This is the one and only 1936 Ford Custom built by Boyd Coddington on the T.V series American Hot Rod for Bud Light. Boyd Coddington (August 28, 1944 – February 27, 2008) was an American hot rod designer, the owner of the Boyd Coddington Hot Rod Shop, and star of American Hot Rod on TLC. Featured in episodes 26-28 in Season 2 of the show, this car’s story begins in St. Louis, Missouri with a visit to the Anheuser-Busch headquarters.

(Watch episodes here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOCuLGJcdWg, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxVYlId8vjI)

Concept drawings were shown to Bud Light customer focus groups who chose this roadsters design as their favorite. Using a 1936 Ford Coupe as the basis, the original car was extensively and carefully modified into its current configuration. The entire process took place onsite at Coddington’s garage for national television from April 1 – 15, 2005. Since the completion of this build, this Hot Rod has been driven a mere 715 miles.

The body of this car is all steel, while the entire undercarriage is polished metal and chrome. The “media-blasted” steel shell was fastened to a chassis jig and its coupe body was transformed with bracing and hand-formed custom sheet metal into a 1936 Ford Roadster. The Candy Blue paint is a custom Dupont color, with six stages and topped with a hand-painted and pinstriped Bud Light graphic swoosh. 16 years later, the paint still, for the most part, shines with lots of depth and luster. As is evident in the photo gallery, there are several areas where cracking has occurred in the paint and body prep.

Mechanically, this Hot Rod is powered by a built and balanced M&R Engine 383 CI small-block Chevrolet V-8 coupled to a GM 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. Tube headers, dual exhaust and an Edelbrock intake manifold with a 4-barrel carburetor produce 450 HP. The Bud Light Roadster has custom 15-inch front and 17-inch rear Boyd Coddington alloy wheels with titanium-anodized centers and staggered Goodyear radial tires. This Hot Rod also has a signature Boyd Coddington coilover front and rear independent suspension. It features a Corvette center section that channels throttle input to the rear wheels down to the ground, while the 4-wheel disc brakes ensure this beast can be tamed.

Our test drive of this car proved to be an “exciting” experience to say the least! The power, sound, and open air driving experience is intoxicating. During our inspection of this car, we did not find any mechanical faults other than an inoperable speedometer (the odometer does still work).

Moving to the interior, the ultra minimal dash, bright red leather, and “Bud Light” branded white gauges complete the look. In fact, this interior is completely custom designed and built by Gabe Lopez. With such a minimal design, there is not much to report other than a very, very small scratch in the cushion of the driver’s seat. For those who were curious, the doors are opened and closed by an electronic button placed on the underside of the dashboard (note the little orange buttons in the photos).

Overall, our impressions are that this is a well persevered, very well built custom with a unique story and some stardom. The cracks in the paint are not noticeable until one looks very closely, nonetheless they are they are a testament to this car’s age. However, in our opinion, a repaint at this time is not worth the effort. Beyond those imperfections, this Bud Light Roadster should quench the thirst of anyone looking for a one of a kind Hot Rod with important provenance.

For more details, please call, email or text Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or sales@classicpromenade.com. This Hot Rod is available for inspection at our Phoenix, AZ showroom.

Are you looking for an all-steel custom truck that is fantastic to look at and even better to drive? All top-notch materials, air conditioning, power windows, high-end stereo, etc. A gorgeous custom that is as-new (1,200 miles since built), no-expense spared build quality. We estimate this is a $120,000 truck to replicate, and it was celebrity owned.

Gorgeous perfect paint in black with a metallic purple accent that is also repeated in the interior. Look at the little details. The windshield is V’d but one piece, etc. Too many to list! Look at the photos carefully to see for yourself.

The interior was done by Craig Renn in California with most of the receipts in the file related to the build. The interior is stunning in every respect. The leather seats are not just gorgeous to look at but are very comfortable. The dash is fantastic. Again, billet everywhere and the Kenwood stereo hides when turned off.

350 ci V8 with billet aluminum everything! GM 350 3-speed auto transmission make this perfect to drive! Look at the photos of the engine compartment. The exhaust is mild, not too different from a new performance car.

