]]> This is one of the original 30 Ford Motor Company factory lightweight cars built for the 1954 Pan-American Road Race (export models).  This is said to be the Argentinean entry, Car No. 313 sponsored by the famous dictator of Argentina, Juan Peron (made popular from the hit “Evita”).

This Ford was restored in 1989 and has a fabulous patina that allows it to look terrific on the show field or race course!  This is a fabulous race car that would enhance any collection.

The Ford V8’s had horrible over-heating challenges.  The straight six cars such as this performed far better.  In fact, in the 1954 race all the Ford V8’s did not finish and all the six cylinder models finished.  This car, car number 313, finished 71st place overall out of 149 starters.

This would be an incredible vintage race car or addition to a racing heritage collection.  This is the real deal.
