This is a beautiful fully restored rust-free 1963 Ford Thunderbird coupe that spent its life in California and has benefited from a fully documented professional restoration. This was a two prior owner example that has been thoughtfully restored and is in overall excellent condition today. This highly optioned T-Bird has all the desirable power features and air conditioning and is ready for touring or regional concours events.

In 2014, the current owner purchased this Thunderbird from its second owner, who lived in the California Gold Country. He then commenced a full complete nut and bolt restoration from 2014 through 2019. The restoration was focused primarily on making it a great driving and reliable tour car but resulted in being a concours worthy example. During the restoration, several mechanical upgrades had been made to provide greater horsepower, cooler operating temperatures and better gas mileage (providing 17 MPG on the highway). This is all documented in detail, which will be provided to its new owner.

The livery originally was Acapulco Blue (Paint Code E) and now repainted with three coats of a beautiful vibrant blue that replicates Silver Mink Blue. The T-Bird’s paint is complimented with its restored painted wheel covers. Her chrome and stainless-steel trim are in overall excellent condition with only some wear showing on the rear tail lamp trim rings. All the rubber seals have been replaced and are in excellent condition. We love the Jetson’s mid-century styling of the 1963 T-Birds and this is our favorite color. It looks like a contemporary color today.

The interior has been beautifully restored from its original Medium blue crinkle vinyl and light blue Vachette vinyl (Trim Code 52) to a stunning two-tone blue and gray. There is only one small mark on the center arm rest. Otherwise, the interior is ready for show. This T-Bird is well optioned, including power windows, power steering, power brakes, power front seats and air conditioning. During the restoration, Quiet Ride anti-noise suppression was added to minimize road noise and making her truly enjoyable to drive long distances. The original radio has been restored and includes a plug-in connection for your phone or iPod. The blue carpet is in excellent condition and the black Thunderbird rubber mats are new. The dash and center console look fantastic, and all the gauges and components are working.

The engine compartment is beautifully restored to show condition. The venerable 390 CID V8 engine provides 300 hp and has been professionally rebuilt. The Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission has also been fully rebuilt and resealed. All systems have been thoroughly checked, replaced, or rebuilt as needed. The A/C, heating, exhaust, starting, steering, suspension, charging, transmission, cooling, every mechanical system has been thoughtfully addressed and working.

This is an opportunity to acquire a well-restored Thunderbird to take on your next cross-country adventure or add to your collection. This beautiful T-Bird comes with extensive documentation of the restoration, records, owner’s manual, service manual, magazines, memorabilia, car cover, full spare, jack, and lug wrench.

For more information and details, please call or text Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or sales@classicpromenade.com. The T-Bird is available for inspection at our Phoenix showroom.

This is a beautiful 1957 Ford Thunderbird that can be shown at local car shows or used for touring or weekend use. It is well appointed in its original Raven Black with Flame Red interior, and the more powerful 312 CID engine with the automatic transmission.

This T-Bird was bought from an estate sale in 2012 to become part of the Calumet Collection in La Jolla, CA. It was said to have been owned by the deceased owner and his uncle before him, who acquired from new. It has garnered two first place awards at shows in Del Mar, CA and the T-Bird club show in Long Beach.

The livery is impressive with Raven Black (Color Code A) that has brilliant luster and shine. The canvas convertible top and the factory hardtop with its iconic porthole are also black and look great. The black is deep and rich and is stunning against the abundance of chrome featured throughout the exterior. The chromed original (not reproduction) Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels are brilliant. Overall, the paint is in nice condition. There is one small bubble on the hood and a few touched up areas. The hardtop has a small area with a dent and scratch. The chrome and stainless is in overall nice condition.

The interior is in pleated Flame Red vinyl (Trim Code XH) and is stunning looking when contrasted with the Raven Black exterior. The interior is in very nice condition throughout. The red carpet looks very new as does the entirety of the interior. The engine turned dash trim looks great and very sporty.

The D-Code engine is the venerable 312 CID V8 with the upgraded four-barrel carburetor delivering 245 hp. The only modification is the replacement of the carburetor with a Holly, both for performance and reliability. This T-Bird also specified the Fordomatic automatic transmission. The T-Bird runs and drives beautifully.

We have this T-Bird priced very fairly. The Hagerty values for the 1957 Thunderbird are: No.2 Condition $44,100 and for a No. 3 Condition $29,100, while the NADA Value Guide has the average retail value at $68,900. This is definitely a No. 2- condition example and ready for showing or touring.

For more information and details, please call, text or email Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or sales@classicpromenade.com. The T-Bird is in our Phoenix showroom.