This truck was owned by the baseball legend Jamie Moyer from Seattle. Jamie continues to be very gracious and generous in the Seattle community. We are selling this truck on behalf of the estate of the family who has owned the truck since 2006. This is part of what was a multi-million dollar collection of classic cars and trucks. We will sell it for a price that is fair for all parties. If you are looking for a top-quality, very usable truck, this might be the one. But if it is, hurry. There’s only one and it is selling for less than half the costs of building it (assuming you got a great truck to start with for free!).

Call Harry at 602.245.7200 or email us today! The truck is located in Scottsdale, AZ.

SOLD via Private treaty!! This is a drop-dead gorgeous true California-from-new 1934 Ford five window coupe with all original Henry Ford steel body panels. This is a seriously competitive resto-rod that was built by a client of ours that has built each of his cars to perfection- for touring and concours quality show potential. This no expense spared restoration and impeccable build quality makes this a no-excuses purchase.

This has it all. This all Henry Ford steel body rests on a new TCI chassis with the straight axle front end and fastidiously engineered and precise rack and pinion steering. The engine is a completely rebuilt 1965 Chevrolet 327 cu. In. 300 hp V-8 with a 350 Turbo Hydromatic transmission with the final drive completed through a 9 inch rear end. The restoration is detailed with photos, showing pride of craftsmanship.

This was built for long cruises with the upmost in comfort in mind. The interior is finished in breathtaking Le Barron & Bonny “correct 34” upholstery. The craftsmanship far exceeds that of the original Michigan production.

It has beautifully engineered air conditioning and heating systems that use some of the original dash components to operate. We encourage you to look closely at the photos to understand the fantastic build quality of this Coupe. The wood grained dash is spectacular with Stewart Warner “wings” gauges!

The livery is presented in single stage burgundy using PPG paint. The 15-inch Kelsey Hays style wheels are powder-coated in a beautifully contrasted cream. The rear mounted spare was a custom adaptation that we think looks spectacular.

Norm Petrucci, our long-time client and the owner-builder of this Coupe, first bought this as an all-original, rust free California “black plate” car about 25 years ago. He bought the car in Corona, California still presented with the original flat-head V-8. The original car was in impressive condition with an incredibly nice body. Norm had retained us to sell the car about six years ago. Norm has since passed. The existing owner is now having health challenges and has delivered the car to us to sell. In his words, “this is the best car that I’ve bought”, and he has quite a nice collection of cars.

It is rare to find an all Henry Ford steel 1934 five window coupe. Even rarer is to find one that was meticulously engineered to be a fantastic touring car as well as benefited from concours quality finishes in every regard. If you are seriously looking for a coupe, this is the one to buy. For more details email us at sales@classicpromenade.com or call or text us at +1.623.404.9042. It is available for inspection in our Phoenix, AZ showroom.

This showroom new all-steel four-door Custom Woodie (inspired by a 1934 Ford Station Wagon) was designed by Super Rides by Jordan. This classic four-door Woodie body, hand built by Cecil Taylor at the Hercules Motor Car Company in Tampa, Florida, was mounted on a TCI chassis. The Woodie is powered by an aluminum block Ford 427 bored and stroked to 486 cubic inches, generating more than 500 HP and 575 foot-pounds of torque.

All the wood finish and details were completed by Ron Heiden of Heiden Woodworking in Encinitas, California. Ron’s finishing work includes ribbon grain mahogany panels inside and out, as well as hardwood maple, birch, and brasswood roof slats. Ron also added mahogany and maple to the Budnik steering wheel and the handle of the floor-mounted gearshift. The custom surfboard roof rack was constructed of maple and walnut and is finished to complement the wood on the body. We think this looks absolutely perfect!!

This Woodie was painted a spectacular PPG Vibrance “Hellfire” color by Best of Show in Escondido, California. The car’s undercarriage is beautifully detailed with stainless steel and chrome throughout. In the sunlight, the spectacular paint on the fenders and hood displays a wide spectrum of deep candy apple colors as the radius of the fenders and hood move from shadow to light.

