THE ESSENTIALS

SOLD to Ohio!! This is a beautiful 1963 Ford Thunderbird coupe that has benefited from a fully photo documented professional restoration. Every piece of this car has been painstakingly restored and is in overall excellent condition. This T-Bird is ready for touring or concours events.

The livery is beautifully repainted in its original Corinthian White (Paint Code M). This is a beautiful repaint that is performed to concours standards and looks terrific today. The chrome and the stainless are in excellent condition as well. It is difficult to find faults with the cosmetics related to this car. There are several small paint touch ups that are visible upon very close inspection. The rubber seals have all been replaced and are in very good condition.

The interior has been beautifully restored in its original black vinyl (Trim Code 56). There are small tears on the bottom of both front seats on the outside. These appear as though they would be easy to repair. Otherwise, the interior is ready for show. The black carpet is in very nice condition and the black Thunderbird rubber mats are as new. The dash and center console look fantastic. We love the futuristic look this car has!

This T-Bird was produced on November 24 at the Ford Motor Company Wixom Assembly plant. It has the venerable 390 CID V8 that is a proven and reliable workhorse. The four barrel carburetor gives excellent overall performance. The engine compartment is also detailed for show and the undercarriage is beautifully and thoroughly detailed. See the photos of the restoration in the photo gallery. More photos are in the album that will be included in the sale.

We are offering this T-Bird at a fraction of the restoration cost and right in line with the Hagerty No. 2 value.

For more information and details, please call or text Harry Clark at +1.602.245.7200 or harry@classicpromenade.com. The T-Bird is available for inspection at our Phoenix showroom.

Interesting Fact: The Ford Thunderbird is an upscale vehicle that featured eleven unique generations. This vehicle sparked the expansion of the market segment for personal luxury vehicles that feature a higher emphasis on driving comfort, rather than high-speed performance. Production on the Ford Thunderbird occurred from 1955 to 1997 and then again from 2002 to 2005. By the end of 2005, Ford had managed to produce over 4.4 million Thunderbirds. The car was originally designed as a sporty two-seat convertible but was not marketed as such. Within a few years, a second row was added, and the Ford Thunderbird is known for getting larger and large in size until the late 1970s. Many V8 engines have been used in the Ford Thunderbird over the years. As the size of the model increased, a larger engine was also required to support the vehicle. This resulted in later models having poor fuel efficiency. While they weren’t advertised for speed, Ford used the Thunderbird body in their NASCAR races, with many hitting an average speed of about 200 miles per hour. The final Thunderbird was manufactured in July of 2005, but the vehicle still holds up as one of the most comfortable and high-performing cars to date!
