This is a beautifully restored, all numbers matching and incredibly well optioned 1969 Chevelle SS 396 convertible in the rare and desirable Hugger Orange. This is a 73,000-mile Arizona car, making it a perfect example for a concours restoration. The quality of the restoration is excellent and with options such as air conditioning, bucket seats, center console and more, this is likely a unique spec for a 1969 Chevelle.

This Chevelle features the rare and desirable Hugger Orange (Paint Code 927), which was only available for the SS 396 optioned cars. The paint is fantastic and is complimented by the black stripes running the length of the sides. The paint is professionally polished and looks as smooth as glass. This Chevelle also features the ZJ7 special wheels, hub caps and trim rings and the C06 black electric convertible top.

The interior is the special SS 396 configuration enhanced with numerous options. It has the correct original A51 black Strato bucket seats with the N34 faux wood grained steering wheel, D55 center console and U14 instrument panel gauges. The black upholstery, carpet and dash are all perfect and as new. Also ordered are the U69 AM/FM pushbutton radio and air conditioning. Everything looks and works as new.

Under the hood is where much of the magic lies. The numbers matching L35 396 CID 325 hp big block looks as new and the sound from the N10 dual exhausts is awesome! The numbers matching M-40 turbo 400 automatic transmission has the console shifter and the H01 rear axle ratio is 3.07:1.

This is an excellent Chevelle to add to any collection of American muscle, or a terrific car to show, drive and enjoy! This Chevelle was produced at the Baltimore, MD plant during the first week in February in 1969. It is believed to be an Arizona car from new.

For more information and details, please call or text Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or email us at sales@classicpromenade.com. The Chevelle is in our Phoenix showroom.

This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle is one of the Bristow Eliminator cars that is a true numbers matching rotisserie restored LS6 4-speed. This Chevelle is in as-new condition today and is fully documented in incredible detail. The 1970 LS6 powered Chevelle is the pinnacle of muscle cars. This was a 40,000 mile original car that was restored by one of the top Chevelle restorers in the world, Cam’s Classic Restorations in Coquitlam, B.C. (they specialize in Chevelle restorations). This is an important example and definitely investment grade in every way. Included on our website photo gallery are detailed photographs documenting the fastidious numbers and date matching records of this Chevelle. It has accumulated approximately 40 miles since its restoration.

This Chevelle was sold new at Cliff Bristow Motors (Dealer No. 82-270) in Three Hills, Alberta. Cliff Bristow was the Yenko equivalent for Canada. Bristow was dedicated to making performance enhancements to Chevrolets to make them much more competitive for racing. This example was one of four LS6 Chevelle’s ordered for Bristow and was shipped on May 13, 1970. Bristow offered the Eliminator Package which included the headers, Hurst competition plus shifter and the Sun Super tach. Unlike Yenko’s, the Bristow Eliminators were not embellished with stripe and decals, with the exception of the subtle dealer sticker on the trunk. This is the only known Eliminator package survivor and is fully documented by the GM Shipping records and GM Canada build sheets.

The Forest Green Metallic (Paint Code 48) livery is nearly perfect. The paint has been tirelessly wet sanded and polished to a mirror surface. There are only a couple of small touch up areas around the hood on the drivers side. The panel fit is superb and the chrome and stainless are as-new throughout. Everything about this Chevelle is correct. Details about this Chevelle were detailed in a four-page article in Bone Stock magazine.

The black vinyl bench seat (Trim Code 755) and interior are perfect, correct and as-new as well. The Sun Super tach is prominently displayed for the driver to see and the short throw Hurst Competition shifter feels just right in your hand.

The engine compartment and undercarriage are absolutely incredible to see. Please review the photo gallery for details. Original inventory labels are everywhere and every component is either date coded correctly or has all the correct labels. This Chevelle had accumulated a mere 40,000 miles when it was found and later restored. Even the brakes drums, wheels cylinders, etc. where restored and reused or are included in the sale.

The venerable 454 CID V8 produced 450hp and 500 ft. lbs. of torque. The M22 4-speed transmission and 4.10 Positraction rear end make this as fast today as it was in 1970. This is thought to be one of 168 examples of the LS6 produced without the cowl induction.

Collectors around the world recognize that the 1970 Chevelle LS6 is an investment grade collectors item not to be missed. This year, numerous examples have been sold of similar cars for $220,000, $220,000 and $330,000. Our Chevelle will compare favorably with any of these three comparable sales. Included with the purchase is all of the documentation, restoration photographs, display boards, an owners manual and case, jack and spare as well as an extra set of keys.

For more details and information, please call, text or email Harry Clark at +1.623.404.9042 or sales@classicpromenade.com. This Chevelle is in our showroom in Phoenix.

This Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS3 396 Four-Speed is fabulous to drive. It has received a fully documented professional rotisserie restoration to show standards. This is a muscle car that would perform as well on the show field as it would in a fun street race (just kidding, no one would race this?).

This Chevelle SS was sold new to Gaylen T. Janousek on February 6th1970 from Du Teau Chevrolet Co in Lincoln, Nebraska. The original Protect-O-Plate is included with the motorcar. It has had four previous owners in Nebraska before arriving in California.

Nearly every detail of the restoration has been documented in a complete photo album containing approximately 100 photos as well as about 100 invoices from Original Parts Group, National Parts Depot and Year One. The invoices from the Original Parts Group alone total in excess of $12,000!! The restoration was completed in about 2005 and the Chevelle has travelled over 15,000 miles since; this means it is well sorted and an excellent car to enjoy!

Painted in its original fabulous colors of Fathom Blue (Paint Code 28) with the white SS striping and Cowl Induction, this is the quintessential muscle car. The interior has been completely replaced as new with the original and correct Black Strato bucket seats (Trim Code 756). (the $1,500 remote controlled stereo system is aftermarket!!)

The paint is nearly flawless. The bodywork is excellent with only a few very minor waves. The chrome, glass, wheels and trim were all replaced and look nearly as new.

The following are some of the factory options this car included, a list that make the car a blast to drive yet very drivable:

331 12 Bolt Posi-traction

396/402 350 HP

M20 Close Ratio four-speed Muncie transmission

Front Disc Brakes

Power Steering

Power Brakes

This has the powerful LS3 396 CID V-8 and has benefited from various performance enhancements, including an Edelbrock intake manifold, Hooker headers, 3” exhaust and much more. The car runs and drives flawlessly!

The frame was sand blasted and powder coated and all necessary sheet metal was replaced as new. This Chevelle benefited from all new bumpers, tail lights, markers, new wiring harness, all new interior and new F41 Hotchkiss springs and suspension. The brakes were upgraded with a new booster and new stainless steel brake and fuel lines. It also has a new close ratio steering box.

This is a fabulous opportunity to own a fully restored and sorted Chevelle for a fraction of what the costs are to restore one to this level. Whether you want a car to show or for weekend touring, this is a great investment value. The 2011 Collector Car Price Guide shows the restored value for these Chevelles to be $56,000.

This is a restored Chevy Chevelle Malibu that is ready for daily use or car shows. While certainly not concours, this is a terrific value and a blast to drive!! It has a fully built 400 cu in engine that delivers about 450 hp.

The engine is from a 1971 through 1975 that was fully professionally rebuilt by a master builder. It is fully balanced, with all new components and a dual quad Edelbrock intake manifold and dual Edelbrock 600 carbs. It has an electric fuel pump, electric thermostat and aluminum radiator with a B&M Quicksilver rapid shifter. It has a 373 mini-spool rear end and a 350 transmission with a 2800 stall converter. The front end has power disc brakes with a CPP quick steering ratio steering box.

The frame shows no history of accidents and there are no signs of rust anywhere. This Chevelle has less than 200 miles since the total rebuild.

We do not know all the history of this car and therefore do not know for sure the total mileage, but the drivetrain is fully rebuilt. More details coming soon. For more information please call Hal at 951-440-0412.

This Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 is fabulous to drive. This is a full rotisserie restoration of a rust free California car. This is a muscle car that would perform as well on the show field as it would in a fun street race (just kidding, no one would race this?)

Painted in the fabulous colors of silver with the SS black striping, this is the quintessential muscle car. This has the proper 396 CID V-8 and has benefited from various performance enhancements, including a complete MSD ignition system, Edelbrock intake manifold, Holly carb, Hooker headers and much more.

The 396-cubic-inch (6.5 L) V8 was introduced in the 1965 Corvette as the L78 option and in the Z16 Chevelle. It had a bore of 4.094 in (104.0 mm) and a stroke of 3.76 in (96 mm), and produced 375 hp (280 kW) and 415 lb·ft (563 N·m). This version of the 396 was equipped with four bolt main bearing caps and was very comfortable with being operated in the upper 6000 rpm range.

Introduced in 1970, the 402-cubic-inch (6.6 L) was a 396-cubic-inch bored out by 0.030 in (0.76 mm). Despite the fact that it was 6 cubic inches (98 cc) larger, Chevy continued marketing it under the popular “396” label in the smaller cars while at the same time labeling it “Turbo-Jet 400” in the full-size cars.

Details will be forthcoming as we continue to research the cars history and improvements.

This is a fabulous opportunity to own a fully restored and sorted Chevelle for a fraction of what the costs are to restore one to this level, let alone the clean California car you’d need to buy in the first place! Whether you are wanting a car to show or for weekend touring, this is a great investment value. Please review the value guide as follows: NADA Guide