The classic interior, which includes leather seats front and rear and wool carpeting, was completed by the award-winning Armando”s Custom Interiors. The interior includes an original 1934 Ford dashboard that has been modified to accept beautiful and functional Classic Instrument gauges. The rear gate swings down to reveal a custom mahogany interior with chrome luggage strips and a panel that hides the gas tank filler cap.

In addition to the dashboard and rear gate design, Super Rides by Jordan created the innovative and beautiful hood superstructure, engine compartment firewall, custom tanks, engine valve covers, and other custom details.

The vehicle’s aluminum Ford 486ci engine includes Edelbrock heads, a Crane roller cam, and an Imagine fuel injection system. In addition to generating more than 500hp and being lightening quick, this vehicle can cruise at more than 70 mph with ease. The engine was built by Gregg Scott Racing Engines in El Cajon, California. The transmission is a hearty Chevy 4L80-E.

The suspension components were built by Kugel Components of La Habra, California, which include stainless steel and polished chrome IFS, and a 9-inch Ford IRS rear end. The brakes have 13-inch drilled and slotted rotors. The limited slip differential carries a 3:08 final gear ration that allows for low-RPM highway cruising. The custom Budnik wheels are 17×7 in the front and 18×8 in the rear.

This award winning Ford was one of the top hot rod Woodies in California, combining stunning looks with lightning quickness. It won “The Best Hot Rod Woodie” award in the 2007 Wavecrest Show, and the 2007/2008 Doheny Wood Show Awards.

The millage on this vehicle is only from driving to and from shows. It is truly in amazing condition and is ready to be enjoyed. However, we cannot recommend the surf boards actually be used for surfing!!!

The original cost to build this vehicle was north of $150,000. For more information or an in person inspection at our Phoenix Showroom, contact Daniel at +1-917-890-4230 or at daniel@classicpromenade.com.

All panels are original steel and the car was thoroughly restored over the past 15 years.

The 350 cu in V8 is a new crate engine with about 1,000 miles from new. It has about 290 HP and has Edelbrock intake and exhaust manifolds, HEI ignition. The engine delivers its power through a 700 R4 four speed automatic transmission. The Ford 8” rear end ratio is 2:8 and allows the fourth gear shift to occur at speeds of about 55 mph. This makes for fabulous third gear in-town or mountain driving and makes for terrific fuel economy and comfort at highway speeds.

The front end is a modern A arm coil Chevy suspension and features power disc brakes.

The Coupe is painted in the perfect shade of Porsche Red. The sexy curves that are unique to the 1940 Ford Club Coupe look fantastic in its red livery. The paint is in excellent condition without scratches or dents. The chrome and stainless are also in very good to excellent condition.
The car has been engineered to be enjoyed on long distance tours. The owner was an upholsterer years ago and developed the interior of the Coupe to be comfortable for long-distance and daily driving. We encourage you to look at the photo gallery and the YouTube video for more details. It is gorgeous!

The present owners of the Coupe, Howard and Jane, bought it in 2002 and have continually improved it and has enjoyed showing it at regional car shows. Howard built in all the convenience of a modern car. It has modern air conditioning, electric wipers, power steering, brakes, windows and full tilt wheel. The dash board looks very cool in silver with black faced Stewart Warner full instrumentation. The Coupe also has a newer Kenwood AM/FM/CD.

This is a gorgeous restoration of an original, rust-free California car. Our consignment client, Jerry, is no stranger to Ford’s. He has restored numerous Ford motorcars and each is a work of art cosmetically and mechanically excellent.

The car is beautifully restored and ready for touring or show. The engine was rebuilt by Escondido Machine in about 2007 and has accumulated about 1,500 miles since. The engine rebuild cost about $4,100.

It runs perfectly and is cool even in extreme temperatures, which is rare for flathead V-8’s! Jerry also converted the six volt electrical system to a 12-volt system for increased reliability and installed an auxillary electric fuel pump. Everything works, including the radio and heater.

