chrome and stainless. The only piece of chrome that could be benefited from re-plating is the passenger side tail light, which appears to have been excessively buffed out. Otherwise the Olds has consistent patina throughout.

The interior appears to be restored in all the proper materials and is in very nice condition today. The combination of the blue fabrics and the blue and white leather is gorgeous. It’s obvious that this was a car built for bankers and architects. The steering wheel shows more patina and appears never to have been restored. The radio works well. The clock is not operational.

The 371 CI engine with tri-power carbs generates 300 hp. The engine compartment is very well detailed and looks great with the multitude of copper lines running for the air conditioning. The Olds has wide white wall radials for improved safety, performance and comfort.

And being an Arizona car that is loaded with original factory options, this is the one to add to your collection. We don’t know how many Super 88 hardtop coupes were made with the J-2 motor and factory air, but it has to be very limited.

For more information and details call or text Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or email us at sales@classicpromenade.com. The Olds is available for inspection at our Phoenix, Arizona showroom.

We are proud to offer this 1974 Oldsmobile Hurst 455 conversion. With iconic Indy 500 livery, and a monstrous 455 cubic inch V-8, this Hurst/Olds is an awesome driver condition muscle car throwback! This particular example started out as a Hurst/Olds 350 and later recieved a 455 engine transplant.

The Hurst/Olds returned in 1974 with the “Colonnade” body style. This year the Hurst/Olds was also the Indianapolis 500 pace car, which was available as a graphics package option to the Hurst/Olds owner. 1,800 1974 Hurst/Olds’ were produced in 1974. The 1974 Hurst/Olds was intended to be a pace car, but because the Indy 500 track required convertibles for the parade lap cars, the Delta 88 was chosen. These cars were used as track cars to parade celebrities and guests on the track. There were a total of 92 Hurst/Olds Parade cars.

This particular 1974 Hurst/Olds was built April 3rd, 1974 in the Lansing final assembly plant and has what appears to be 18,724 original miles on the body. And while the exact number of previous owners cannot be proven, the current owner is our in-house master mechanic, Pedro Meyer. Under his ownership, he has undoubtedly taken meticulous care to ensure the beastly 455 runs strong, the M40 Turbo Hydromatic 400 4-spd shifts smoothly, and all other accessories function as they should. In fact, earlier this year, this vehicle successfully completed a Baja Endurance Road Rally Race.

In addition to the 455 and M40, other points worth mentioning include fake A/C vents (this vehicle does not have air conditioning), a unique rear quarter window, upgraded front and rear sway bars, unique dash gauges, a positraction rear differential, a rear defroster, and the radio antenna integrated into the windshield.

Cosmetically, this vehicle looks great from about 6 feet, but upon closer inspection, its original unrestored condition becomes apparent. We’ve tried to capture most of the exterior blemishes in the accompanying photos. There is also evidence to suggest that this vehicle has been repainted. Despite that, there are no major or obvious signs of corrosion.

Moving to the interior, the original white on black color scheme presents very well. There are no rips, tears, cracks, or stains in the seats. The dash and door panels are also in very good condition. Though the rear deck behind the back seats is less than perfect. The shifter has some signs of wear, but all other touch points, electronics, etc. look good and function properly.

Finally, this vehicle does come with some original Oldsmobile owners manuals, service booklets, and paperwork. We do however want to fully disclose something about this vehicle: as is common with these Hurst conversions, the documentation and proof processes is somewhat “loose.” This particular Olds does appear to be the real thing, and we do not have any reason to think otherwise. However, we cannot 100% guarantee the history of this vehicle nor can we prove that it actually was a part of the 1974 Indy 500.

But with that said, this vehicle is still an absolute blast to drive, and will certainly turn heads. Appreciate this vehicle for what it is and it will not disappoint!

This Olds is available for viewing at our Phoenix showroom. For more information, contact Daniel at 917-890-4230 or daniel@classicpromenade.com

This Oldsmobile 442 is a blast to drive. This is a nice restoration of a low mileage original car. Painted in the deep and rich colors of black with 442 gold striping, this represents the quintessential muscle car. The engine has been completely and thoroughly rebuilt with many performance upgrades.

This example has the proper but non-numbers matching 455 CID V-8 and has benefited from various performance enhancements, such as headers, ignition and air flow upgrades. This car is ready for show or go!!

The engine is a 455 cubic inch with a .03 overbore. The rotating assemblies were thoroughly balanced and new pistons. New water pump, fuel pump and oil pump, new camshaft and hydraulic lifters. The intake manifold and heads are Edelbrock (aluminum performer heads). They installed roller rockers which necessitated the new aluminum valve covers for additional clearance. The horsepower is at least 450 and the torque is about 600 ft lbs. Also updated was the power brake booster. All of this work was completed within the past few months and less than 500 miles.

Review the photos and videos for more details.

We have little specifics on the cars history, but it is an authentic 442 that has the badging and options for the W-30 (but it is not a W-30). The interior is largely original and looks very nice. This reflects that the car has been well cared for over the years.

It was given a full gorgeous repaint and the chrome is very nice. The black paint with gold striping looks sensational! While competitive at regional car shows, it would not be a concours award winner. This is, however, a complete crowd pleaser!! Everyone who sees this falls in love with it and recounts their memories of a 442 in their youth!

This is a fabulous opportunity to own a nicely restored and sorted 442 for a reasonable value. Whether you are wanting a car to show or for weekend touring, this is a great investment value. The NADA value guide shows the high retail value up to $43,700. Please review the value guide as follows: http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars/1970/Oldsmobile/442/2-Door-Hardtop-Coupe/Values

This rare Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Convertible is a California car that has spent most of its existence in the warm and arid Palm Springs area. According to the former owner, this car was owned by one owner for 20 years in the Coachella Valley. In about 1993, it underwent a complete restoration and the odometer was reset to zero and the color changed to the existing gorgeous red metallic.

The previous owner, Wade, bought the car at the Barrett-Jackson auction in about 1997 and has put less than 1,000 miles on the car since. He also repainted the car with a spectacular show winning paint job that was completed about two years ago.

This is a stunning and rare top-of-the-line Oldsmobile convertible with the veritable 445 cu in Rocket V8, factory air conditioning, power top, seats and windows. The rally wheels on this car look as new and are absolutely stunning!! The color combination and the fabulous fiberglass parade top boot make this car a terrific car that could be used regularly and yet welcomed at car shows. Rarely would you see such a nice restoration on a Olds Delta 88 Royale convertible. These motorcars are gaining attention and will surely be a solid investment.

The NADA value guide shows the high retail value at $26,640. We are offering this motorcar at a huge savings. See details online at: http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars/1971/Oldsmobile/Delta-88-Royale/2-Door-Convertible/Values
