The Model A was produced in November 1928 in Michigan. The Ford was long associated with Arthur Kahn of California, a dedicated member of the Model A Ford Club of America who exhibited the Model A for decades and presented the Ford at the Greystone Mansion Concours d’Elegance in 2014. The current owner acquired the Model A in 2018 and invested substantially in refurbishment using period-correct components while regularly participating in local and regional driving events.

Sweeping black fenders with step plates, black steel spoke wheels with 21in wire wheels with Bias-ply tires, and a rear-mounted spare maintain the correct visual character. The black “Cobra long grain” vinyl convertible top remains in great condition and only showing wear from the internal fabric on the bow on the interior. The foldable rumble seat with brown vinyl bench is in excellent condition. The windshield, custom-etched windwing panels, driver’s side mirror, radiator mascot, nickel-plated headlamps, and rear luggage rack present in great condition and remain functional.

The cabin features a brown vinyl bench seat in overall great condition with one tear that is patched and black rubber floor matting in great condition. The gray green painted metal dashboard houses fully functioning gauges set within a brushed metal panel, complemented by a correct four-spoke steering wheel and clock in in the rearview mirror. The interior maintains the simple, durable presentation that defines the Model A driving experience and reinforces the vehicle’s emphasis on authenticity and practicality.

SOLD to Indiana!! This is an exceptional example of an older restoration of a 1929 Ford Model A Roadster. How often is a Ford Model A part of two important collections of classic cars?

This Model A Roadster was restored by one of San Diego’s top collectors of classic cars, Chuck Swimmer. Chuck had several top award winning motorcars at venues such as the Pebble Beach Concours. This was his Model A that was part of his collection. Mr. Swimmer loaded this roadster with as many accessories as possible, using whenever possible authentic pieces rather than reproduction. Money was not an object.

After Mr. Swimmers passing, the car was sold to another major collector, Bill Habeger, also of San Diego. Mr. Habeger wanted to ensure that he had a fine example of a Model A that could be enjoyed on AACA and other tours. After several years, he sold the car to Pedro Meyer of our San Marcos showroom.

While the restoration is showing the slightest patina, it still looks fantastic and is one of the nicest around. It has accumulated a total of 533 miles since restoration. If you are looking for a quality example to add to your collection, and you want one that can be driven and enjoyed, this could be it!

This is a thoroughly restored example of Henry Ford’s iconic Model A Roadster. It is obvious that every nut and bolt of the car has been replaced, rebuilt or restored.

Many NOS items have been installed, such as new headlights, etc. This Model A had a full restoration and has been used for local car shows and parades. The car was restored in Pennsylvania in about 2002. Look closely at the photo gallery included for details of this nice quality restoration.

This Model A is ready for touring or showing at local car shows. It runs and drives well and looks sharp! We love the blue paint with two toned black fenders. The paint is very nice with only a few minor chips and scratches. The chrome and trim are very nice as well. The white wall tires look terrific with the off-white wire wheels.

[tmm_video cover_image=”” cover_image_on_mobiles=”1″ width=”” height=”” sc_id=”sc538690480201″]http://youtu.be/FDJb63qiLQY[/tmm_video]

The interior is well done. The brown vinyl is of high quality in the passenger compartment as well as the rear rumble seat. The carpet and convertible top are also of excellent quality. The trunk in the back of the Model A is like new and practical for storage of luggage, chairs or a picnic basket! Also, the car features finely etched wind deflecting glass, a side mirror and a rear view mirror.

Everything operates as it should with the sole exception of the speedometer cable needs replacing. The original L-Head four cylinder engine starts and runs fine with ample power. The electrical system has been converted to 12 volt for easy and dependable starting.

For more information please email us at sales@classicpromenade.com or call us at +1.623.404.9042. The car is located at our Wine Country facility in Temecula, CA. The sale includes manuals and a car cover.

This is a California car since new that is an older build as a nice custom. This Model A Coupe has a 327 cu in V8 with an automatic transmission. It comes with a huge pile of documentation dating from the 1980’s. This has been enjoyed and loved since it’s build and continually maintained and improved.

This Model A was sold new in California in 1929. In the 1980’s it was converted into a street rod with a built 327 cu in V8. The Coupe is in very nice condition and is ready for local shows and tours. Some details include:

327 V8 built by Team C High Performance (block 3956618, dated 1968/69) bored 60 over, 9:1 compression, 2102 Edelbrock performer cam, balanced, stainless head bolts and Team C Performance heads (No. 3973487 dated 1971/72 350 ci). It has a 2101 Edelbrock Performer manifold, 600 CFM carb, Mallory distributor and wiring, chrome alternator, water and fuel pumps.

The transmission is a 350 Turbo built by Novotny with a 9″ Ford rear end built by Curries with a 3.89 ratio. The frame is boxed, reinforced with added cross members and has a TCI engine perch, shock mounts and supports.

The Model A has Magoos front discs and stainless braided hoses with 10″ rear Curries brake drums. It is upgraded with a 18 gallon stainless steel fuel tank with mechanical and electric fuel pumps. The wheels are made by Wheel Smith and have the classic artillery style and look fantastic to us (the video incorrectly states them as Craiger)!

The body is original Henry Ford steel with fiberglass fenders by Wescott. For a more unique look, the Coupe features a 32 fiberglass radiator shell by Wescott and a stainless grill.

The gauges are VDO and look very cool. Everything works as it should. The Model A is set up for air conditioning but needs the compressor and lines.

For more information please call Harry at 602.245.7200 or email us at sales@classicpromenade.com.
