This Club Coupe is a well-built example that draws attention wherever it appears!
All panels are original steel and the car was thoroughly restored over the past 15 years.
The 350 cu in V8 is a new crate engine with about 1,000 miles from new. It has about 290 HP and has Edelbrock intake and exhaust manifolds, HEI ignition. The engine delivers its power through a 700 R4 four speed automatic transmission. The Ford 8” rear end ratio is 2:8 and allows the fourth gear shift to occur at speeds of about 55 mph. This makes for fabulous third gear in-town or mountain driving and makes for terrific fuel economy and comfort at highway speeds.
The front end is a modern A arm coil Chevy suspension and features power disc brakes.
The Coupe is painted in the perfect shade of Porsche Red. The sexy curves that are unique to the 1940 Ford Club Coupe look fantastic in its red livery. The paint is in excellent condition without scratches or dents. The chrome and stainless are also in very good to excellent condition.
The car has been engineered to be enjoyed on long distance tours. The owner was an upholsterer years ago and developed the interior of the Coupe to be comfortable for long-distance and daily driving. We encourage you to look at the photo gallery and the YouTube video for more details. It is gorgeous!
The present owners of the Coupe, Howard and Jane, bought it in 2002 and have continually improved it and has enjoyed showing it at regional car shows. Howard built in all the convenience of a modern car. It has modern air conditioning, electric wipers, power steering, brakes, windows and full tilt wheel. The dash board looks very cool in silver with black faced Stewart Warner full instrumentation. The Coupe also has a newer Kenwood AM/FM/CD.
It has been a multiple award winner and is ready for its new owner to love and enjoy. For more information please call Harry Clark at 951.901.5088 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