SOLD to Florida!! This 1957 Ford Thunderbird “E-Code” is a fantastic example of one of the most well-known Thunderbird models produced.

The condition of this car is near perfect, being the subject of a complete frame-off restoration. Every nut and bolt was restored or replaced with correct N.O.S. Thunderbird parts. The car was restored in the mid 2010’s by a Thunderbird marque expert and is a numbers matching and original car. Every number on the car, from the motor to the transmission to the rear end, etc., is original to the car and correct.

Included in the sale is the original Ford Invoice for this car, the ORIGINAL VIN tag, and written/photographic documentation of the restoration.

This car still retains a host of important and rare options available for 1957, including:

-Dual 4 Barrel Carburetor 312 CI Engine

-3-Speed Manual Transmission (a special option and transmission specifically made for the dual-quad engine option)

-Auxiliary Hardtop

-Power Seats

-Engine Dress Kit

-Heater and Defroster

-Signal Seeking Radio

-Full Wheel Covers

BODY: This Thunderbird wears its factory correct Gunmetal Grey paint, and was re-painted when the car was restored. All of the body panels were, and still are ripple, dent, and rust free and don’t appear to have ever had any sort of body or accident damage. The glass and seals are in excellent condition and there are no leaks evident. The windshield is original and also in very nice condition.

The body trim, including the stainless steel, chrome, and rubber, is all in excellent condition. Everything was attended to under restoration.

The hard top was restored in the same manner as the rest of the car. The porthole windows and trim are in perfect condition as is the headliner and all of the associated hardware and brightwork.

INTERIOR: The interior was also the subject of intensive restoration, and is trimmed in the original color and code of red. The seating areas are in beautiful restored condition, with no wear evident. The door panels are also in the same condition.

All of the accessories, are in perfect working condition. The original signal seeking radio is in place and working, along with the power seat.

All of the windows roll up and down and work perfectly. The trunk is in stunning condition, the trunk covering is in new condition with no rips, tears, or missing pieces, and the spare tire, jack, and associated tools are accounted for and in very nice condition.

UNDERCARRIAGE: The underside of the car is exactly what a restored show car should look like. A very solid and very well-preserved car was the subject of this restoration, and it shows, with no evidence of any accident damage. It is in show condition.

ENGINE and ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The powerplant in this Thunderbird is the original 312 CI V-8 engine. It has been completely restored and rebuilt to the original specifications and as you can see from the photos, very well restored. All aspects of the motor are in perfect working order, and the compression ratio is exactly where it should be.

The engine bay has been restored to original specifications with all components in operational condition. Every detail of the engine compartment is “Ford Correct” and beautifully presented, down to the N.O.S. “trashcan” fuel filter and the original dual quad air cleaner cover, which has the correct raised “dimple” in the forward center of the cover. It would be difficult to find an engine compartment with a better presentation.

TRANSMISSION: The manual transmission in this car is in perfect working order and functions as a restored car should and has been completely rebuilt. It is the original 3-Speed transmission to the car and very special, as there is a particular 3-Speed that was mated to the dual-quad engine option in 1957.

TIRES, WHEELS, and BRAKES: The tires are in very nice condition and are virtually new. They are the correct and original size replacement for the 1957 Thunderbird, with the correct whitewall and proper load rating. The wheels are the original Thunderbird wheels and full wheel covers original to the car, and specified on the invoice.

The entire braking system has been gone through recently to ensure every part works as it should.

OVERALL DRIVING IMPRESSIONS: This Thunderbird runs and drives as should – It’s barely broken in! The 8-cylinder powerplant runs and accelerates smoothly and very quickly and the transmission shifts as it should.

The car drives around town and on the open road with no squeaks, creaks, or rattles. It needs absolutely nothing to drive, show, and enjoy. All of the mechanical aspects of the car work as they should.

PLEASE NOTE: This Thunderbird still retains all of its original or N.O.S. components! This means the engine, transmission, rear end, etc. are original or correct to the car. All of the numbers, markings, etc., are correct. It is an original and very special car that, as evidenced by the low mileage and condition, has been driven very sparingly and properly cared for. If you’ve never driven a Thunderbird of this period, you are in for a treat with this one!

If you are serious about purchasing this vehicle, we encourage you to inspect it in person and test drive it.

For more information and details, please call, text or email Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or sales@classicpromenade.com. The E Code is with its owner in the Chicagoland area.

Complete photos, videos, and inspection report available at www.ClassicPromenade.com. It’s free to bid and only takes minutes to register.

This is a fully restored 1966 Ford Thunderbird convertible in its original beautiful shade of Arcadian Blue (Paint Code F). This was part of a 40 car collection in El Paso, TX and has been owned by our client for the past 10 years.