The paint was resprayed in the correct and gorgeous Ford Washington Blue. It is a high quality single stage paint job performed by Rancho Auto Body in 2010. The interior was done in high quality vinyl using the original patterns in a very attractive tan. Unique Upholstery in Lake Elsinore performed the upholstery work and installed a new correct canvas convertible top and pump motor. All interior and top work was completed in 2010 and looks as new. We love the dark blue livery contrasted with the tan top and interior.

Finally, Jerry correctly re-chromed or polished almost everything and it looks stunning!!

Jerry bought this ’51 in 2006 from a CHP officer in Northridge, CA. The car was a rust-free California car that was originally red and had one repaint dating from the ’70’s. The car has never been in an accident or had any rust.

This is a concours quality restoration that is ready for touring or show. This does not have the overdrive unit but comes with a spare uninstalled overdrive transmission. The odometer reads 37,100 and is not documented.

The Collector Car Price Guide has No. 1 value at $43,000

The NADA High Retail is $40,700

Rarely do you find a California rust-free ’51 Ford Convertible. This one if gorgeous and ready for its new owner. For inquiries please call Harry at 602-245-7200 or email us at sales@classicpromenade.com.

Norm Petrucci, our client and the owner-builder of this Coupe, first bought this as an all-original, rust free California “black plate” car about 15 years ago. He bought the car in Corona, California still presented with the original flat-head V-8. The original car was in impressive condition with an incredibly nice body.

It is rare to find an all Henry Ford steel 1934 five window coupe. Even rarer is to find one that was meticulously engineered to be a fantastic touring car as well as benefited from concours quality finishes in every regard. If you are seriously looking for a coupe, this is the one to buy. For more details email us at sales@classicpromenade.com or call us at 602.245.7200.

The Coupe has received many subtle modifications including: nosed, decked, frenched headlights and tail lights, an added third tail light for safety. It has the 1950 Ford Crestliner side trim, a recessed rear license plate and custom two tone paint and pin striping.

Under the hood is a 302 cu in High Output 5.0 liter Ford engine with roller cam and lifters, Edelbrock intake and Holley 4 Barrel carburetor. The engine is a very low mileage motor.

Fatman dropped spindles and steering arms are used with lowering blocks in the rear. ECI front brakes have been added with drum rear brakes.

The drive is through an automatic overdrive transmission and of course it is complete with air conditioning and heat. It has a complete stereo system and electric antenna with a Dakota digital keyless entry system.

The interior we think is the highlight. It features tilt wheel, rolled and pleated Mellowhide grained upholstery that looks very rich in Marooon with contrasting White piping. The headliner is contrasted in white with maroon piping and the woodgraining is well done and adds a very elegant feel to the interior. The occupants are protected with three point safety belts.

The gauges were all refurbished and updated by United Speedometer. Everything works well and the car is used regularly. this is a very nice proven cruiser and is located in Lake Elsinore, CA by one of our clients. Please feel free to contact Harry at sales@classicpromenade.com or call us at 602.245.7200.

Every single panel on this all-steel truck has been modified. Why? To make it comfortable and stunning without looking modified. You know it isn’t stock just by the livery of Flame Red and the lowered stance, but unless you are an expert you would not see all the subtle and stylistic modifications to the body.

The cab has been extended five inches so that even my 6’3″ frame fits comfortably into the gorgeous leather interior created by the famous craftsmen at Gabe’s Auto Upholstery in Fontana. It has a fully chromed independent front suspension from Fatboy with four wheel disc brakes and a spectacular 1985 Mustang 5.0 V8.

Inside you have the convenience of Vintage air, a Kenwood CD player, power windows, three point safety belts, added storage compartments, ample soundproofing and full tilt steering column.

This is a turn-key show truck that has been featured in Street Rodder Magazine twice, has won multiple BOS awards and is offered for sale. You know that the cost to build this is well over twice our asking price and it is appraised for $86,000. Don’t miss this one!

For questions and inquiries please call Harry at 602.245.7200 or email us at sales@classicpromenade.com.
