This stunning 1995 Jaguar XJS 2 + 2 Convertible with just 37,000 miles has spent its entire life in Colorado where it was never exposed to inclement weather or salted roads. Stored in winter, only a summer driver.

Presented in JADE with Parchment (white) leather interior and Black convertible top, the car is in superb original condition. This final version of the XJS convertible is a refined and classic British grand touring four passenger convertible.

These cars benefit from major quality improvements of the Ford era and feature all the refinements including the face-lifted styling and the last and best version of the Jaguars 4 liter AJ6 6-cylinder DOHC engine. These 6 cylinder cars are considerably less maintenance intensive, more refined and more economical that the earlier 12 cylinder cars making them the preference of Jaguar enthusiasts. These cars provide their passengers with the same old world Jaguar driving experience in its most enhanced form with a cosseting interior swathed in leather and rich wood veneers.

The White leather seats have matching dash and door panels, as well as contrasting brown carpets and burl wood accents. The front seats are power-adjustable and the driver’s seat is equipped with memory settings. Other amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, and intermittent wipers, as well as power windows, locks, and mirrors. This is a cherished Jaguar in outstanding cosmetic and mechanical condition ready to be enjoyed. Few cars have the combination of road manners, old world charm and street presence that the XJS does and the market has recognized these cars as very collectible in recent years.

This is a very rare find that needs TLC to be a daily driver or weekend fun motorcar. This example has been largely off the road since at least 2006. Although it runs and drives fine as well as looking sharp, it has several issues that need attention as described below. Fewer than 2,000 US spec’d XJ-SC’s were made making this an extremely rare model.

This motorcar is in overall very nice condition. The original paint is in wonderful condition with several dents that can be removed easily with paint-less dent repair. The chrome has superficial pitting in most places on the exterior. The wheels also have pitting. We point out most all of the observable defects of the car in the photo gallery as well. Please review the photos closely and ask us questions as well.

The engine and transmission are strong. The engine has the normal Jaguar leaking of oil. The major mechanicals seem very nice. There are many gremlins that need to be chased. The temperature gauge and fuel gauge are inoperative. The air conditioning is not working. The XJ-SC has passed California emissions easily in March 2015.

There is a brake light that stays on, the radials are cracked from age from lack of use and old age. There is also a need to replace the front struts and the struts for the front bonnet. The owner wants to sell the car as-is, so while it is a nice and solid car it will require some tinkering.

This XJ was bought new in the San Fransisco Bay Area. The first owner enjoyed it and put most of the miles existing today through about 1995 when he traded it in at the dealership. The second owner was the brother of our consignment client. He used the car sparingly for until about 2013, when he sold it to his brother. It is a California car since new, with three owners.

For 1987, Jaguar added the XJ-SC two-seat cabriolet to the V-12 coupe. It had removable Targa roof panels and a manually-operated folding rear-quarter top. The cabriolets included full rear luggage-area carpeting and two locking storage bins. They had a removable hardtop section with heated rear glass, which could be mounted in place of the folding soft top. A three-speed automatic gearbox was mated to the 326 cubic-inch V12 engine. It had an aluminum block and head, electronic fuel injection system, Thimble tappets, and offered 262 horsepower.

This XJ-SC is available for inspection at our Temecula, CA location. For more details please call Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or email us at sales@classicpromenade.com.

This is a gorgeous 52,000 mile all original and well maintained XJS Convertible (Roadster with no rear seat). This is the nicest example we’ve seen. It has never been in an accident, no rust and is beautifully maintained motorcar that needs nothing but a new custodian.

The XJS had all its original white paint and is complimented by navy leather interior and burl walnut trim. The cosmetics are excellent with minimal wear shown. Most XJS’s are not V12’s and many have the rear seat configuration. This is the V12 with the roadster configuration without the rear seat.

The car was sold new by Palm Beach Motor Cars, Ltd. on April 26, 1990 to Ms. Sally Siater of Jensen Beach, Florida. The MSRP was in excess of $57,000. By 1992 it had accumulated 20,099 miles. The XJS was then bought by Roger Jenkins from Vista, California on September 10, 1992. He was Scottish and had retired as the City Engineer from the City of San Jose, California. His wife was a school teacher. Roger used the XJS to drive to and from Florida three times over the years; a testament to what a delightful highway car it is. The XJS was kept in a garage under a car cover and blankets for most of its life.

[tmm_video cover_image=”” cover_image_on_mobiles=”1″ width=”” height=”” sc_id=”sc850592818639″]http://youtu.be/ITq6vOWObTc[/tmm_video]

The XJS comes complete with a service history. In 2008 the engine and transmission were pulled and the transmission was rebuilt, a new radiator and fully inspected and serviced the engine. The records reflect the $9,000 cost for this work. It had accumulated a mere 49,000 miles. Today, there are no leaks or issues. Everything operates as it should and the car is ready to be enjoyed!

In the past year the XJS has benefitted from new Diamond Back whitewall radials, the air conditioning has been upgraded to the new R-134 freon and the engine and transmission are using Royal Purple lubrication. Again, everything operates as it should and there are no leaks, rattles, etc. It is fully serviced and ready to be enjoyed.

The motorcar is entirely rust and accident free. It has been upgraded with several cosmetic and convenience items. The center console now has cup holders and has a complementing wood shifter trim.

These motorcars must be driven to be appreciated. The venerable 5.3 liter high efficiency V-12 had been mated to a GM three-speed automatic transmission that created a smooth and powerful combination.