This T-Bird was built new in the Wixom, MI Ford plant and it spent much of its life in California and by 2000 it was acquired by Frank Armendarez who was the owner of a well regarded restoration facility near El Paso. At the time he acquired it, the T-Bird was a very nice original car with no rust or accident history. He set out to perform a “frame up” restoration of the T-Bird, including rebuilding all the systems, suspension, engine, etc. By 2004, Frank sold the T-Bird to Al Johnson and on July 23rd, 2010 our client acquired this T-Bird as part of his collection.

Though now it is now about a 15-year old restoration, this car still shows beautifully and runs very nicely. The Arcadian Blue paint (Paint Code F) has wonderful shine and luster, but is not without some fine scratches as shown in the inspection report. The depth of the paint is rather amazing. The small imperfections are from the limited use over the years, along the edges of the doors, hood and trunk. Today the T-Bird would perform well at local and regional car shows and touring events. Kelsey-Hayes chrome wire wheels really pop out next to the dark blue paint and compliment the look of the T-Bird. The twin white hand painted coach stripes also accentuate the lines of the car, the white convertible top and compliment the interior coloration.

The interior has been redone in a very attractive cream vinyl with Arcadian Blue accents and dark blue carpeting and is complete with power operated front seats. The interior is in very nice condition today. The white vinyl power convertible top is also newer with the more modern electronic relays replacing the more problematic original mechanical systems. It also features an Arcadian Blue tonneau cover with the cream vinyl contours, giving it the sleek look of a two seater roadster. The tonneau cover easily removes in a minute. There is very fine pitting on the interior chrome, which we’ve seen on all T-Birds of the era.

The engine compartment is detailed for show and is rather stunning. The 390 CID four-barrel carbureted V8 produces 300 hp, which provides for a smooth and effortless driving experience. These T-Birds are wonderful to drive and are smooth and powerful. With power steering, power brakes, power seats, windows and top, this T-Bird is nicely equipped. Fortunately, they are also mechanically very reliable. This T-Bird runs and drives well. It has been started every other week and has accumulated only 2,500 miles in the past 10 years. We love the functionality of the horizontal red bar for the speedometer!

The chassis shows that it was cleaned and painted during the restoration. It is in nice condition today for touring and general use. It is still fairly clean and in overall nice condition. This T-Bird also features an aftermarket AM/FM cassette stereo that is branded Thunderbird. The T-Bird is available for viewing in our Phoenix showroom.

The passenger side convertible top header has an odd small corrosion area that is evident, but does not impact its functionality. This T-Bird also features power windows which all work, though the window switch gear can be finicky (which we’ve found on most of the T-Birds of the era). We also noticed the radio does not work.

Overall this is a solid driving, good quality car in need of some minor work to make it really excellent. For full details on the condition of this T-Bird, please see the attached Inspection Report.

The Hagerty Price Guide reflects a No. 3 value of $26,070 and a No. 2 value of $42,790. We believe this to be in 2- condition.

For details and information, please call, email or text Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or sales@classicpromenade.com.

This is a very nice example of a 1965 Ford Thunderbird in the iconic color of Rangoon Red. This is part of a 40 car collection in El Paso, TX and has been owned by our client for the past 22 years.

This T-Bird was built new in the Wixom, MI Ford plant and was bought by the current owner on December 7th, 1998. The previous owner was Von Herbst of Blackfoot, ID. At the time it was a very nice original car with no rust or accident history. Since 1998, this T-Bird has received a complete repaint in Ragoon Red. The paint and chrome are in very nice condition today. The paint has excellent luster and shine. The quality is not concours but it would be at home at local and regional car shows and touring events. It has been the star of annual parades, weddings and even a movie or two! The correct Kelsey-Hayes chrome wire wheels really compliment the look of the T-Bird. The factory production tag has been painted over not allowing us to know the original paint and trim codes.

The black vinyl upholstery has also been redone with all the correct patterns and materials. The interior is in excellent condition today. The rare factory air conditioning makes this Thunderbird even more special. There are a limited number of these iconic birds that are convertibles and were ordered new with factory air conditioning. The black vinyl convertible top is also newer and all of the old and troublesome relays have been converted to the newer electronic relay systems replacing the older and problematic mechanical relays. The power windows all work easily and well, as well as the power convertible top.

The 390 CID four-barrel carbureted V8 produces 300 hp, which provides for a smooth and effortless driving experience. These T-Birds are wonderful to drive and are smooth and powerful. Fortunately, they are also mechanically very reliable. The T-Bird runs and drives well. It has been started every other week and driven five to 25 miles monthly in order to keep the systems and seals well lubricated and effective. The odometer shows 13,000 miles which we assume is 113,000, but the total mileage is unknown.

Details about the Thunderbirds condition are included in the 158-point third party inspection which is published as part of this listing. The T-Bird is available for viewing with the owner in El Paso, TX.

The Hagerty Price Guide reflects a No. 3 value of $26,070 and a No. 2 value of $42,790. We believe this to be between a 2 and a 3 in condition.

Are you looking for what is likely the best 1963 T-Bird in existence? This is a multiple award-winning and rust free Arizona car that has undergone a no-expense spared rotisserie restoration by renowned Thunderbird restorer Bud Gilroy from Temecula, Ca. This T-Bird was restored for his close friend, Don Kratzer of Fallbrook, CA. He loved this car and fully optioned it with all the dealer installed Sports Roadster items.

Bud and Don bought the car from the Thunderbird Connection on November 12, 1991 for $13,300. This is a ton of money for a car that you are about to restore! The car was then completely disassembled for restoration.

He restored every single part of the car, down to the minutest detail. The car spent over one year on a rotisserie. The bodywork was completed by a craftsman in Temecula that used absolutely no body filler. He used nothing but his hammers, blocks, sweat and heat. Again, Bud Gilroy is a highly regarded and experienced restorers of Thunderbirds. This example lives up to his reputation in every respect.

It is painted in the ultimate color of Rangoon Red with red interior and a black canvas convertible top. Every aspect of the restoration is excellent and remains in stunning condition. It has all of the Sports Roadster options but it is not a Sports Roadster.

The T-Bird was completed in time for the 1994 Pageant of the Thunderbirds Show where it was awarded Best of Show!! This is considered one of the most competitive T-Bird shows in the world. It then proceeded to win award after award for being the finest example in existence. After a full decade of competitive showing, it was used for local and regional touring, having now accumulated about 4,800 miles.

The car is fully optioned with air conditioning, heater, dealer supplied roadster-type tonneau cover, wire wheels, power steering, power brakes, power window, power seats, power convertible top, correct and original wire wheels, an original “Thunderbird” AM radio, 390 cu in V-8 powered (single carb) and new custom ordered Diamond Back radials. Of course this T-Bird has the sliding steering wheel which brings pleasure to anyone seeing it slide! The VIN is 3Y85Z138165.

It has very little patina and would only be improved by continued detailing, use and maintenance. The car has not been shown for many years and would be a top scorer at any concours event.

An opportunity to acquire a fabulous rotisserie restored car, done by a famous T-Bird restorer is rare to come by. This car, having a known history and being from Arizona in a dynamite color combination is that much more rare!! This is a tremendous opportunity to acquire a fabulous car for your collection.

We are selling this on behalf of the Mr. Kratzer’s widow. It is located in Fallbrook, CA. For more details call Harry at +1.623.404.9042 or email me at sales@classicpromenade.com.

It is all steel reinforced fiberglass with a special frame and all modern steering, braking and suspension. And it is built like a piece of art. Mechanically equipped with power rack and pinion steering, power disc brakes, stage 2 383 Stroker engine, cam, aluminum intake, headers, billet aluminum accessory drive system and many other enhancements.

SOLD to Florida!! This is a gorgeous and rare configuration for a 1962 Ford Thunderbird convertible. This is a sympathetic restoration of a 56,000 mile well loved car with the first owner having it 52 years. This is ready for concours showing or touring. It is a stunning example of the icon T-Bird.

This is an incredibly early production convertible that was ordered to be a variant of a Sports Roadster with a VIN of 2Y85Z100059. The original owner was fastidious and didn’t want to be forced into the cookie cutter “Sports Roadster” configuration. When he went to order the Sports Roadster the dealer told him he couldn’t change its configuration with special requests. To begin with, he didn’t want black interior (black interiors on a convertible get hot in the sun!). So he ordered it exactly as he wanted it. The car was special ordered with a silver interior, power seats, white convertible top, wire wheels, and no power windows or air conditioning. And he made the dealer install the tonneau cover and grab bar upon delivery. The door trim tag proves this very rare set of options.

The engine is the original 390 cu in V8 with its factory installed optional chrome accessories. The original owner did not want power windows as he didn’t believe they were reliable enough, thus the deletion of this quite normal power accessory. His wife later convinced him to add air conditioning. It is a very well done and an authentic addition. Look at the photos in the photo gallery of the engine compartment. That is all original and absolutely stunning.