The Hagerty value guide as the XJS convertible in No. 2 condition as being worth $20,600. See the details: http://www.hagerty.com/valuationtools/HVT/VehicleSearch/Report?vbe=30220

Rarely do you see a low mileage, rust free and fully documented XJS convertible. This is a gorgeous car that needs nothing. For more information please contact Harry at sales@classicpromenade.com or call us at +1.623.404.9042.

This is a claimed original 20,000 mile California car that with very small details can be a consistent show winner. The previous Southern California owner owned it from new (33 years). Debra Cohen bought this Jaguar new in Los Angeles, CA. She kept the XJ6C in Marina Del Rey until 2010, when it was donated to the world renowned Peterson Automotive Museum Foundation.

The XJ6C, otherwise known as the XJ Coupes, are a rare two-door pillar-less coupe version of the standard four door saloons. This motorcar has never had any signs of rust or rot and has never been in an accident. This can be one of the finest XJ6C available today and one of the finest examples that we have seen. VIN: UG2J51582

This 1976 XJ6C is painted in archetypal British Racing Green. With barely 20,000 miles showing, it is generally in very good condition. The brightwork looks very nice, but paint and contours are both very good to excellent. The paint is largely original with some areas having been touched up over the years. It has a gorgeous original tan leather interior with matching carpet and cloth headliner. The wood and leather are all original and in very good to excellent condition. The wood has no cracking and looks deep and rich.

Features include a heated rear window, clock, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power windows and an Alpine CD stereo. Fewer than 10,000 XJ coupes were built during the model’s lifespan. This is an excellent chance to acquire an excellent one. The air conditioning works very well and blows cold.

This car has all the options, and many upgrades. The features included with this motorcar include: power windows, power assisted rack and pinion steering, adjustable steering column, power four wheel ventilated disc brakes, power door locks, 36 ft turning circle, full gauge set, automatic temperature control A/C and heating, AM/FM CD player four speaker system, and the traditionally elegant burled walnut fascia. It also includes the center console and lockable glove box. The seats are all faced with the finest tan Connolly hides.

This XJC has the original inline 6 cylinder engine with twin overhead cam that comes standard with the famous Jaguar purr while driving down the motorway. It has benefited from wider radial tires for an improved ride and more defined look. The wheels and radial tires are in excellent condition. All the lights and gauges are working well as you would expect.

This is a no excuses car that is comfortable for touring and will perform well at most car shows. It can be entered in concours event but will be less competitive unless entered into a Post-War Preservation Class. The motorcar handles great and is very smooth and quiet running. Everything is functioning and it has proven to be very dependable and well sorted. Unfortunately, we do not have the manuals, books and maintenance records for the car. We know that the Jaguar has been registered in California since at least 1985. One Southern California owner enjoyed the car from 1985 until 2013.

We have priced this right for a fast sale. For a valuation source please refer to the Hagerty Guide at: http://www.hagerty.com/valuationtools/HVT/VehicleSearch/Report?vc=854328

According to Paul Phillips, a noted coupe expert who runs a coupe parts house and coupe registry, there are less than 200 un-rusted coupes extant. If you are interested in an XJC, this is a wonderful opportunity.

If you are serious about this, hurry up. Where else can you find another BRG and tan California XJ6C with about 20,000 original miles? For more information on this fabulous Jaguar, please call Harry Clark at 602.245.7200 or email us at sales@classicpromenade.com.

[svgallery name=”1992_Jaguar”]

This is a motorcar that was taken in as a partial trade for a 1941 Packard Club Coupe. It was bought new by a college professor from Wichita, Kansas who put 31,000 miles on it before she traded it in on lease in 1997. The evening she returned the car it was seen by a significant collector of Jaguars, Rolls and Bentley in a suburb of Wichita. He was there buying a new XK8 Jaguar that he campaigned as a show car throughout the US. His wife saw the 1992 XJS Cabriolet and loved it. So he bought it for her.

The collectors wife was a hospital administrator and had a “company car”. This allowed her to use the Jaguar as a special occasion motorcar. Over the course of the next 12 years they added 12,000 miles. Since then we have driven it on a daily basis and the total mileage now exceeds a mere 45,000 miles.

Since we have had the motorcar we have fully service it, including a fresh oil change, full and complete tune-up, new front brakes and rotors, rebuilt emergency brake, new radial tires and several odds and ends. The car is in overall good condition and is a very comfortable and pleasurable car to drive. It has proven to be very dependable to be used daily and without fault.

The car has the smooth and powerful V-12 and automatic transmission. It features an elegant and stunning maroon metallic paint with black leather interior accented with grey carpet and headliner. The power top is new and is black. It has the original AM/FM Cassette stereo with four speakers and a new fully powered antenna. The car has all the luxury items including power and heated seats, power windows and power door locks. It also has power steering and power anti-lock brakes.

The XJC, otherwise known as the XJ Coupes, are a rare two-door pillar-less coupe version of the standard four door saloons. This example is a sympathetically restored California car that has been a consistent show winner. This motorcar has never had any signs of rust or rot and has never been in an accident. This is one of the finest XJ6C available today and one of the finest examples that we have seen.

The car was stripped to bare metal and repainted its original maroon.

This car has all the options, and many upgrades. In addition, the vinyl cover on the roof has been removed for more modern look and additional sound proofing has been added under the bonnet providing a nice, quiet ride.

The sympathetic restoration includes many NOS parts including: a rebuilt front end, rubber bushings throughout, the transmission has been upgraded to GM specifications, new electrical switches, wires, motors, cooling fans, brakes, shocks, springs, steering rack, air condition and carbs.

The motorcar handles great and is very smooth and quiet running. Everything is functioning and it has proven to be very dependable and well sorted.