This T-Bird was a special gem for the original owners. After about 50 years of ownership and just over 50,000 miles of use, they set out on a sympathetic cosmetic restoration. The original owner had the car freshened with new paint, interior, new white convertible top and radials about five years ago. The paint and chrome are in excellent condition, by far better than when it left the factory. The front bumper has been re-chromed; all the rest of the chrome and stainless is original and very nice. They also added a modern AM/FM stereo.

Much of the interior was also replaced or restored during the restoration. The carpet and, we believe, the seats are all new and look excellent. The covering of the dash pad has some repair needed to fasten the material near the defrost vents. The center armrest shows some slight use, otherwise the interior is excellent.

We have detailed records and a DVD of the restoration. Shortly after the completion of the restoration the original owner passed away of a heart attack. That is when she sold the car to our consignment client.

We’ve priced this to sell at a substantial discount. Hagerty Value (No. 2 Value): $42,300 + $4,230= $46,530

More details will be added soon. Until then, please contact us with questions. This is a very interesting car that we’re excited to have in our showroom!

SOLD to Alabama!! This 1955 Ford Thunderbird is a wonderful touring car that with its red livery looks sharp anywhere. It was restored for one purpose: cross-country driving. This is not a trailer queen, but a car meant to be a dependable and great looking touring car.

This is a consignment from Doug and Mimi from San Diego, terrific long term clients of ours that have slowly been reducing their collection as the years advance. This particular car was purchased in 2011 for Mimi by Doug to celebrate her birth year: 1955. Since being under Mimi’s ownership, they have driven it on many extended tours, including about 4,000 miles round trip from San Diego to Biloxi, MS for the Cruising the Coast auto show.

The Torch Red paint (Code R or 70540) was done many years ago and shows several areas of defects if you look closely. This was the original color and always looks stunning! From ten feet away, the car looks terrific with plenty of gloss and a nice deep luster. The photos highlight the main defective areas, which include one small scratch and areas of poor body prep under the paint. The chrome and stainless trim are in good condition. The bumpers look more recently chromed while the other trim show some pitting, but in line with the rest of the car.

The interior is overall in good condition. The red and white two tone looks sharp! The original red dash covering is in good condition and they made a red cloth cover to snap over it to protect it from sun exposure. The seats and door panels have been done in red and white vinyl and show well. The carpet looks very nice in red loop.

Mechanically, the car has been thoroughly gone through and it runs great! As an example, I offered to have the car shipped from San Diego to our showroom in Phoenix and the owners declined. They wanted to drive it! And they did. All 360 miles! And they made sure the car is bullet proof for tours by spending over $20,000 in labor alone to go through the car.

The mechanical upgrades include:

7,000 miles on a complete engine rebuild of the 292 cu in V8 (excellent compression)
Edelbrock 500 cfm 4 barrel carburetor
Power steering and rebuilt steering box
New radiator, 6 blade fan and thermostat with custom fan shroud and overflow tank
All brakes and other ancillary systems rebuilt
Converted to 12 volt
Auxiliary oil pressure and water temperature gauges

If you are looking for a trailer queen, skip this car. This is a great looking and wonderful driving car meant to be dependable when most old cars aren’t. And in Torch Red, this is a real looker! For more details, call Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or email us at sales@classicpromenade.com.

This 1955 Ford Thunderbird is a wonderful touring car that with its red and white livery looks sharp anywhere. It was restored for one purpose: cross-country driving. This is not a trailer queen, but a car meant to be a dependable and great looking touring car. But its sharp enough to take with pride to cars and coffees and regional car shows. The present owner is thought to be its third since it was new.

The Torch Red paint (Code R or 70540) is overall very nice for driver quality and was done many years ago showing several areas of defects if you look closely. This was the original color and always looks stunning! From ten feet away, the car looks terrific with plenty of gloss and a nice deep luster. The photos highlight the main defective areas, which include some areas where the paint isn’t a perfect match. The chrome and stainless trim are in very good to excellent condition. The bumpers look more recently chromed while the other trim show some pitting, but in line with the rest of the car. Both drivers and passengers side glass has been replaced.

We love the chrome wire wheels with the wide white wall radial tires for safety and better handling.

The interior is overall in very good condition. The red and white two tone looks sharp! The seats and door panels have been done in red and white vinyl and show well. The carpet looks very nice in red loop. They have added Sirius satellite radio capabilities and a movable woofer for more enjoyment. The white soft top appears to be in nice condition as well. It comes complete with a hardtop rack for easy storage and moving.

Mechanically, the car has been thoroughly gone through and it runs great! The automatic transmission works well and makes it easy for all to drive and enjoy! It has an electric fuel pump for priming after storage.
